me, 17: the world is awful. life is meaningless. unending horrors and sorrows beyond my comprehension
me, 23 and now Catholic: the world is beautiful. life is full of love and meaning. infinite joys and wonders beyond my comprehension.

"Together, as shepherds and flock, we will feed on the Blessed Sacrament, adore him and carry him through the streets. In doing so, we will present him before the eyes, the consciences and the hearts of the people. To the hearts of those who believe, so that they may believe more firmly; to the hearts of those who do not believe, so that they may reflect on the hunger present within them and the bread that alone can satisfy it." – Papa Leone XIV [Corpus Christi Domini, 22.6.25] (© IPA)

There's many things to love about the book "Prince Caspian" but one scene I especially love is when Aslan tells Reepicheep that the day his people ate away at the cords that bound him on the Stone Table centuries ago, was the day that narnian mice began to speak

Introducing my two oldest OC's! 🪽
When I was a child, I designed Elamor as a pure white Arabian stallion; he essentially acted as my imaginary guardian angel, appearing in all my stories. A few years down the line came his other form. They're kind of the same being? Elamor is an angelic, infinite pegasus who is the heavenly mirror of Malan, an earthly stallion whose name means devil. He's not actually a demon, but you can interpret it however you want. The marking is called a 'bloody shoulder' and represents his anchorage to earth. Despite his name, I've never considered Malan to be evil, simply a separate part of his heavenly counterpart who lives in the unseen world.
Every time I look at these two I wonder how I didn't become a Christian sooner. 🫠 12-year-old me was dreaming about angels before she'd even read the bible.

Permafrost mummies! All these creatures represent a real animal found preserved in the permafrost. There's something so fragile and special about the earth and ice reuniting us with an animal our ancestors would have been so familiar with, that shit makes me cry.
