this bug was fixed in the 0.20.5 update !

("Potential fix for the Wind Paths bug that insisted on bending the fabric of spacetime. (To read more about this bug and why it took some time to fix, check out this post we shared earlier.")

i know it says potential but it was an effective fix, that specific bug no longer exists /nm /info

About to take pics of the Season of Flight for the queue (my favorite season and the first one I completed within its time!!!), but I will be doing so with caution. I've been sort of playing this game on and off for 2 years, but I do have things I would like to keep.

With that said,

Please do NOT leave the Wind Paths via the Home option!

This has been classified as an Arbritary Code Execution (ACE for short) bug, which causes strange results from unexpected strings of code that the game does not expect. We do not have word on whether or not it is fixed, but I am pretty sure that I don't want to find out.

Instead, leave the Wind Paths through the same exit you came out of, or, if you've completed Season of Flight, leave into another area!

i have an answer as to why it's called that (the answer does not satisfy me as someone who regularly rants about what an annoying name 'selective' is)

so, the selective part actually refers to the mutism, because the mutism happens in *select* circumstances. its not supposed to mean the mutism is a choice, but obviously that's exactly what it sounds like and exactly what people think. other people dismiss us as rude and obnoxious because they think we choose to be this way, which is at least partially because of the name.

i personally just call myself mute, partially because there are only 3 people i can speak to so functionally, in society, i am basically mute. another good one is situational mutism as others said, i also saw a reblog that said intermittent which i quite like.

i quite hope they decide to change the name to something else, anything. the fact they already changed it because of this exact problem and it ended up being to a word that means the exact same thing as the previous name (elective to selective)..like come on guys you can do better than that surely

i hate the term selective mutism. cause it sounds like im making conscious choice. like im selecting in a menu going today im gonna talk. today im only gonna talk to my family. in this situation ill be quiet. like its not a choice. i dont know when my voice just disappears. ill start telling a story and then ill start stuttering and then its gone. i think im going to say something and nothing comes out. talking can be exhausting and needing effort like jumping or screaming and doesnt come instinctively. sometimes my body needs time to prepare for so long that when in able to answer, im 2 conversation topics too late

i dont even know i just hate that word selective. id feel more comfortable with like.. partial, maybe or intermittent. honestly anything but selective
