wait im genuinely confused, how was tsp always woke? I don't remember anything from the original that could've been seen as woke

i put examples in the tags of that post, but because multiple people have no reading comprehension, here are some more in depth examples... also i love talking about tsp anyway so im not too mad

also disclaimer, i use woke as a good word and NOT a derogatory term like many do. why wouldnt you wanna be awake and aware?

TSP has ALWAYS been anti-corporate, which is woke. it has always shown corporations as evil, horrible powers that are controlling. this is quite literally spelled out for us in the freedom ending.

employees are mind controlled, stanley is scared of his boss, they perform experiments, etc. on his coworkers to maximize productivity at the expense of their sanity (432).

the stanley parable being an illusion of choice also corresponds with capitalism. no matter what you do, no matter the choices you make for that ending, you end up back in the office. you end up with the same story you could diverge from, and yet.. you cant. you cant unless you unplug and leave the game, like going off the grid or running from corporations.

TSP:UD also straight up mocks greedy corporations that have a hand on the art industry, such as disney or EA games. before the new content, they discuss how excited they are for the new sequel just for it to be one sign or the same game.

on the ios exclusive version they mock paywalls. many see it as the narrator being cocky, but the devs were making fun of paywalls and trials. they make the presentation over the top and yet a nothingburger because that's what corporations do. they show sneak peeks they cant tell you anything about because they want you to purchase their product instead of letting you know about the art inside, and the narrator does that by showing a screenshot from the skip button ending and epilogue. he also markets himself saying "who wouldn't want more of me? i think that sells the game all on its own." which pokes fun at boring ass sequels made by slapping another character's face on it to entice fans of that specific character.

even the door 430 achievement, which is fun and light hearted, is very much comparable to being anti-corporate. the narrator, a higher power who bosses you around, makes you jump through hurdles and hoops for the promise of an earning. this is like bosses stretching out their employees with the promise of a bonus, raise, or approved time off.

there are SO many more examples. the stanley parable has always been woke through anti-capitalism, and they even have a joke about the narrator being gay in the museum ending. not only that, but davey wreden has never been afraid to go against what people think with his games when the political climate was.... well yeah. he straight up told people to put his new game on the woke games list and shows multiple nonbinary and trans characters in it when the government is trying to eradicate us. play tsp(ud) with this new mindset and yall will learn so much about what the game was meant to be, and maybe even learn some reading comprehension skills.

I couldn't find a color reference when drawing, sorry! I can always add colors later and repost for you if you'd like! Very angy guy though, looks so serious and has a pretty cool outfit!
