"Pippin had liked [Boromir] from the first, admiring the great man's lordly but kindly manner."
My contribution towards @boromir-week Day 5, for the prompts "The People's Prince" and "Member of the Fellowship". I just wanted to highlight some moments that show Boromir's kindness, because I love him and his kind heart so, so much.

As much as I love ‘I would kill for you’, it kinda really loses its impact if the person saying it is a villain who already kills at the slightest provocation
’I would refrain from killing for you, I would spare them all if you asked me’ is a very sexy alternative, and a much more powerful declaration of love coming from a character prone to violence

Compiled a few pics showing Legendarium refferences in Numenorian art from the BTS stuff shared here:

Plus these from the show:

Read this post on Numenor & it reminded me of how much I love these bits!!
Numenor is literally my fav Set in the show, maybe because it has a similar esthetic to my own culture 🤍 I love how ROP mixes different aspects of different cultures to create their Middle Earth so it feels familiar to a lot of people from across the globe!

hi!!! I wanted to create something for TSAW by @arwenindomiel, so here’s my interpretation of a South Indian Luthien!! This is actually an idea I’ve wanted to do for years now! The attire is very inspired by the designs in Ponniyin Selvan, and Luthien here is actually based on myself, from a picture taken during my Bharatanatyam arangetram!
"The leaves were long, the grass was green,
The hemlock-umbels tall and fair,
And in the glade a light was seen
Of stars in shadow shimmering.
Tinuviel was dancing there
To music of a pipe unseen,
And light of stars was in her hair,
And in her raiment glimmering.
There Beren came from mountains cold.
And lost he wandered under leaves,
And where the Elven-river rolled
He walked alone and sorrowing.
He peered between the hemlock-leaves
And saw in wonder flowers of gold
Upon her mantle and her sleeves,
And her hair like shadow following.
