School Day: Sept. 7, 2022
Today has been quite tiring. As I write this blog, I have approximately 5-8 unfinished or still in-progress homework to do. I reached my classroom and asked some of the classmates I had there if they wanted to pay the ₱5 class fund for classroom materials and got a few who wanted to. It seemed that the door was still locked with one of the ceiling fans still turned on. Before we left yesterday, we were sure that the fans were all turned off. I'm guessing this happened because during class hours yesterday, the electricity to that specific ceiling fan was somehow cut. Whenever one of use tried to turn it on, we were unsure of whether we left the switch as on or off. By a 50/50 chance, the switch was actually set as 'on' but since at the time the fan wasn't working, nobody realized it. When everybody had left, the electricity returned and the fan was turned on until the next day. Anyway, me and 2 other classmates went downstairs to find the keys for our room since it was still locked. We waited a little at the lobby until we found Sir Elec and asked for the keys. He entered the faculty and I assume he asked for Sir Rull to give them to us since he came out after with the keys. We came back up and opened the door. First period was a little difficult since I was trying to take notes and listen at the same time. I think next time, I'll just completely listen instead of focusing too much on taking notes because it cuts off my flow of thought. We were supposed to have Earth Science during our 2:00-3:00 PM period butz, coincidentally, we had to attend the Strand Elections. We were against all of the STEM students including those in the 12th grade. I believe only three 11th grade students won places in the election. We went upstairs shortly after and came back to our room on the fourth floor. We had Komunikasyon for an hour, and were left with some homework due tomorrow and a group reporting activity. At this point I was already tired but our Oral Communications class made up for it a little. We played charades competing for extra points in our next preliminary exams. My group didn't win the most points but I definitely don't mind and had fun. Final period came which was Pre-Calculus. We were taught how to convert standard forms into general forms of circles and vice versa. It's incredibly simple but I made the same mistake I did a few hours prior. I took too much time taking notes and ended up having a bad understanding of the lesson. We had to answer four problems with a deadline of 6 PM and at some point I was so stressed out that I was sweating and writing like a mess. Thankfully, I was able to finish it on time and leave the school.

School Day: Sept. 6, 2022
Before I went to school today I made a list for activities that I've done, haven't done yet, or will do. I remembered how easy it is to lost track of the things you need to do especially in school so it made sense to make one. I entered the school and sanitized my hands, and then I went upstairs to my classroom. It wasn't the best start since the ceiling fan on our side of the room wasn't working for some reason and I was already sweating just a few minutes after. First period started with our teacher being a little bit late but I didn't particularly mind it. We learned about a few philosophers like Socrates and Platos and ended the lesson with a bunch of homework. Philosophy takes up over two periods in our schedule so the third period is actually only our second subject during Tuesdays. Anyway, it was ICT time and shortly before our teacher arrived, I had only then remembered about today's quiz after Lesson 4. I went over to my friend Joshua, who let me read some of his notes. I spent the rest of the time studying those notes and I sometimes still did even after our teacher started the lecture. By the end, I was told that me and Josh would've scored nicely but that quiz wasn't recorded. It's okay though since there were some questions that I struggled with and we were allowed to restart the entire quiz on a different day. Soon came our teacher for Oral Communication and we spent half the time listening to her, while the other half we spent on answering a seatwork. For the final period, which was Pre-Calculus, we learned about the standard form of a circle and how to create an equation out of knowing its center coordinates and radius. On previous math-related lessons, I was able to understand them relatively smoothly but for this one I had to study it for around an hour or two before the process locked in my head. When I started answering the homework we got, I noticed something strange. When proving that equations 1 and 2 were equal, I ended up with 197=101. I blame this on the negative sign on one of the given information as when I tried to solve the same problem without the negative sign, I ended up with 5=5. I believe this would've been the right answer but for some reason, our teacher told us that it definitely was still the one with the negative sign. I'm still a little stumped but I guess I'll find out how to answer it properly tomorrow. After that, I discussed some plans regarding classroom materials since I was one of the classroom officers. Some of us ended up just donating materials since they weren't being used in their homes. The time was 11:10 PM when I got in bed when I received a text which reminded me of this activity. I nearly forgot, but atleast now I'm finished at 11:35 PM.

School Day: Sept. 5, 2022
Today began the second week of hybrid classes. I’m currently an 11th grade student studying at SJC. I chose the strand STEM because I wanted to follow my dreams of working for the aviation industry. Today, we held the classroom officer elections during our first period. It was very fun but I never expected to be nominated as an officer, let alone win. For our second period, we were taught about the origin of the world and some background information surrounding it by Sir Mamino. The third period is where we learned about the evolution of the web, technology types, history regarding the internet, and is also the reason why I’m writing this very blog. We then had General Mathematics for our fourth and final period. We checked each other’s homework and fortunately, I got a perfect score. I’m very happy with that since I spent a long time studying the lessons and the process. After that, we were taught how to model piecewise functions in word problems. It was simple from what I remember but I know all too well how math can go from 0 to 100 real quick. I will continue to study well so long as I still have ambitions to chase after and parents to make proud.
