So I should probably explain my disappearance from the earth, um, due to some computer problems I was having the file that had all of the references for Men’s tweaked design, his main magic item and the Picori blade were in fact corrupted just as I was getting the finishing touches on them. After taking three months to finish them, and I fell into a depression.

So I have to redesign the blade, thankfully the magic item is simple enough to remember and his design is semi saved but I’ll have to draw all of his stuff. I’ll probably have some drawings out by next week or so. His stuff and finish designs will have to wait. But you will get to see peaks at his updated design and I will probably draw some of the others as well. I might show off his Zelda as a treat for waiting so long rather then the big entrance I was going to give her. Please forgive me for my absence.

I’m taking way longer then expected, so a small writing snippet to feed ya’ll while I draw.

“You wanna pet him?” Sky asked with a smile, stroking the bright red loftwing calmly. He didn’t really hide very well, his eyes lit up at that. He quickly snapped himself out of his very poorly hidden excitement.

“He, doesn’t bite right?” He asked hesitantly. The bird might have reminded him of Zeffa, but all his past, ahem, encounters with cuccos didn’t make him so eager to pet the bird. Ugh, the thought of it could make him shiver.

Sky chuckled, “Oh no, he can be playful, but he won’t hurt you. Isn’t that right bud?” Sky said, as the large bird gave a trill and nuzzled its owner.

He rubbed his arm and shifted a bit. “If you say so.”

He stepped forward, wow… it was really big compared to him.

“Just hold your hand out, he’ll come to you.” Sky offered. He rubbed the bird one last time, placing a small kiss on the bird's head and stepping back to give them space.

Then it was just him holding his hand out to the bird, as the bird looked down at it curiously.

They both just looked at each other for a while.

It reminded him of his meeting with Zeffa, except Zeffa flew up to him immediately and Zeffa wasn’t a giant bird. Well, when you were normal sized anyway.

Then the loftwing stepped forward, he stiffened, still holding his hand out. Then the bird put its beak in his hand, closing its eyes softly. He was stunned, then he chuckled as the bird immediately tried to nussle him.

He was then attacked by a barrage of nuzzling and happy trills. His chuckles then turned to giggling as he tried to fight off the nuzzle attack from messing up his hair. “Hey, hey! You're getting my hair all messy!” He said as he playfully batted at the bird who continued to keep nuzzling him.

Sky chuckled as he rested into a grin, walking up to pat the bird. “See? He likes you!”

“Maybe a bit too much, he’s messing up my hair!” He laughed, giving up his attempts to stop being nuzzled to death, as the bird continued to keep nuzzling him even more.

Zeffa is definitely gonna be jealous when he comes home again. If he doesn’t get the silent treatment that is.

HELLO I JUST SAW YOUR MEN ART AND I'M SO NORMAL ABOUT IT!!!! (lie) Minish cap it's one of my favs games and it makes me really happy watching stuffs of it :3c

and i would actually like to hear any random stuffs about your thought process while designing 'em :D

(also sorry if it's a large ask, i really didn't mean for it to get long)

Alright, the main thing with his design is I REALLY wanted him to look like he could’ve come from the time in between Skyward sword Tears of the kingdom and Minish cap, along with keeping elements from his mural in Minish cap.

I have it also in his items and his design, HEAVY influence from the Zonai. Due to the theory of the Minish and Zonai actually related to each other and that is canon in this corse of events.

If you look at his eye markings you can see the Zonai especially! (Also a little four swords reference) I will probably draw the Minish of his time but they have markings more similar to the Zonai rather then the normal one cheek dots from Minish cap!

Also his eyes themselves are actually an effect of his gimmick item like how you see Legends pink hair, Twi’s markings or Times markings. It’s a result of that, this is the same for his scars.

Also as you can see, he has a minish feather behind his ear. I didn’t want him to have a piercing like Four because he’s about 12, yeah you can get them at that age but I don’t image it’s like how it is now with the gun and all that in how you get pricings in Hyrule so he doesn’t have one. Also it would be kinda repetitive with Four.

Now his tunic! This went through a LOT of changes.

The one with the full body was my first ever try at designing him, I wasn’t that happy with it. So I went back to drawing board and started making concept designs for him. At first went with designs inspired by the Roc’s cape. (Because he actually meets one on his journey) but scraped them because in a battle it’d be way to easy to just grab the end and yank. Then the next round I used Four, Wild and Sky as my guides I also used 1500s fashion in a lot of them because Four has a lot of mid-evil elements in his design. But most of those concepts were scrapped and I asked my mom if she looked at the concepts, what looks the most like a kid from a village rather and a noble.

The one I went with was of course the one we see now!

Which has the pants and tunic being inspired by Sky along with his mural.

And the shall he has being inspired by Zonai clothing and bits of Minish in the pattern. His gloves also are meant to be a reference to the light force with the triangles!

His boots (when I draw them) would have elements of Four and Sky’s boots. I have an idea what they’ll look like I just need to draw them.

“About that…”

I AM BACK AND I HAVE SKETCHES! I’ll post the stuff about Mens items and gimmick in a few days probably. I have to draw them out and I might take a bit, after that I will show his Zelda! (She’s really cool and I hope I can show her soon)

Also, Men forged the Picori blade like Sky did for the master sword. Let’s just say he wasn’t happy when he heard a certain wind mage broke it in the first five minutes of being near it.

Its been years since I posted on here last, well nows a good a time as any.

I kinda have been fascinated by the hero of men from Minish cap. Seeing as Fours one of my favorites, and how he references him in his design. Kinda implying Four looks up to him. So, I decided to make my own version of him based off Linked Universe. 

I have no idea if Jojo has plans for him to show up in their comic, but I love how he turned out and I will probably show him interacting with the chain at a later time.

Also because we know very little about him, I have had to make my own story for him. So a lot is me making stuff up.

Little base facts about him,

He would be the youngest in the chain, he’s even younger then Wind, and smaller then Four.

His Hyrule is a few hundred years after Raruru and Sonia’s reign, and he had to deal with the very first calamity and the people who used it for their own benefit.

He was around the same age as Four was during Minish cap, as in 9 or 10 he’s only the youngest because he only ever had one adventure.

He’s rather aloof, he tends to like staying out of big groups and hides with the more quieter members of the chain. Four as you could guess is his favorite, but Sky, Time and Twilight are okay. Though he feels like Twilight babies him sometimes and he stays faraway from ever touching the master sword. Time he likes being near but the more intimidating members of the chain hang around him more so he stays with the quiet ones in the back.

He hates being called a hero, it makes him really uncomfortable.

He’s very calm when he speaks usually, many adults call him mature for his age.

He’s deathly terrified of touching the master sword, even believing it might turn him to dust if he touches it.

He becomes very talkative around Minish as opposed to Hylians he loves talking to them, well, they talk and he listens with a smile.
