        okay so this might seem a bit sudden to some, and maybe not to others, but honestly it’s been coming for a while i think - i’m leaving wilshire. it’s taken me a long time to decide that this is what’s best for me and the fairest to everyone else - i tried just dropping a few characters, considered just revamping or starting some over, but at the end of the day i feel like it’s just not working. so, instead of letting myself get to the point that i hate all of my characters and can’t stand to write, i think it’s time for me to step back and let things go for a while. please know that none of this has anything to do with you guys! i love you all - i love your characters and our plots and just everything. it’s 100% a me thing.

        below the cut is what i personally headcanon is going on for my characters ( including the ones i recently dropped ) now that i’m leaving - if the admins don’t mind you’re welcome to assume this is accurate:

lilian - still around, helping people and taking care of her family. she discovered who her father is, and in doing so has become more hesitant about using her magic unless she really needs too.

eris - made out a detailed plan and a will, told her guards that if she hadn’t returned within two days to assume she was dead and deliver letters to each of her children. she went to meet with the clave ( to give them one last chance before declaring all-out war ) almost a week ago and hasn’t been heard from since - so while no one can confirm her death, many assume it. ( her kids can message if they want to know the details of the letters )

andi - got tired of the clave’s bullshit and left. because she’s still bound to an immortal downworlder she’s still very much involved with the shadowworld.

thea - she realized she’s spiraling and stepped down as the leader of the pride. she’s currently with poppy and they’re staying with one of thea’s old friends that lives a few towns over until thea can find a place on the east coast.

jj - finally joined the pack. she moved out and is living on her own in a house that she’s slowly fixing up, though she still spends a lot of time back home. got a job as a stripper and quit at the diner she’d been working at, still hacking away.

raine - she’s vanished. she was on her way to help a cousin in another institute but never made it there. her cousin got together a search party of sorts and is looking for her, but so far they’ve found nothing.

charlotte & lia - lia got anxious over the impending war and talked her mom into a road trip. the two are traveling the country, but charlotte swears they’ll be home in la soon enough.

theo - went to get his kids with rose, they moved away and are just living life as happily and safely as the can. he calls his friends and family regularly, keeping them updated on everything and sending pictures when he can.

morrigan - she headed back to her forest after collecting a few kids and checking in on the few people in town she cares about. she left trinkets with her people here in wilshire that would allow them to get ahold of her if needed.

daphne - her hunt for a way back to the land of the living continues, but for now she’s a little less invested and more focused on finding a way to help keep her loved ones safe in the upcoming war.

a small update:

any threads with lily or thea that haven’t been specifically plotted out and discussed will either be tagged as flashbacks or dropped completely. after the cut i’ll explain each of their mindsets, as well as a little bit of what they’re doing atm.

lilian: she’s coping. she’s worked on mending her own wounds and leo’s through the bond, before getting fed up and going to find him. she’s left rain in the care of elena and quill. she’s worried about thea, but knows she and thea aren’t close enough for the latter to want to see her. she’s also working on new protection charms ( and she’s put both wallace parents in jars and given them to jeremiah to do with as he sees fit ) 

thea: not doing well. she spent two days hiding out in her apartment with poppy, the two clinging to one another with occasional bouts of sobbing, now she’s bottled up all her pain and is finding someplace safe to send her daughter until the threat of war has passed. she’s going to be diving back into training with the werecats, claiming that she’s fine even though she’s clearly not. ( side note: her hair is it’s natural red and curly self, she hasn’t dyed it again and likely won’t for a while. )

Looking down at Rain and then to Lily again, she smiled to herself, yes, this was definitely her family too. “I’m pretty sure she outranks even us now, don’t you sweet?” Speaking in such a cutesy voice was something that Kat would never had expected from her, but when the little hand reached for her, the Siren couldn’t help but hold her hand out for her to grab, “Bout time though, you deserve a break too, and Leo can only take so much girl talk after all.”

        The second Rain had ahold of Kat’s hand she was heading off for Leo’s study, Lily following close behind as the small girl babbled - most of it was gibberish, though there were definitely a handful of words and phrases that were clear - tatie kat, daddy, mama, and something about a puppy that make her extremely giggly. Lily grinned at the sight, shaking her head. “Leo and girl talk honestly sounds like it’d be a disaster - I’m trying to imagine the advice he’d give and honestly...you should’ve come to me sooner. We’ll make up for it, manicures maybe? Drinks by the beach so we can soak up some sun? Or we could see a movie?”

     august was relieved to see lily, the past few days he hadn’t even barely left his loft which was rare for him. she smiled at her but it didn’t reach his eyes. “i’ve been so busy, and i’ve barely left the loft. i’m getting to some sleep, conjured coffee has kept me going.”

       “how lucky for you then that i stopped by,” she teased, hands on her hips as she studied him. “so, first things first - i want you to give me a list of what i can do. then i want you to go take a nice long bath, go out for a decent cup of coffee - maybe portal to that small little cafe in paris you liked and pick me up some macarons while you’re there, and just unwind a bit. the longer you spend cooped up in here the more this will all turn into a mess, you can work again later.”

      “lily flower?” he asked, feeling a familiar presence, peeking past the doorway of his office and spotting his best friend. he sighed lowly, but gave a soft smile toward her. “i apologize if i’m not as vibrant as usual, my duties as high warlock as of late have become increasingly tiring.” @lilianward

        “that’s why i stopped in,” she offers, crossing the room and finding herself a seat to settle into. “i had a feeling you could use a bit of help, i thought i’d offer my services. you’ve got to be exhausted, auggie.”

Kat had no doubt where she would find Lily at this point, and like usual she walked in without much of a care, though she did at least knock first this time. “Lily?” Seeing her with the little girl made the siren smile, something only their child could she was sure, “Cmon make Leo look after her tonight, girls night out?!”

        Lily’s not at all surprised to see the other woman, a grin on her lips as she shifts Rain from one hip to the other. “As if I’d actually need to make him - we all know she’s got him wrapped around her little finger. Come on then, Raindrop. Lets find daddy so auntie Kat and I can go out for a while.” she mused, setting the toddler down. Her grin widened as the girl reached for Kat, one tiny hand outstretched.

     not quite caring about the day being someone else’s ( even though it was his brother and his bride ) and having quite many people around who could witness it, leo wrapped an arm around  the warlock’s waist, pulling her close to his body and lips meeting hers for a proper kiss, only pulling away to be able to look at her beautiful face. a snort almost escaped his lips as he shook his head. “ elena wallace. i can’t believe i see the day. ” he said before the grin deepened and he tilted his head to the side. “ i could think of a person or two who could carry the name better. ”

        the shock that zips through her isn’t because she doesn’t expect the kiss - she’s grown accustomed to the affection in some ways, to the point that she often ended up in a bit of a foul mood if they hadn’t at least shared one or two moments like this each day. no, the buzz was simply a pleasant byproduct, a small burst of joy flooding through her at the thought that for one moment, everything was perfect. “oh please, it suits her wonderfully,” and at least it was the name of someone that loved her. she didn’t bother to hide it when she rolled her eyes, still grinning. “oh really?”

     “ my love, ” leo said as he approached the warlock in order to gain her attention, a soft smile on his face. he could swear the best thing about this wedding was to see her so happy, for some reason lily adored that girl who was marrying his little brother and while they weren’t leo’s favorite people, lily was one, so he was at least okay with it. “ be careful, you’ll upset the bride with your beauty. ”

        lilian had found herself a place just on the edge of the excitement, a grin on her lips as she took it all in. elena was finally getting a piece of the happiness she deserved - in fact, for the moment, everyone seemed to have found a moment of peace and joy, and the warlock couldn’t be more grateful. her grin widened as she turned her attention to the shadowhunter, pressing a quick kiss to the corner of his lips before shaking her head. “no need to worry, not tonight. tonight no one is as beautiful as elena wallace.”
