Asana Lab: Arm Balances Thursday, April 6th | 7:45-9:00 PM @yogarenewhoboken ALL LEVELS WELCOME Whether you’re brand new to arm balances, or a seasoned practitioner, this workshop will be packed with tips and tricks for facing fears and taking flight. Arm balances often have a bit of a mystery around them because they involve so much strength, concentration, and the proper alignment. When you don’t know where to start, they can be really confusing! If you’ve also picked up some bad habits, they can be even more confusing! Lisa will take you through the preparation and overall break-down of the poses Crow and Side Crow. Both are often seen in open level classes and we don’t always have the time to get into the specifics. Your nasal passages are your first line of defense against disease. When you clean and care for this important space, you’re less likely to be impacted by whatever may be floating around out there! These days, netipot is available in most drugstores and all you need to do is fill it with warm water (this should be clean water that you would also be able to drink), salt, and you’re good to go! 🧂some benefits of using a netipot include: ✨ easing sinus headaches ✨ preventing allergies ✨ eases sinus pain and pressure ✨ reduces snoring ✨ helps overall breathing 💧I personally need to use something called “nasya oil” along with my netipot practice to avoid my sinuses getting too dried out! One of the main principles of Ayurveda is: LIKE INCREASES LIKE AND OPPOSITES BALANCE. If you’re sad about something and it’s raining outside and you’re covered in blankets and already feel heavy and slow, you will probably feel even heavier if you order a cheese pizza and eat more than you know you should. Have you asked yourself how you’re feeling today? If you’re feeling heavy and slow, go for a brisk walk or move through some Sun salutations. If you’re feeling too hot and sharp, practice some soothing pranayama (breathing exercises). If you’re feeling dry or like your thought and actions are moving all over the place, take a bath.
