One thing that pisses me off is people seeing fish in aquariums (the establishments, not home aquariums) and being like “It’s so sad because the ocean is so big and the tank is so small and they’ll never know freedom blah blah blah-“ I’m not talking about sharks and marine mammals here but the majority of fish are not at all bothered by being in an aquarium instead of the open ocean. Like, I personally would love to be a little clown fish in one of those big reef tanks. Fed regularly. Whole team of people monitoring my health and well-being. No predators. Medicated if I show signs of illness. Aquarium fish have cushy gigs in comparison to their wild companions.
#ABSOLUTELY#ppl are this way about both zoos and aquariums when it’s like okay but if these weren’t here would you even KNOW about this animal#so many of them use funding to do research and breed and help endangered species like they’re a bridge b/t the publid and ppl in the field#public

People have said so much about what a questionable premise romantic killer has but idk the world around you doing everything it can to force you into a romantic relationship regardless of how uninterested you are and constantly stomping on your boundaries so you can learn the “error of your ways” is pretty much the aromantic experience anyway 😶 take away the potato wizard and there wouldn’t be a difference
#ohh but honestly it’s true tho valid point from op#also a lot of people are saying the premise is questionable but i feel like the whole thing is written to shoot down the premise#and the shitty expectation that you have to be with someone esp if it’s forced#like anzu and kazuki keep repeating they’re not interested in daying and the ones who do like anzu romantically don’t force it#anzu’s entire role is to oppose Riri and she never backs down throughout the whole show#and Riri even comes to understand this more by the end like the wizards technically still have to do their job or whatever#i’m kinda rambling now but anzu and riri are definitely foils and feel like they were set up that way from the start#anzu still doesn’t end up wanting to date but sees the value in being closer to other ppl outside her normal interests#and at least to me it feels like theres a point where riri comes to terms with how bold and willing to hold to her values anzu is#but also how good she is to everyone around her and realizes they don’t need to interfere AS much#anywaysssssss#thinking a lot abt the end couple episodes#romantic killer
