A host is a headmate who fronts frequently and takes care of the body and the system's affairs the most.

The dark blues represent how a host may feel overwhelmed at times and need help. The light blues represent the work the host puts in, and the gray represents dissociation.

Do you know a collective term for ‘‘protectors’’ and ‘‘caretakers’’? I don't know of that makes sense.. but like 😭 a term to describe both of them at once (e.g., ‘‘yeah, sorry, you'll have to talk to a ____ about that!’’)

That makes sense! I've never heard a term for it so I'm just going to coin it!

The light brown and shield is for protecting roles The pink is for the care and love that they have while fulfilling these roles The blue and medical cross are for the gentleness of caretaking roles

The colors are a lighter version of our host flag. The dark blues are for how the co-host may feel overwhelmed and need their other hosts or another alter's help. The light blues are for the work that the co-host puts in, and the grays are for dissociation.

A protector is an alter that protects the system, whether emotionally, physically, sexually, socially, or any other way. They may front to protect the body from physical harm or mental harm, they may protect headmates from other alters, or any sort of threat.

The dark oranges are for the harsh situations, emotions, and people that protectors may have to deal with. The lighter oranges are for the protection they give, and the security they provide. The grayer colors are for dissociation in general.
