Evaluation
In the beginning of the project I was feeling really excited creating new content, I planned solely on a genre, I was going to explore straight away (RnB) and I made a brief plan in my book of the genre, target audience, set style etc... But as time went on I thought about creating a promo video with a fast beat, I began to place my ideas around (possibly) garage music. I’ve included garage artists; Crystal Waters, Tina Moore and Azealia Banks. However as time went on I started to listen to Dua Lipa ft. Calvin Harris One Kiss, and then I began to draw myself towards House music videos. I began to understand the beat, I realised that house music videos are always set in the summer, personally I like House music videos are because they tend to be portray randomness in the most creative way possible.
Throughout this project I have managed to produce images and videos which I am proud of and I was amazed at how good they came out considering I spent in total £50, which was the foliage and flowers. I was on a tight budget, so I needed to think of an idea I could afford, but would appear bold, confident and screams girl power. However this isn't to say that everything went smoothly throughout the process. I was struggling to find someone to play my artist, I casted many girls, but all seemed to be busy or unreliable. So I made sure that I had a model which wouldn't cancel, and luckily I did. The video shoot took three days to film and two days to make (once in Greenwich park and twice in the studio). I know that filming and editing in premiere pro is not my strongest suit, but considering I filmed, edited and produced the promo video myself, I surpassed my own expectations and created a unique colourful music video. Other issues I encountered included getting permission to film in certain locations e.g. The Barbican and Southbank, this could have effected the quality of the shoot and perhaps I could have been more creative. Although I do like the shots I have in the studio and in Greenwich park.

The poster, CD Inlay, and CD booklets was quite difficult to work out, but by far is my best work. I love the floral theme, it reminds me of summer and makes me want to lay in the sun. I was inspired by artists such as; Frida Kahlo, Crystal Waters, Dua Lipa etc There work was and is creative and colourful, I feel like I have put myself out there in terms of creating something that was completely different to my previous work.

Creating this photoshoot was really fun, i’ve purposely surrounded the flowers around my artists head. I was trying to illustrate a beautiful angelic girl that also has a dark side, I felt it necessary that my artists wore this checkered top because its funky and clashes-IN A GOOD WAY! I wasn't sure whether I should have include a title over my image, however I researched other music posters. I realised that most music poster include a title and date of the release.
Later on my images were printed in the set layout given to us by the course leader. I am glad that I decided to place my images illustrating my artist lying on foliage. I think it stands out and will draw attention of people that are interested in this genre of music or just like the images.
My CD itself is this image:
I wanted to incorporate this image more than once because it illustrates my artist in an innocent light. I like the vibrant yellow, I think it contrast well with black backdrop. My artists skin tone is radiant, she and her yellow sunflower appear to be glowing.Gorgeous!
I cropped the image to how it looks on my CD (broke my phone so I am unable to take pictures and send via email.
Overall I am pleased with my outcome, but I did not expect to not involve a lot of struggles and stress. I adore the imagery that I have produced for this project. However I am not to pleased with my promo music video, I feel as though I should have reshot some scenes because of dim lighting (but I was running out of time) and spent more time on the editing in premiere pro but some shots were too jumpy, I feel like I should have slowed them down. BUT looking on the bright side, I have managed to create a seemingly creative promo music video, that goes along with the song ‘Flowers’ considering I have never made a promo video/music video.

Promo Video ‘Flowers’

This is my final video, I am really pleased with some shots and others I am not so pleased with but as a whole it works.
With a mix of shots from both outside and in the studio, I feel the video plays with a variety of imagery and lighting effects. Moreover, the use of quick shots that fit in with the beat of the song adds an exciting and somewhat unsuspecting feel that keeps ones eyes drawn to both the video, as well as the use of vivid, bright colours in the background, props and on the artist themselves. Given that the song’s chorus revolves around the giving of flowers, I felt using flowers as a very literal illustration throughout the video offered a connection between the song and the video. Moreover, the use of colourful flowers resonates with the summery, house genre with which the song offers.

Editing my promo video
To edit my promo video I am using premiere pro, I have used this previously before to make videos, and I am comfortable with using this software.
I always make sure that I render the sound and the video, so that the whole piece runs smoothly.
I changed the colouring in the videos to make my model appear more tanned, I increased the sharpness on every video to make each video more clear. I had fun in the editing process because this is where I get to be the most creative.

LAST DAY VIDEO SHOOTING
AND THATS A WRAP
Today was my last day shooting, I have finally gone through my whole video shoot plan, and have made a few minor changes to fit the theme. I cant wait to start editing this together along with adding in the song.
In this shoot I used a purple backdrop (which I previously planned) and foliage as the backdrop. I wanted to create a summer feel with the flowers and I think that I have managed to do that. I like these shots from today so pleased!
My next step is to move onto the editing process.

SHOOT DAY (2nd video shoot)
I wanted to stick to the flower theme as much as I could so I decided to put flowers in my artists hair and on her lap.
Today’s shoot went really well and I managed to stick to the plan when in the process of filming. My artist came across really confident on video, which is what I was extremely worried about because when I met my artist she was quite shy, but I managed to bring her out of her shell, and we got some really good shots.
I am glad that I randomly decided to use a yellow and red backdrop, I am hoping that this aids in keeping the video unique and entertaining.
SET
This is set one, I forgot to take a picture of my second set with the red backdrop, but everything stays the same in terms of lighting.
I decided to use the snoot on the light to highlight my artists hair, which helps in breaking up the background and my artist. Also I used the beauty dish, because it is one of the most flattering types of bright light.
COSTUME
I kept the bottoms the same because I wanted my artist to stand out and look funky. I wanted to change the tops, so that she is not wearing the same outfit in every shot.
When I shot in Greenwich park, my model wore a grey T-shirt dress.
I was inspired my hair inspo posts on Pinterest, so I put flowers in my artists hair. I decided to use baby pink flowers and daisies because I liked how delicate they looked in her hair.

SHOOT DAY (1st Video shoot)
Today I did a short session of filming with my artist in Greenwich park, as previously planned. The weather was beautiful, so luckily the videos I captured look warm and sunny.
SHOTS I CAPTURED:
I am so pleased with the shots that I got today because I did try to incorporate shots with the sky as the backdrop, which was inspired from Dua Lipa music video One Kiss.

PLANNING 90SEC PROMO VIDEO
As I have now finished making the CD Inlay, Poster and CD booklet I am going to move onto planning the 90 second video.
The 90 second promo video is supposed to promote a new up and coming artist. This promo video will allow us to show the client at SYCO records what genre my artist is and if she is good enough to sign.
PLANNING:
I know I should draw out my planning, but I find it confusing when I do that, so I have decided to make it easier on myself and write a list, with descriptions of what I want in each shot.
I timed the music so that I could work out how many shots I need.
Of course I will try and stick to my plan because I need something to work from, but if any shots change in the meantime I will notify.

Editing Process
I edited this image by increasing the brightness and lowering the contrast, I also increased the vibrancy within the image to aid the flowers in standing out and looking more colourful. I clone stamped more leaves in the bottom of the image, so it appears my artist is laying in a field of some sort. I love this image it’s bright, bold and rememberable.
Next I just made my artists skin look flawless by using the spot healing tool, which automatically gets rid of unwanted blemishes or uneven skin tones. I increased the brightness and lowered the contrast, so that the white flowers don't wash out.
With this image I cleared my artists skin by using the clone stamp tool and spot healing tool. After this I wanted to make it seem as though she has ultra shiny highlighter (make-up) on, so I used the dodge tool to increase the brightness on certain places on her face.
This was the last image I decided to photoshop, because I feel as though I don't really need to photoshop my other images. I brightened this image and lowered the contrast.

2nd shoot selected images
These are the images I have selected to go in my CD booklet and cd inlay. I will use the first image twice for the inlays because I want the images to flow well.

This is the image I chose for my poster, I will have to retouch it slightly to increase the brightness and photoshop some more greenery on top of the purple backdrop.

2nd Shoot day!
Today I shot the rest of my images for my CD booklet,CD, inlay and poster. I’m glad with my results and the shoot came out even better than what I expected. Luckily the foliage did not make my imagery look too similar to my final major project. But I think my artist stands out, looks confident and sexy.

I have chose these images to go into my CD booklet, I like how they are different but still have the same theme of flowers.
My model is really shy in real life, so trying to get her to come across confident was a challenge, but I think that I have achieved that in my imagery.
Now I will selected the rest of the images from my second photoshoot.
