Hazbin Hotel Fans will Hate Season 2, and it's because of headcannons

Right so, I watched Hazbin Hotel for the first time in January and, well, I've noticed a little bit of a thing about Alastor. So, a lot of fans keep adding all these little headcanons, which is fine, but, they keep acting like it's canon to the point of criticizing (or straight up dumbing on) Viv for "changing" Alastor from pilot, when he had a total of five minutes of screentime? Guys? Huh? I mean, I get it, no content for years, five minutes to work with, lots of fake stuff is bound to be headcanoned but, you know it's not canon, right?

Like, they're saying they made Alastor edgier. ??? He's always been edgy? You know he was manipulating Charlie the entire time so that's not even an accurate version of his personality?

I predict fans will hate season 2, because of their headcanons.

Guys. We need to face the music, Fanon Alastor and Canon Alastor are not the same.

Fanon facts:

Alastor is a mommy's boy

Alastor enjoys only black coffee and jumbulaya

Alastor is an insomniac

Alastor cares about the Hotel

Alastor is.... less powerful because of a deal he made with Charlie's mom?

Alastor is being forced to protect Charlie

Alastor is super mysterious and powerful who topples any foes.

Alastor cares about Husk/Nifty

Alastor hates being touched.

Alastor is scared of sex

Alastor gets awkward if sex is brought up.

He's besties with Rosie

I could go on, but I won't. None of these things are proven by the show. Or in the show. At all.. they are just assumptions or completely made up by the fandom. Which is fine, but, let's not pretend Viv wrote him that way on the actual show.

Here are some things that ACTUALLY are things about Alastor, with the facts presented on the show:

Alastor enjoys eating raw deer (Seen in show)

Alastor hates when people are stronger than him (Lucifer)

Alastor has a fragile ego and will flip out or get pissy/irritated whenever anyone challenges him. (He butts into songs, got mad when Lucifer existed, got mad when Carmilla didn't care why he was gone, got very upset when Husk implied he was under someone else's control, had the delusional gull to fight an actual archangel, and not take that guy seriously during said fight while not even bothering to use angelic weapons he was so cocky, acted surprised when he almost died, also freaked out about his ass being kicked)

He is using Charlie to get power. We see him trying to get a deal with her in pilot, and then finally he strikes when she is vulnerable like he has no doubt been waiting for months. He's probably gotten a lot of souls that way.

Rosie is implied to be an ally, that does not mean bestie. I was suspicious of their relationship based on the way she just handles him and then the face she makes when she says "never done me wrong before" like somebody who is in control. They could literally just be lunch buddies for all we know.

I don't know where people get the Lilith thing from. It's reaching for me, and would kinda suck actually, demonizing Lilith is a bit of an overused concept in media. Alastor does not have a deal with Lilith that we know.

Asexual does not mean scared of sex. Stop stereotyping.

He is an absolute bastard who enjoys people's suffering greatly. All evidence suggests this.

Conclusion: Stop making Alastor Harley Quinn.

Death Note and Misogyny

Basically, if the female characters were written as people, Light would have been screwed written as he is.

Frustratingly, there is a very, very simple fix to this.

Problem one: Naomi.

Either make Naomi a teenage girl so she's not an experienced seasoned FBI agent being fooled by a teenage boy who's making outlandish claims and who also never even thinks to just give said kid her number. Or reach out to her contacts in the FBI to get the name of the family her husband was watching.

OR, alternatively.

Light, "I am Kira"

Naomi.... "you're... you.... how.... how dare you! You murderer! You took him from me!" *proceeds to launch at Light in pure rage. They struggle, and the cop dude who walked by earlier witnesses this and races towards them. Then, Light knocks Naomi into the road. She stumbles, and stands up. Everything slows. Ryuk starts suddenly cackling. Light's mind is racing about how that must have been a fake ID.

Then, suddenly, Naomi goes stiff. Her eyes glaze over, she grips her chest. Then a car hits her, and her body goes flailing through the air. Light pretends to be an innocent person. There is a witness to prove he's "not Kira".

Away in the distance, on top of a building nearby, is a girl dressed up in lolita wear. She stares down at Light, and let's out a giggle. "Whew! That was close!"

NOTE: Let's have MIsa already know Light. And have a huge crush on him, and also be a little younger than him. That was her falling in love with Kira and her behavior make way more sense. She's delighted to find out her crush is also her idol. Things proceed and Light only changes his reaction to Misa just to one of familiarity.

Dracula is a comedy

I've been reading Dracula for the first time and why did nobody tell me that is allegedly gothic horror is in fact a COMEDY?!

Jonathan: Can anyone tell me where Count Dracula lives?

Transylvanian peasants: *horrified* *Crossing themselves* *already mourning the stupid englishman* *shoving crucifixes into his hands*

Jonathan: ah... country people are weird. Oh well I'm off what strange customs they have. *Is picked up by creepy carriage driver*

Count Dracula: *Disguises himself as the driver, then quickly costume changes into himself why Jonathan is passed out* "Welcome to my house! Enter freely and of your own will!" *staring at Jonathan who walks in obviously*

Also Dracula: *Running around the castle pretending to be a full castle's worth of people, cooking Jonathan's dinner and making sure his feral brides don't eat his houseguest*

Also Also Dracula: *Yeets Jonathans mirror out the window right in front of Jonathan who's mid shave* *Keeps Jonathan awake all night asking him basically every single question he could think of while Jonathan is too polite to tell him that he is tired and wants to seep*

Like this is pure comedy. Why has nobody approached Dracula like this?

My Hot Anime Takes

Demon Slayer is actually a vampire anime.

The not-vampires burn in the sun

They are warded off by a plant

Muzan's power over the vampires is exactly like Dracula's power over those he has over the thrall.

One "demon" turned all other demons- AKA vampires.

The main motivation of the not-vampires is that the bad guy wants to conquer the sun.

It's only called Demon Slayer and Demons because Vampire Slayer has already been done.

AOT's ending sucked ass and feels like it was written by Masashi Kishimoto with how insanely misogynistic it suddenly became (having the main reason any woman does anything be love, killing off the female characters, specifically Hange, for NO REASON, because ain't no way Floch clung onto life after being shot for 260 miles. Not to mention Ymir being in love with the man who enslaved her. Such bs, wouldn't have been that way if Ymir had been a dude.) Also, the antisemitism. Don't know what I'm talking about, read a history book about what this was based on.

Mikasa is Sakura with Sasuke's character design.
