AWWW THANK YOU SO MUCHHH!! I loved designing Recluza so much. I always kind of imagined her with this sort of Aurora-like quality to her. I’m so glad you love them because I do too!!

In terms of lore, I absolutely have plans for these two, but I’d keep an eye on their daughter, Venus, for real cool lore shit ;)

Hey, so, in case it isn’t abundantly clear because I feel like there may be confusion.

Toffee is the main character of the Septarsis Dragonfly AU

Ovelia is only getting particular focus right now because she is an Original Character that I need to naturally establish into the Star vs universe so her presence isn’t jarring and to set up relationships that are important later. Ovelia is the secondary main character Toffee is the primary main character

This is primarily Toffee’s story.

Seth’s younger sister, this absolutely lovely reserved and socially awkward yet regal Princess of Septarsis :>. She’s the middleman between Seth’s pessimistic ideas of war and Mylanie’s optimistic ideas of peace as the realist of the trio.

The peacemaker, oddball of Septarsis, friend to all, kid magnet, lover of people and culture, hopeful optimist with a love for flowers, and mother of the protagonist of the Septarsis-Dragonfly AU, Torrence Ambrose, known to many as Toffee.

The man. The myth. The legend himself.

Ruthless defender of his land and people, the ever present thorn in the Butterfly Family and Magical High Commission’s side, Queen Solaria’s merciless killer who proudly and boldly displays her skull, Rasticore Chaosus Disastervaine’s father, and the most unserious man you have ever seen with dad jokes for days.

I absolutely love Seth. I’d say more about him but I’ve already said so much about him already so read this if you’re interested to know a bit more about this awesome guy.

I cannot wait to get more into him later in the actual story💜

I was gonna save these two until a very important chapter, but ah heck, it’s Valentines Day, why not share two incredibly important people from Toffee’s past? His exes.

Extra information about them under the cut :>

• Ericka was a dedicated army member with a rebel streak who learned to fight dirty from an early age. After Toffee rose the ranks post-his friendship fallout with Eclipsa, they noticed and took an interest in each other, and she helped fully bring him out of his shell. After really getting to know one another, she and Toffee dated on and off during his bad boy teenage years. To say their relationship was… tumultuous… would be an understatement. One week they’d be inseparable and tied at the hip, the next they’d be screaming at each other and breaking up. Rasticore, the ever present third wheel of their trio, always knew they’d eventually get back together, and steered clear of their relationship woes. Being so young and prone to outbursts (from both sides), they were not a good fit, and eventually severed their ties permanently. Shortly after their final breakup, Ericka came out as a lesbian.

• Toffee and Favian first met each other in their youth. Favian’s parents were followers of Mylanie’s peace agenda, and the two young boys formed a friendship. This friendship turned into mutual preteen crushing, but eventually the two were separated for many years. After Toffee temporarily left the army to focus his attention on studying the history of Mewni, the Butterflies, and magic, he and Favian met once again and reconnected. Favian had become a mechanic/engineer, focusing on advancing the technology of Septarsis. He added enhancements to Princess Zarina Kardona’s robotic arm prosthetic as well as crafting many notable inventions. While Favian and Toffee’s relationship was significantly healthier than Ericka and Toffee’s, they still faced many challenges the deeper Toffee withdrew into his research. When Toffee announced his return to the army, Favian saw they were headed in very different directions and left.

SO YEAH IT’S THESE TWO I love them :D

Over the course of the AU, Star and Ovelia’s friendship is one of the most important aspects of the narrative, with its many ups and downs along the way!

Part of why I’m backtracking and spending so much time writing the prefic Mending A Broken World is to better establish their friendship! Because their relationship is so integral the deeper we get into the story.

So yeah here’s the girlies!! :D

Duchess Recluza Spiderbite’s design for the Septarsis-Dragonfly AU!!

Jushtin is my absolute FAVORITE Butterfly mentioned in the book of Spells (besides Eclipsa, who is my second favorite character in the show). I love him an absolutely insane amount, and I’ve got a lot of lore relating to him (more importantly, what comes after him). His wife, Duchess Recluza, is an often underutilized asset to his character who I’ve grown to absolutely adore.

I’ve had her base design for a while, but I didn’t digitalize her design until yesterday! And I figured I’d share it with you guys!

Her outfit is a placeholder! I’m planning on giving her a better outfit in the future, but this’ll suffice for now!
