The Perfect Winter Vacation in Going am Wilden Kaiser!
Tumblr media
Going am Wilden Kaiser is cradled by the old and wise Wild Kaiser. It lies protected, both by the mountains and its older sister Ellmau. It is a beautiful and young soul, still learning from its neighbouring friends across Austria. Tucked into bed by the magical and white snow blanket, gives Going its energy. It is a part of the Kitzbühel family that lives in the Austrian region of Sölllandl.
Tumblr media
Tourism keeps its heart pounding while supplying the visitors with a mystical vacation. It is a part of the "Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental", making it easy for him to connect with his friends.
Tumblr media
For tourists, it stays the life of the party, with new activities emerging constantly. From cross-country skiing trails, to toboggan runs, to hiking, ice skating, climbing and so much more - Going has it all! It is a people pleaser but keeps its skills such as handicraft and trading.
Always friendly, Going knows how to connect with people and get what he wants. Although this can lead to some over exaggerated and misleading information about the young soul, it is not afraid to stand its ground and tell everyone that they are worthy. It is after all home to some of the most delicious Austrian foods and delicacies. Popular dishes include: apple strudel, Wiener schnitzel, Tiroler Gröstl, Kaiserschmarrn, and so much more. It makes sure to offer enough options for everyone. Restaurants such as das Oachkatzl and Brenneralm are a "must visit" and has "a welcoming and engaging atmosphere" according to many visitors.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Still a small but emerging city, Going has roughly 1850 inhabitants and has an area of 20.57 km^2. It lies at 773 meters from sea level, just below the average height of Austria at 910 meters. It stretches itself to provide access to larger areas such as Ellmau through the use of the Astbergbahn chair lift. Therefore, skiers and snowboarders are set free and are able to tour the mountains, only to return at nightfall. For many people living in bordering areas such as Munich, this is the perfect weekend getaway spot.

Giving access to the Wild Kaiser in the north but also having the protective Kitzbühel Alps in the south gives everyone options. Although Going is a young soul, it has a long past, dating back multiple centuries. In 1160, it was first mentioned in a deed, officially taking part in "grown-up" business. It has hidden treasures lying underneath its skin. In the beginning of the 16th century, both copper and silver were mined between Going and its neighbour Oberndorf. It is a craftsperson's village, as it is serene, down-to-earth and authentic. The young soul mixed with the old roots makes It feel planted, yet forward-looking.
The perfect stay is dependent on each individual visitor, but many say they can't get enough time there! You can rent a beautiful old hut such as "Landhaus BergMoment" or "Appartement Eichhorn" can show the history of Going, and experience the culture fully. Hotels are also great options if you simply want to get away and not have to worry about anything. Some of the high quality hotels include the "Boutique Hotel Bruggwirt" and "Sentido alpenhotel Kaiserfels". But make sure to book ahead of time as it is a popular destination!
Tumblr media
With temperatures averaging at 1 degree Celsius overday in the winter, and around 10 hours of daylight, it offers the perfect and cozy winter atmosphere. The feeling of being out all day, wrapped up in warm clothes, skiing, snowboarding, hiking and then entering a hut to drink your tea or hot chocolate or eat dinner, can never be beat! Visit Going to experience your dream winter holiday!

Describing Destinations - Bryn Mawr
Tumblr media
Bryn Mawr lies vegitative outside the large, roaring and breathing city of Philadelphia. It carries history that changes the lives of all women by grounding liberal art colleges for women. It takes pride in helping push the gender gap closer, giving life to a better future. Saskia Subramanian, a graduate from Bryn Mawr College, said, “it was beautiful and full of smart, academic young women who were interested in books and concepts and studying. I knew this was the place I wanted to be''.
Tumblr media
Bryn Mawr is the grandmother who makes sure she always looks presentable, takes care of the new generation of grandkids, but has an iron first when it comes to laws. The star on the billboard as she reaches far above her peers succeeding in wealth, lifestyle and taking care of herself. Yet, she likes to stay quiet, focusing on herself and not being pressured by others. Reading her book of rules, while seeing residents leave to party in another city, because she isn’t afraid to use her gavel. Katherine Hepburn, who studied at Bryn Mawr College, said “Bryn Mawr is one of the most magical places to grow up in. The winter wonderlands, the nice people and the astonishing elements of nature”. The beautiful sunsets, the mystical winters, and cozy autumns evenings make up the year-round unique but incredibly lovely atmosphere.

Earth's Masterpiece: The Rainbow Mountains
The blood orange, sunflower yellow, cotton candy pink and sky blue make up the mountain's layers which often appear in a Dr. Suess story, is only non-fictional right? Well you can visit these mountains in real life! The Gansu province in China holds one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites: the Zhangye Danxia Landform, also called “The Rainbow Mountains”. The earth's artistic palette comes to life across the rocky mountains which allows you to see nature's true history through the colours.
Tumblr media
The rainbow layers tell the story of the past 24 million years through the tectonic shifts, climatic conditions and the erosion of red beds composed of gravel stone, sandstone, siltstone and mudstone. Around 540 million years ago, the area where the rainbow mountains are currently resting was once part of the ocean. Tectonic plate collisions caused land to press together to form mountains which then only rose higher. The mountains now reach altitudes between 2000 and 3800 meters, and range 40 km from east to west, and 10 km from north to south.
Tumblr media
The colors are most vivid from June to September due to the strong sun which also brings along nice weather for tourists. Feel the earth come to life and visit the Zhangye Danxia Geopark! The word Danxia means, “rosy clouds” which emphasises the mountain's beauty in its name. The park has a marvellous area of 322 square kilometres making every corner of the park unique. The isolated peaks, steep valleys and geological formations are created by the changes in weather; from desert conditions, thawing temperatures, to wind and water shaped the natural phenomenon.
Tumblr media
It lies in the foothills of the Qilian Mountains and it is understandably popular among tourists, as it's listed among the ‘most beautiful’ places in China and the world. Tourists such as Margaret H. said, “the mountain scenery was breathtaking,” and “I didn’t believe it until I saw it with my own eyes.” You can also experience many of the 400 rare species of flora and fauna that these mountains have preserved over the years. Book your next trip to China to grace your eyes with the ethereal views!
