90% sure it won't happen, but wouldn't it be hysterical if we get most/all the way through S4 of Helluva Boss, get an actual entire Stolitz wedding scene, and only in the middle of it do the two idiots realize neither of them ever gave an actual genuine "I love you" to the other (not counting the "roleplaying" in Full Moon).

Now they're both trying to be the 'first' to say it but they're just overlapping each other over and over and kind of forgot they're literally standing in the middle of a ceremony.

tfw the guy you used to deify to the point of delirium is now crashing on your couch and eating all your cereal. This is kinda meant as a 'then vs now', 'what I believed vs reality' kind of piece but honestly I made it because as much as the stolitz journey is emotional and heart-rending and hopeful............... it's also incredibly fucking funny to me. Like, you basically subconsciously worshiped this dude and now he's your bum ex-situationship who's off his meds 😭😂 Absolutely wild, I love it. Little tangent about something I noticed in Stolas' design under the cut!

It's been pointed out that Stolas' lack of pupils may have been an intentional design choice to enhance Stolas' eeriness and aloofness since he was conceptualized as a villain, automatically reducing how expressive he is. I've noticed they seem to do something similar with his eyebrows.

Removing eyebrows for exaggerated comedic expressions or intense surprise is normal, but I've noticed that throughout season 1, outside of episodes that specifically focus on Stolas relationships or emotions (loo loo land, ozzies) they'll more frequently remove Stolas' eyebrows at normal speaking moments. It has the effect of enhancing that otherworldly, indifferent attitude in Stolas' interactions and making it more difficult to see what's going on in his mind. In fact, it kinda has the effect of making his faceplate look more like a mask (something I tried to emphasize in my art too). It's not the most consistent thing, the eyebrows can come and go in any episode. I just noticed they seem to 'go' more frequently early on in the series and I like the subtle impact of it. Favorite examples below:

My favorite supporting character in the new short is Blitz's ADHD.

I've mentioned before how much I love that he's so consistently depicted as having combined-type ADHD. The tldr of it is, he's an adult who can't sit still and is also not always aware of where his body is in space. Like me. And that portrayal is rare in media. 😍

So in the new short, when Blitz and Loona are waiting for the target to say goodbye to his kids . . .

We can see that Loona is usually stationary and using her phone, while Blitz is almost constantly moving.

Yes, they're in different states of mind. Loona feels like waiting is the right thing to do, while Blitz is impatient. But also. Have we ever seen Blitz wait patiently for anything?

Notice how many of these activities basically amount to stimming to pass the time in any way he can . . .

And then, with his mind frying due to losing father-daughter time and horrible boredom, he also ends up clumsy/accident prone.

When it comes to Loona and Stolas bonding I have some go-to faves that I'm very fond of and often see other people exploring too, like Stolas teaching her magic or Loona helping him with fashion and stuff like that! But honestly, what I actually want to see more than anything is situations where Stolas shows Loona that he can be relied on when she's vulnerable, that he's someone who can be trusted to help her when she needs it! There are lots of big ways to show this but the smaller ways you can be there for someone matter too, so I wanted to make a sketch of Stolas being a reassuring presence for Loona in a low-stakes but still meaningful way 🥺
