Module 4.1: Learning Task 1
Market analysis
·         to whom should we advertise?
- my target market is high - middle class startup business owners aged 18 - 50 years old
·         where to promote?
- i will promote my business through social media ads, newspaper ads and a website to showcase my portfolio
·         what internal and external forces may be operating?
- there are many other graphic design businesses available in the area
- most of these businesses are already established and have worked with several companies
 Establishing Media Objectives
·         Reach
- the people who will be reached by my ads will be those who frequently use social media as i will buy ad spaces on social media sites such as facebook, instagram and youtube. those who read the newspaper will also see my ad in the ads spaces for the older people in my target market. 
·         Frequency
- social media site ads will be frequent and will help imprint my brand’s image in the minds of my possible clients. those who are interested in my services will most likely google graphic design services in bacolod which will lead them to my website where they can access my portfolio.
·         Circulation
- I will place my ads in the Visayan Daily Star and the Inquirer as those are the two newspapers which are read most often by Bacolod City residents.
·         Cost
- as my ads will mostly be on social media site i will be using the cost-per-clik
·         Penetration
- social media ad spaces will enable penetration for clients to see the availablity and services my business offers. i wil also partner with big companies who host events such as smart in order to promote my brand
 Developing and Implementing Media Strategy
·         Develop a media mix
-          My media mix will be the use of newspapers, websites, and social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube
·         Determine target market coverage
-          My target market coverage will be partial market coverage as I will be covering the younger generation through social media sites and the internet. The older generation will be reached through newspaper ads. However, about 30% of my target market will not be covered because they might not be using social media or reading newspapers.
·         Determine geographic coverage
-          For geographic coverage, I will be releasing my ad on newspapers that are published across negros and most especially Bacolod city which is the center of Negros Occidental. My social media ads will also be released to mostly Bacolod City residents
·         Scheduling
-          My ad will be using a combination of both intermittent and continuous scheduling method because graphic design is mostly needed when people are starting out businesses. A great example is this pandemic as many are starting new businesses due to loss of employment or just to try something new during the pandemic.
·         Reach vs. frequency
-          I will have to reach more people in Bacolod city rather than have them see my ads frequently.
-          Although reach is more important, frequency is also important so that my possible clients will be able to remember my business. To do this I will have to get an ad space in social media and newspapers every week.
·         Creative aspects and mood
-          My media mix is newspapers, social media and a website. The creative aspect and mood of my ad will be modern and a little bit future thinking as it will represent my brand’s ability to offer services that will last clients a long duration for future use of their logos and other graphic design material.
·         Flexibility
-          Newspaper ads are not as commonly seen as social media ads anymore but the older generation still look to newspapers for ads. As for the younger generation, I will be able to reach them through social media sites that direct them to my online website which makes my ads flexible
·         Budget Consideration
-          I will alot a budget of 10,000 pesos for advertising for the website domain, website designer, newspaper ad space and the social media ad spaces.
·         Media buying
-          Newspaper ad spaces and social media ad spaces will be bought. A website domain will also be bought.
 Evaluation and follow up
 1.       How well did these strategies achieve the media objectives?
-          Information about this will be found out through research and surveys conducted all over negros through telephone surveys and face to face surveys.
2.       How well did the media plan contribute to attaining the overall marketing and communications objectives?
-          The media plan helped lay out the things to be done in order to achieve my advertising goals in a more tactical and strategized way by analyzing each aspect from my target market and media mix to my budget and frequency of ad.

Marketing background
- My target market are business owners who host events, exhibits, etc.
Problem identification
- My goal is to raise awareness about the services i offer. To show that my business is more convenient than others because I offer packages suitable for their needs.
Advertising objectives
- My objective is to advertise my service to my target market through mediums/platforms that my target market access often
Creative objectives
- My objective is to create a website to showcase my portfolio. Another object is to create print ad and online ad posters about my services.
Creative strategy
- My website will be easily accessible, clean and easy to get around. My poster ads will be clean and easy to understand and will deliver the message efficiently through appropriate text and graphics
Creative execution
- I will hire a website designer to create my website the way I want it to look according to the image of my brand
- I will layout my posters according to the image of my brand and I will print them on quality paper to represent my brand’s quality of service and will give my brand a professional look
- I will create a facebook page which will have the similar look as my website
Creative evaluation
- I will ask family and friends about their feedback before releasing my brand
- I will leave a review box in my website where clients can leave their reviews
