Sometimes Buddy goes into bars acting like a stereotypical tough guy and tries to deepen her voice. Most people think she’s just a young boy imitating what’s around him. She’ll say stuff like “I can lift a bajillion pounds! Look at my muscles I’m so strong”. She’ll comment on girls in mags like she’s seen some guys do. She really only does this if she’s nervous and thinks people think she’s a girl. Most of the time she just goes in, buys what she needs and runs out. She’s a terrible liar but she gets away bc most people can’t really tell the difference between a young boy and a girl. Buddy is my goober. I always thought of this idea and Buddy acting in this twisted idea she has of masculinity whether intentionally or not.

Hi! I've been helping Nader @abdalsalam1990 fundraise for his family's evacuation fund. He's a 17 years old Palestinian boy who's stuck alongside several family members in Gaza.

They've suffered multiple displacements, their family house is destroyed, and much like anyone else stuck in Gaza, they're in desperate need to leave.

There's very small children in this family, and there's also Ahmed, Nader's father, who's sick with cancer and is in need in urgent surgery that he cannot get as long as he's still in Gaza.

Nader and I consider each other friends at this point. We talk every day and it's been heartbreaking to witness his suffering and fear. A 17 years old boy should be worrying about school, videogames and friends, not trying to save his entire family from a ruthless genocide.

His family's campaign has been vetted by @gazavetters, it's campaign #4 here.

We're moving things along, but progress is slow, and anything could happen any minute, any second, and things are stalling again.

Now that I've got your attention (people stop scrolling for a poll), I am making this post on behalf of Nader @abdalsalam1990, as I have a large following which could help it get traction. This campaign has been vetted! (#4 on the list)

Nader is 17 years old and his family is in Gaza facing dire circumstances. Food is scarce, prices are high, and there are shortages in water. They, like countless others suffering during this war, have already had to relocate many times, and their home is destroyed. They do not have enough money to safely relocate right now, or a stable source of income, as places of work have been destroyed.

Any amount of money can help Nader and his family escape this destruction.

This campaign currently has (as of the time I write this post) €11,540 out of €50,000 raised, with 627 donations. I have donated myself and I know a lot of my followers can afford to donate at least something. It's not a hard donation process, so I hope you take a moment of your day to show some support.
