IPYTM Episode 3: Oh-aew Only Edition

okay, i haven’t posted anything about itsay/ipytm and honestly i don’t really care if no one sees this but i just want to put my thoughts out somewhere. i LOVED itsay, i really did and i was so excited for this season but seeing what happened in episode 3 of ipytm was… um something. i’ve always loved teh and i know a lot of people disliked him even in itsay but i found a lot of comfort in him, seeing as he is very human and fucks up from time to time. however, they really fucked up his character this season and i had some problems in general with the writing this season. from the way oh aew’s problems just get solved in like two scenes to the time jumps and how they wrote teh. i really hate the fact that it’s so normalized in the media for someone to cheat, it is almost too rare to find queer storylines that don’t involve cheating in some way. they could’ve done the “exercise” thing a lot different, they didn’t have to include that teh is suddenly getting feelings for jai to make more conflicts. in my opinion, they established enough problems already but instead of exploring the hard parts of being in a long term relationship they just went haha here’s teh just being a terrible person. teh’s action until that point are pretty much explained and justifiable to a degree but THAT…. yeah idk what that was. i like them exploring teh losing feelings but a cheating storyline is never necessary in my opinion. kinda depressing to see such a good show have a sequel that’s just barely average
