Where are all the "slow" kids, the challenged kids, the burnouts from birth, the burden to have in class? Where are the autists who can't mask, who self harm, who are loud and can't stop stimming? The NDs with processing disorders, brain damage, brain fog? The ones with down syndrome, FAS, and other conditions that people treat like curses or defects. I hardly ever see them past 18 and I know they don't just dissolve once they become adults.

I've decided to use the term "convenience food" instead of "junk food."

I think it's more honest, and less loaded. It's all food, some of it is more appropriate when you don't have the spoons left for food prep. It takes slightly more energy to peel a banana than to open a bag of chips.

We try to save the convenience food for days when we need something easy, so eat a banana.

Your butch making funny little sounds and baby talking to your child since the womb, so they get familiarized with his voice. And then the baby fits perfectly lodged against his waist, tiny chubby legs hugging the side of your butch's stomach.

I need to see other butches. I need to see other butches unapologetically masculine and shirtless and relaxed in nature. I need to see other butches on TV and in my books and in my shop and bar. I need butches whose masculinity is not apologised for by feminine or otherwise mainstreamly redeeming qualifiers, like whiteness, thinness, able bodied-ness, attractiveness, feminine faces, earrings, women's jeans and shoes. These things are all okay, but I need to see a butch character who's not been shaped to be acceptable for all audiences with reservations about queerness. I need a butch who's fat, hairy, deep voiced, who's older, who wear shirts and ripped jeans and boots instead of dapper suits. Butches who are on T, or have PCOS, butches who also identify as ftm, or as a woman no matter how they're seen. I need trans femme butches who are fucking ACCEPTED for however they show up in their bodies and clothes.

We need butches not sterilised and redeemed by cis/het normative bounds of expression.
