Next up, we have the "White Castle" in Peoria, IL. The 1935 build has 4bds, 2ba, 2,472sqft, and looks more like a Tudor. The listing touts it's brick construction, but they painted it white, which really ruined it. $279,900.
It has a central stairway/entrance hall.
The built-ins are nice, and it's a great house for the price, but it's not a castle. Not even close.
A closeup shows the rough stucco walls.
Accordion doors open to a sun porch.
The kitchen refresh features painted cabinetry, new counters, and open shelving replacing upper cabinets.
Lovely breakfast alcove.
They list 2 baths, but it's actually 1.5.
The formal dining room is right off the alcove and has built-in cabinets.
Nice built-in linen cabinet.
Original glass door knobs.
The primary bedroom. This home still has so many original features.
They made a moody turret room, which is pretty cool.
This is a very cute room.
Nice 3pc. bath.
I love the built-ins in this house. That has to be a laundry chute on the right.
Here's a spacious bedroom with a nice big window seat.
Look at how cute the basement is. It even has an old fireplace.
Look at the little seating space. This would be a nice place to make a bar.
This is creepy.
Yesterday I said I have a phobia for electrical things. WTH is this? OMG, I would never set foot in here and it's probably the laundry room. Whatever it is, has to be cranked. The little vintage sink is cute, though.
Out back, there's a nice patio and garden.
Very large yard surrounded by a picket fence.
There's also a garage and lots of potential. 8,712sqft lot.

Fun fact: the guys at our college’s geology department prop out the doors with their samples. I totally understand why but as someone whose work with samples is necessarily super delicate and sterile it fucks me up so bad

shorthands for dumbassery that i have grown to love deeply
"how dare you say we piss on the poor" in response to someone misinterpreting your post
"_ isnt gonna fuck you" for suck up behavior
"woah. should we tell everyone? should we throw a party?" for who the fuck cares
"and what if the world was made of pudding" for when would this ever matter.
"and sharks are smooth both ways" for a group of people heatedly arguing with 1 guy who is fucking with them all
".. but its about a witch in the alps finding her lost cat" for someone trying to sanitize something to the point of absurdity

Beautiful 1870 homestead in Perkiomenville, PA. 4bds, 2ba, 2,130sqft, $525k.
Isn't this pretty? There's so much to see.
The current owner's parents inherited the house in complete disrepair. They lovingly restored it, and now their children have put it up for sale.
Look at the original cabinets. It's so cute.
The last time it was redecorated was the 1950s so everything was stripped away to get to the original elements. The walls in this home are 18" thick. The hardware on all the closets were hand forged.
What a lovely primary bedroom.
Cute vintage half bath.
A little foyer in the middle of the house for the stairs. That's different. Look at the old suitcases along the wall. What a nice idea. The original attic stairs are on the left.
This is another delightfully pretty bedroom.
The 2nd bath. They certainly decorated this house to the max. Love the vintage red tub.
Even the home office is cozy.
Nice large bedroom up in the attic. It's almost like a studio apt. The attic is finished and fully insulated.
There's a little patio in the garden.
A lovely original shed made of stone and wood.
What a picturesque property.
Check out the original barn.
According to the listing, in the barn loft there's still a towering original thresher.
Sometime during its history, they put a little addition on the back.
The property measures 3.72 acres, so it's a nice big piece of land.
