My confidence and worth used to be found in my image and abilities
however I constantly fell short.
I was mistaken, later humbled, and thankfully stripped of my pride.
By His grace I now know and believe
I am a servant of Christ
and God made me in his own image.
My identity, worth and hope is found in Christ alone.
My life and everything thereof is now His.
He's given me a story too good not to tell, so I'll spend my whole life telling you about it!
I'm a girl who lives in Charlotte, loves and lives for God and appreciates fashion, being punctual, a robust cup of coffee, sunshine, diy crafts, and laughing uncontrollably.
Simply put, I'm a girl just trying to keep it classy, cute and conservative. I'm still working on the fourth C, concise.

“Ready in Season”
Today's devotional from Oswald Chamber's My Utmost For His Highest:
Be ready in season and out of season —2 Timothy 4:2
Many of us suffer from the unbalanced tendency to “be ready” only “out of season.” The season does not refer to time; it refers to us. This verse says, “Preach the Word! Be ready in season and out of season.” In other words, we should “be ready” whether we feel like it or not. If we do only what we feel inclined to do, some of us would never do anything. There are some people who are totally unemployable in the spiritual realm. They are spiritually feeble and weak, and they refuse to do anything unless they are supernaturally inspired. The proof that our relationship is right with God is that we do our best whether we feel inspired or not.
One of the worst traps a Christian worker can fall into is to become obsessed with his own exceptional moments of inspiration. When the Spirit of God gives you a time of inspiration and insight, you tend to say, “Now that I've experienced this moment, I will always be like this for God.” No, you will not, and God will make sure of that. Those times are entirely the gift of God. You cannot give them to yourself when you choose. If you say you will only be at your best for God, as during those exceptional times, you actually become an intolerable burden on Him. You will never do anything unless God keeps you consciously aware of His inspiration to you at all times. If you make a god out of your best moments, you will find that God will fade out of your life, never to return until you are obedient in the work He has placed closest to you, and until you have learned not to be obsessed with those exceptional moments He has given you.

Borrowed Goods...
The following is derived from a talk I heard a year and a half ago on weakness.
Identity: defining who we are in Christ, freeing us from the traps of this world that call us to finding our value and worth in accomplishments, looks, intelligence, performance, positions, titles, money, and power...
Weakness: the practice of admitting, embracing, and living out of weakness is a means of Grace because it forces us to find our identity in Christ and not our accomplishments, titles, position, and by doing so opens us up to peace, purpose, and Power in ways previously unattainable.
Surrendering: to His Kingdom verses spending countless energy, hours and heartache building our own to meet our deepest desires only to realize they can only be met through Christ.
This comes to mind...
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
