Second-to-last FairyTaleTarot card, this is The World
As always, if you’re interested in a deck, sign up here to be notified about crowdfunding http://goo.gl/forms/Qax8RSARIaWVIygx2
The World is the conclusion to the cycle, the happily ever after of the journey, the victorious ending. But as it is the sought after culmination, it also heralds the beginning of a new story. Maybe you finally got your dream job, or married your sweetheart, the previous chapter ends, and a new one begins.
I chose the Maori Legend of Hinemoa. Hinemoa fell in love with a boy on an island across the lake, but as he was of a lower class, her family did not approve and tied up the canoes. So in the dead of night, she tied buoyant gourds to herself and swam across the lake. In the morning, their families found the couple already wed ;D and acquiesced. I drew them dancing on her gourds as the sun rises/sets? Surrounded by Kowhai flowers (Which has it’s own story about a couple getting together)
ONLY ONE CARD LEFT OF THE MAJORS!!!

Tarot Myths
Hey guys! I occasionally get asks asking me things about the tarot, and most of them revolve around myths, so I thought that I’d debunk some for the newbies out there, because I know that when I started learning tarot, I really stumbled on these and it freaked me out a little bit. Let me know if you know any others, or add them when you reblog.
Myth 1. You have to receive your tarot deck as a gift.
Nope. Quite honestly I don’t know any tarot readers who received their decks as a gift. Plus, you will probably have a better connection with your deck if you choose and purchase it yourself.
Myth 2. You have to wrap your tarot deck in black silk.
I mean, you could very well wrap them in black silk if you want to, but that doesn’t mean they won’t work if you don’t.
Myth 3. You shouldn’t let ANYONE touch your cards except for you.
I mean, this is personal preference really, but it has nothing to do with how well you can read the cards. I personally don’t care if anyone touches them (as long as their hands aren’t sticky or dirty).
Myth 4. Tarot cards were invented by the Romani people.
No, tarot cards have been around since 15th century Europe (although the exact origin is unknown).
Myth 5. You can’t read tarot for yourself.
Some people may have trouble giving an objective reading for themselves, but you can absolutely give it a shot.
Myth 6. The Death Card means someone will die.
This is probably my favorite myth (hah!). I remember watching an episode of Ghost Whisperer (one of my most favorite shows) and in it, a tarot reader gave a reading that had the death card in it, and then later in the show, someone died. I’m not going to say that it never means an actual physical death, I’m just saying it is quite rare.
Myth 7. All tarot card readers are witches or all witches are tarot readers.
Nope. I personally am a witch and a tarot reader, but I know plenty of people who are only one or the other.
Myth 8. You are doomed by what the cards say.
I believe that the future is completely fluid and ever changing. You would only be doomed (in a sense) if you didn’t heed any warnings from the cards, because tarot cards are here to give us insight and advice. For example, if the cards said you will have car trouble which will lead to something negative, like a car crash, you would probably get your car checked, and thereby changing your future.
Myth 9. You have to know every single card’s meaning before you read for anyone.
NO! Practicing is the absolute best way to learn the meanings, so please don’t let this hold you back.
Feel free to add your own or message me and I’ll add them. :)

The Two Choices Spread
1: The nature of the choice: The background of the situation and why you are making the choice.
2: The outcome of option one: What could happen if you go with one choice.
3: The outcome of option two: What could happen if you go with the other choice.
4: The third option that you’re not seeing: When we’re in the middle of making a hard decision, we can get tunnel vision and have trouble seeing all the options available to us. Try approaching the problem from an entirely new perspective. Once you see a third option, it’s easier to see a fourth, a fifth, and so on.

Deck Love is a blog for card deck appreciation - from a divination perspective. It is a place for artists and diviners to be inspired and maybe find a new deck of cards to drool over. From “deck of the day” posts to sharing crowdfunding projects, anything deck-related is welcome.
But also, Deck Love wants to make two directories: one for diviners on Tumblr, and one for stores that offer products or services other than divination. To be listed, simply read this. It only takes a couple of minutes.
Your own posts are more than welcome: do you want to share a comparison of a card in two decks? do you want to ask for opinions on a reading you’ve done? do you want to rant about the card that keeps stalking you? This is your place! All you need to do is mention @decklove in the posts you want me to reblog.
So please, follow and reblog if you post anything related (but not limited to) divination with cards. I will follow all similar blogs back!
