“ merlin’s fuck !! ” he curses, pushing the girl away and wiping the excess mess up himself ― before taking out his wand to perform a quick drying and stain removal spell. “ you do know the rules about drinking right? to STOP when you can’t anymore? merlin. thank fuck for doing that just as i’m about to call it a day. ”

❛   i’m not drunk --  ❜   she starts,   though she quiets as he continues - she’s aware explaining that she’s not drunk but simply buzzed won’t help her situation at all.  she steps back considerably,   guilt-ridden;   she’d been annoyed until he’d explained that he was just about to finish his shift.  no wonder he was upset!   ❛   i’m sorry,   you’re right.   i wasn’t looking and i didn’t even see you but i should’ve been watching where i was walking.   can i make it up to you?   i know you’ve already cleaned your shirt but i could pay for a new one if you want !! ❜

 ♡ ―  ❛  lucinda !!! :

        it was undoubtedly rude of lucinda to simply grab the magazine, but nobody had ever accused her of being especially polite. she was far too direct to ever qualify. “ points for taste, ” lucinda murmured, not even acknowledging the very kind out hestia had given her for her rudeness.

        lucinda, upon hearing hestia’s words, paused in her flicking for a moment, to look up at hestia for a moment. “ definitely not looking for those, ” she said bluntly, before resuming in her flicking and finding her face in a picture attached to an article. “ a-ha, ” she said, dropping the magazine down on the bench to spread it out and look at it closely, tapping her finger against the picture and scanning the words. it appeared to be a profile of some sort, but at least half of it was filled with speculation about her love life — terrible journalism. “ it looks like it could be worse, ” she muttered, in a tone which didn’t suggest she thought that it was particularly better, even if it could somehow be worse.

  ❛    not a fan of horoscopes,  i take it.  ❜   hestia grins widely, unperturbed by the woman’s aloof response.     she leans over her shoulder  (  perhaps far too close for it to be deemed comfortable,   but she hadn’t gotten to the section lucinda had flipped to and her curiosity got the best of her  )      to read  what lucinda’s eyes were currently glued to.  

the content makes her grin grow  -   though she raises a hand to hide it,  steeling herself to tighten her smile before brushing her hair behind her ear in a slightly unnatural gesture to further hide the fact that she’d try to hide her growing smile -  and she raises her brows at lucinda.   ❛    i’m guessing none of it’s true ??  it seems a bit too scandalous for you.   interesting,  but scandalous. ❜

❝ you’re all right, sweetheart. no worries! ❞ alice soothed, though she was unable to hold back the tiny round of giggles that bubbled up at seeing the other girl so frantic. it was endearing. ❝ honestly, i’ve had this sweater for ages. maybe this was a sign from above that i need a change. i am sorry about your drink, though. it smells amazing. ❞ 

❛   i  ... if you’re sure.    and,   uh,   it was actually a strawberry tea.   ❜     hestia pauses in her actions, her once aggressive attempts at drying the other’s sweater turning to hesitant pats until she drops her hand altogether,     a sheepish smile gracing pale features.    she’s silent for a moment   ( or rather, silent for her  )   before she grins widely,    a new-found spring in her step.   ❛    let me make it up to you,   please.   i can buy you a brand new sweater -- and i insist.    ❜

♡  ―  ❛  remus !!!

with his walkman tucked down in his pocket, his ears were completely drown by the soft melodies that drifted from his headphones. music had always been the wolf’s escape. he found it easier to listen to some band complain about their life, rather than actually have to complain about his own. 

though, the thing about listening to music was the fear that he might not hear anyone if they tried to get his attention. he hardly ever had this problem, becuase he didn’t know many muggles and he had to walk in muggle london to even get his tapes to work. that was all fine though, he didn’t really mind london. he actually adored london. he loved the noise and the bustle. it was so much different than the wizarding world.

as he walked along the streets, he paid little attention to what he was doing. which ultimately proved to be the worst idea, because as soon as his cassette clicked off, his shoe nicked a rock on the sidewalk and he fell face first on the concrete.

muggle london was the only place hestia could acquire the specific, quirky muggle things that she found to be so interesting - for example, her favorite horoscopes and muggle gossip magazines - and so she left the shop with a particular spring in her step, grinning from what felt like ear to ear.

as soon as she stepped out of the shop, however, she saw someone land flat on their face ; she snorted loudly before she could stop herself. gasping, she flushed in embarrassment and quickly went to help the poor soul up - why’d she have to laugh out loud?   ❛    have a nice trip  ??   ❜  she teased with a good-natured grin, hoping to alleviate whatever embarrassment he might have.

❛   i really am so sorry !!!   ❜  hestia continues to apologize, having moments ago crashed into someone and successfully dumped the contents of her fruity drink onto them.   without looking to see how extensive the damage was,   she immediately reached to grab napkins off of the nearby table to dab at their clothes ; in her moment of stress forgetting both boundaries of personal stress and a simple drying spell.

        lucinda was on her way to sip her coffee when she noticed there was a picture of her in an inset on the cover of the witch weekly lying in front of the person beside her. she had no idea if it was theirs or if it had just been there when they arrived, but she also didn’t care. “ can i — ” she began, seizing the magazine without bothering to finish her sentence and flicking through it to find what the hell she was doing there. quidditch profiles were fine, but she hardly expected quality journalism from a gossip rag like this.

she’s initially shocked -- mouth agape as she feels the magazine disappear beneath her arm -- but she glances at lucinda and smiles, giving a little laugh.  sure, she’s put off by it but what sense would it make arguing?   ❛    that’s okay !! i wasn’t really reading it anyways.    ❜ 

hestia turns in her seat, leaning forward as she watches lucinda inspect the magazine.   many considered it to simply be a gossip magazine filled with lies and at the most simply over-exaggerated truths, but she still found it to be an interesting read herself.   ❛    looking for something specific?   i think horoscopes are at the beginning.   ❜

hello !!! my name is katie but you can also call me kait / kt / anything u want really !!! and this is my sweet extra daughter hestia !!

╰ °✧ ( LIABILITY BY LORDE ) comes on as soon as ( HESTIA JONES ) comes into the room. she is ( twenty ) and was formerly in ( GRYFFINDOR ) and is rumored to be sided with the ( ORDER ). some people say they look particularly look like ( PARK SOOYOUNG ) and would describe themselves as ( BOLD ), but also ( SENSITIVE ).

here are some key points / just little things to know about my young daughter !!

there isn’t a whole ton with canon in regards to hestia; canon does state that she has dark hair and pink cheeks. i chose park sooyoung / joy from r red velvet for her !! she’s represented often times with red or blonde hair but just know hestia has dark, almost black hair !!

hestia’s personality type is the performer; she’s very friendly and outgoing and flirtatious. 

she’s conflict-averse and likes to keep friends everywhere; she’s not likely to start or continue conflict and will do her best to ease any situation away from it. 

her parents are pureblood and so is she; although her parents and family alike don’t have a clear opinion on the blood purity issue either than they’d like to stay out of it, she very firmly sides with the order.

during her time at hogwarts, her house was gryffindor; she was a year behind the marauders and their squad.

isn’t the best duelist around; she joined the dueling club during her time at hogwarts in order to change that fact. she’s still not great but she’s trying !!!! she’ll always take tips she loves to learn : -- )

she is fairly clever !! although she isn’t naturally the brightest student and has trouble with her attention span, she worked v hard to get good grades. she isn’t and has never been afraid to admit she doesn’t understand something and that aided her !!  ( side note: if you think your character would’ve been a tutor or study buddy to her you are most likely right hmu !! )

hestia’s dream in life is to be a singer; she loves to write songs and perform and will literally show anyone her craft ngl. her parents aren’t super into the idea so she hasn’t made any moves on it and with the war coming she feels like she has bigger fish to fry but just know its her passion y’all

she’s a lowkey thottie but it’s just bc she loves everyone she has so much love to give she’s really just a free spirit (tm)

she’s pretty manipulative she knows how to work people to get what she wants but you’d never realize it bc she’s so nice

as for negatives; she says she sides HIGHKEY with the order but if she was approached with literal voldemort and he was unarmed and she was given the chance to end it all she’d still wanna talk it out. she hates conflict, really doesn’t believe anyone can be inherently evil and believes she can change things    ??? it’s kinda selfish esp bc she doesn’t consider that people feel so strongly otherwise bc they’re literally being hunted ( a pureblood who’s been kinda sheltered away from the effects of blood purity doesn’t really get it tbh )  also again, manipulative, doesn’t have a ton of close friends as a result, kinda self-centered

she’s pan but has a leaning towards women that she knows her parents wouldn’t approve of so she’s highkey spooked(tm) by it ok

now as for wanted connections / plot ideas / etc.: 

friends !!: i know this is dumb but just general friends. doesn’t have to be besties bc as i said as u get to know her better u may not want to know her. however on the surface she’s a fun friend !!! she in some way knows everyone ya feel 

past flings: she’s never really had a Serious Relationship however she’s had tons of flings ( and remember she sides w the order but is v conflict-averse and loves people in general so literally anyone )

the dude her parents want her to marry but she’s like : -- ((( : okay so her parents as previously mentioned aren’t blood purists but they do want her married to someone that can Care For Her(tm) and Provide For Her(tm) so if u got a Good Boy(tm) on ur hands (or a not good boy that seems like a good boy) hmu !!!

the person she has a gigantic crush on: ok so i’d prefer a lady(tm) for this role but just hmu tbh. it can HIGHKEY be unrequited i do not care but she would highkey fall hard for ONE person and just be in shock bc shes like wow i wanna hold ur hand and go on dates with you? this is so weird haha but as friends obviously :’ -- ))) 

her  wizard chess rival: she’s great at wizard’s chess give her just a casual rival i would love that i love a good rivalry 

a bestie!!!!!: anyone hmu someone that can deal with the aforementioned things and maybe try and Get Her Woke(tm) to the real effects of the war

former tutor: for dueling club or her studies, she was clever but not particularly smart and had trouble focusing. she was a good student and loved to ask questions and learn ok luv her

anything else really hmu !!!!
