the mansion gardens were her favorite place in the entire lot. the plant life and almost all the elements present - crystal felt at peace. it was true that her abilities were mostly used for combat, but she loved the feeling of just using them in general. while she didn’t share the same overt sentiment that inhumans were superior to humans, she did love that she gets to perform these feats. concentrating, she had both hands in front of her and waved them in circles to feel the air and then began to collect it into a medium-sized column, ready to be thrown against an opponent. however, since the situation didn’t call for it, crystal simply let go, a huge gust of wind spreading around her as a result. she did however, feel someone else’s presence. worried that her demonstration might have damaged something, she looked around and tried to find the person. “h-hello? may i help you?”

hercules was hoping that the gardens could be a place to find some peace and quiet of his own, to clear his head. the few-decade time jump was like a blink of an eye for the immortal, but that did nothing to prevent the headache that came along with adjusting to a time before the 21st century conveniences he’d grown accustomed to. it still astounded him, how quickly the mortal world could change. when he was instead greeted by the demonstration before him, he watched quietly until the unfamiliar girl was finished. “no not at all, sorry if i disturbed you...” the god’s expression mimicked that of a curious child as he nodded past her, to the empty land that had housed her display just moments earlier. “that’s pretty impressive. is it magic?”

ok i’m not gonna go through the whole mythological backstory bc we’d be here all night BUT basically he was a born a demigod (yeah, ur lookin at the son of zeus my dude), and then when he died zeus felt bad and made him fully immortal and now he’s a god whoo!

ok so fast forward a few thousand years and ya boy is a party animal!! celebrating every time he won a battle or saved a world eventually turned into one long party... still hero-ing here and there but his reputation wasn’t the best bc his drunken antics got him into some trouble (don’t even ask about his time in tijuana with deadpool) 

but he’s turning that around!!! he’s been doing his best to stay sober and restore his reputation, both for himself and because he feels the need to prove himself to the other avengers

highkey lowkey a recovering alcoholic who can be temperamental but he’s trying really hard n i’m proud of him
