OH MY GOD- Okay, rewatching S4 episode 5 and during the scene where Mike is saying they need to get to Suzie, he says, and I quote, "Suzie saved the world last year, maybe she can save it again." AND LORD IF THAT DOESN'T RING A BELL!!!

In episode one Mike says, "You do realize El's saved the world twice, right?" to Dustin when they're arguing on who's girlfriend is better.

Honestly, I don't know what my point with this dialogue was, but I think that it really shows that Mike doesn't really love El in a romantic way as a person, and is more trying to convince himself that his superhero/savior type feelings for her is love.
