it's a little ghoulish to read 'trans women of color and poor trans women don't survive' verbatim as someone who is both those things!
but the context was the question of: why are so many trans women white and middle class? and like. it's because people are racist and classist, and don't befriend, platform, or seek those types of trans women to where visibility would be at all equivalent. certainly being multiply marginalized puts you more at risk of harm, but we can't apply survivorship bias to such a question
i had a dream last night that hivemind released bits bracket 4 with special guest babytron except babytron was a beautiful trans woman and i was trying to watch the video but none of it made sense because it was a dream and i kept half-waking up and getting really confused
i love the graydon wants to be a dragon bit because there are so many things that almost connect and tie together but they're never acknowledged. graydon complains about being "boxed in" and then says he liked sitting in boxes as a child. he's talking about the imagination of children and then riley says graydon wanted to change his name to "dragons" which feels like the setup for an imagine dragons joke but it doesn't actually go there. the whole bit bewildered me the first time i saw it. it's also somehow a metaphor for being trans
