I don’t fit in at home. You don’t fit in here. If I stay, we could not fit in together.

there’s a misconception that grief only happens when we lose people. this is not true. we can grieve circumstances, relationships, missed opportunities. in fact, sometimes when you find yourself plagued with waves of emotion from sadness to melancholy you may be grieving yourself. the version of yourself that you might have been if things had been different, or if only you had said something, or if someone had stood up for you.

Point is, I’ve always wanted to do things that scared me. But, well, it’s not so easy to be brazen when the thing that you want, that scares you to death, is sitting right in front of you. I scare you? Yes, yes you do. Because I don’t wanna be friends. When I think about what I wanna do most in this world… it’s you. Oh God, that sounded so much more romantic in my head. Just jump in any time, Nicole, beause I really, really don’t know how to do this. Oh, sure you do.
