With everything happening around the world this year I took the opportunity to put together a collective of ideas that line up all with common interests. Very unique events and intelligent people putting out innovative products totally unrelated to each other but yet have many things in common. Whether you are into history, astronomy, religion, science, technology, astrology, sports, or just entertainment last year and this one has had so many events that were rare that having a solar eclipse, lunar eclipse, Mars close encounter and 12 new moons found around Jupiter only add something that makes sure you remember. 

Some could use philosophy to try to explain this in a matter of Socrates & Plato, while others could turn this whole event into a parody but the truth about it is no matter how you feel about these events lining up consistently like Chakras in the human body creating something new, useful and needed is always welcome comes down to personal preference. Just like Jupiter & Mars and the Ark: Survival Evolved for PSVR depending on your personality there is something being put out for everyone this year.

This new PlayStation VR game for the PS4 must have talented game creators that can see the future (joking), not only did it come out at the right time and looks well done and original next to another PSVR game called Ark: Survival Evolved - Aberration Expansion Pack, their have been some discoveries and news that will be remembered for a long time. Check out the trailer above and look at what has been happening in 2017 & 2018.

On July 31, 2018 Mars will be visible from the earth and closer than it has been in a very long time below you can see information on that as well as the best quality look at the planet with the given Ultraviolet technology, but coincidentally the longest lunar eclipse (blood moon) of the century is set to transpire on July 27, 2018. This is coming off the super blue blood moon (3 phenomenons in one) from earlier this year, and the total solar eclipse of 2017. If that isn't enough they just discovered 12 moons on Jupiter, compare that to Cassini's grand finale (satellite around Saturn) where we learned of all Saturns 53 moons like Titan, Enceladus (Prime candidate for life), Mimas (Death Star like the ship from Star Wars) and the Monster Lakes on the planet, it has been a good couple of years for fans of astronomy.

A new game from Wales Interactive Limited Time comes Time Carnage for PSVR. I like the idea they have with time travel mixed in with a person shooter feel to it. They PSVR has been bringing new ideas and ways of playing leaving full and Time Carnage looks to take advantage of the capabilities of the new platform and having the feeling of playing in and arcade. The fun of an arcade shooter in virtual reality looks like a good idea and win would like to see more of this in the future.

The Punisher will be back for a season 2 and is already filming and will be adding three cast members Josh Stewart, Floriana Lima, and Giorgia Whigham they are already filming and will I would like to see what the sory line will be for the new season. IGN has one video speculating on what the Season 2 villian will be as well as explaining the season 1 ending.

Volition earlier in the year was bought by THQ Nordic reuniting them with old Volition titles from the past like Summoner and Red Faction. If you are not familiar with the Red Faction series you are in luck Red Faction Guerrilla is being remastered and if that’s not enough Saints Row 1 and 2 are now backwards compatible on the Xbox One. Agents of Mayhem had mixed reviews when it came out but it was a different perspective that even though is chaotic it is different enough you won’t confuse it with a Saints Row game kind of how Saints Row the Third separated itself from being a GTA clone. Spider-man: Into The Spider-Verse is a good example on that as they are giving you a new look into what it is to be Spider-man with Miles Morales.

Samsung and Sony are competing to bring some of the best features for new experiences when you think of using your TV or home theatre. The Samsung QLED Q8C Curved TV with SmartThings content sync you can sync with other devices and appliances that allow you to close your garage door, check your washing machine and adjust the lights while watching your favorite shows. I’m a fan of the media hub that recommends content from your favorite apps like Hulu, Vudu, and Netflix. Killer Instinct one of the most strategic games in the fighting games genre deserves more credit and Shadow Lords DLC was a good design that adding something different to a fighting game with tutorials, story, and different objectives it can keep you playing and getting better at one of the more complicated games to master but easy to pick up. Another great mix was Blade & Soul reminiscent of Konquest Mode from Mortal Kombat this unique RPG/Fighting Game brings in a new standard and fun gameplay to the genre you can check out a Summoner vs Destroyer match below.

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite has gotten mixed reviews despite this it is one of the best in series for newcomers and existing fans alike. With its huge roster of fan favorites like Ryu, Chun Li, Thor, Spider-Man or Iron-Man and DLC characters like Black Panther, Venom, and Black Widow you can pick through a variety of combinations make every experience different from the last. The First Purge Official Trailer has launched which is good news to many fans it has been 5 years since the first Purge which was followed by 2 sequels Anarchy and Election Year. This movie according to James DeMonaco this will be a prequel to the trilogy to show why we have the purge, it is slated to come out on Independence Day July 4, 2018. 

Jamie Foxx has been confirmed to play Spawn in this new reboot by the comic creator and artist Todd McFarlane in association with Blumhouse Productions which made news last year with its movie Get Out. It is said that they are taking more of a horror approach, as well as Spawn not really speaking. That works good with Jason or Michael Myers but some dialog would be good I hope they rethink that. I would like to see what the official word is from Todd McFarlane himself but Spawn not saying anything doesn’t sound right to me.
