Doing a little more research and asking around work today, I was able to confirm that 50 people are definitely gone, and theyre planning on firing more. But if they weren't fired, then I.C.E would show up, fire them, and then detain them, so really this is the lesser of two evils.

Don't get me wrong, they shouldn't be fired in the first place. There shouldn't be problems like this. But at least they aren't being detained right now. I have the utmost hopes that everyone in my community, and everyone in the US, stays safe.

All of them had visas, but because of the new laws a certain pumpkin skinned idiot has put in effect, Walmart fired them so that I.C.E wouldn't raid. I can understand them not wanting an I.C.E raid, but that's 27 people who were working hard to support their families, in one of the few stable jobs out here, just suddenly jobless. I live in a neighborhood mostly full of people from Haiti. Friends and neighbors, kind people. I was hoping they'd just forget about this city and leave them alone, but that's was obviously wishful thinking.
