I emulate so many of my mom's tendencies. Every morning, she has a healthy breakfast of boiled beets, potatoes, carrots, and eggs -- lightly drizzled with olive oil. I want to preserve her essence by adopting some of her habits. I can't think about it for too long without crumbling, but quite feeling the acceleration of time.

Started a small garden on our deck; kale, radish, and carrots to start. Abbie overheats in 2 seconds but still begs to go outside constantly. I know I'm feeling like myself a bit more when I have the desire to garden and post here. :)
