I will say it every year. I wear it proudly on me daily that I'm from and love New York so much. I was in 9th grade at the Flanagan Annex. I was petrified as one of my uncles worked in the towers and my other was an NYPD officer. It was a terrifying day. However, we survived. The resilience of NY (and our country) to band together was beautiful to see. I am proud to be from NY, I am proud my uncle was a first responder, I am proud of how everyone has overcome such a tragedy. Please remember the lives lost, not only in New York but in Virginia & Pennsylvania. Remember their loved ones & the fight they fight daily. Remember the survivors who have to live with that horror constantly. But remember, especially in the times we've seen lately, that we CAN love all. We can be a beautiful country who can come together and be there for one another. I will #NeverForget 🙏🏻

It is official, you have been there for more than half my life ;) I wish you nothing but the best.
