Hi there 👋🏼 I wanted to ask, since you’ve been making podfics for a while now, do you recommend using hard drives to save your work, or do you just have it backed up on your computer? Also if it’s the latter, do you ever worry about running out of space on your computer?

I back everything up on an external hard drive! The audio files are quite large and if I don’t move them to the external device regularly, I run out of storage on the Mac.

Hello, I’m pretty new to this fandom and have been seeing the majority of fanfics tagged as podfics. As someone stumbling mentally devastated into this mess, wtf is a podfic/what does this all mean in a nutshell?

A podfic is like an audiobook of a work of fanfiction. Podfics make fanfic portable. What flavor fic do you like? I could recommend some podfics you might enjoy. Also welcome to the crew.

Hi!!! I’ve been listening to your podfics for a couple of weeks. I think I must have listened to over 20 by now. I’ve listened to one (not pickles by smallestchurch) I’ve listened to 3 times. I love the way you read, you really draw out the emotion in the dialogue and the actions. I’ve had trouble getting my mind to focus on reading for a while so your podfics have been a dear companion to me. Thank you so much for recording these and pouring so much love into them.

I am glad you are finding them to be helpful/enjoyable! I just love making them!! There are currently about 1100 podfics of OFMD stories… here is a spreadsheet that is sortable by title, narrator, rating, length…. Those are some of my current favorites…
