𑁯ᰍ Long-distance caregiver tipsꕀꕀ
𑁯ᰍ Set up a naptime during the day. They might protest and argue they're too big for a nap, but a happy baby is an energized one 𑁯ᰍ Remind them to drink water and eat snacks! Babies can be so busy playing that they forget to take care of themselves 𑁯ᰍ Before starting a game or movie, ask if they need to go potty, its not good for a little one to go to long without a potty break!
𑁯ᰍ Suggest calling on discord and listening to music! Find a regression playlist on youtube or spotify, and find a music bot that will play links. Listen to music as they begin to regress 𑁯ᰍ Play games with them that will keep them regressed. Each baby likes different games when regressed, find what they like and suggest they play it with you (if multiplayer) or play for you and show their progress (if single player

I hope you all like it. :33

Your regression is still valid even if . . .
❥ usually regress when upset or in a negative situation
❥ don’t know what age/animal you regress to exactly
❥ act mainly as a caregiver but also regress
❥ mainly a regressor but also a caregiver
❥ can’t control any/all aspects of your regression
❥ don’t regress for coping but more for fun (sfw)
❥ have done things you regret when regressed
❥ struggle understanding big feelings when regressed
❥ feel your regression is a burden
❥ scared to tell others about your regression
❥ struggles to tell the difference between you regressed and not
❥ scared to or don’t want a caregiver due to trauma
❥ doing things considered “big” or “adult” task when regressed
❥ struggle to fully regress
❥ don’t have / don’t want regression gear
❥ are an alter who’s unsure if your a regressor , age slider or sys kid
❥ your regression doesn’t look the stereotypical way
♡ Your regression is yours and as long as YOU are helped by it is all that matters, your valid. You deserve a happy , safe and comforting regression. ♡

Things people have casually done that have accidentally triggered my regression
🌸🧡🌸🧡🌸🧡🌸🧡🌸🧡🌸🧡🌸
Pushed plates, utensils, etc, closer to me when I'm making my food to make filling my plate easier
Reaching over to help hold my cup/pour my drink when I'm not paying attention
Opening things for me
Handing me napkins seconds before I notice my hands are dirty
Tucking me in underneath random blankets because I won't admit I'm cold
Giving me a pillow to lean on because I 'look tired'
Reaching behind them to hold my hand
Reaching behind them to make sure I'm holding onto them in some way, i.e., holding the bottom of their shirt
Pointing out silly toys to me
Surprising me with a quick play/joke of said silly toys
Get invested in conversation about/watch the 'new kids show that is for everyone' i mention
Subtly guiding me when I get distracted without breaking my excitement
Subtly or unconsciously playing with my hair/styling my hair

Having a Little With Executive Dysfunction Means...
“Executive dysfunction is a brain-based impairment that impacts a person’s ability to analyze, organize, decide, and execute things on time. It causes assignments to be lost, deadlines to be missed, and projects to overwhelm.” (Source)
Making sure to write down any tasks that you give them
Understanding that you can’t always give them hard deadlines for tasks and chores
Letting them know that it’s okay if they don’t get something done on time (or at all)
Understanding that they may switch between tasks throughout the day, working a little bit on each one instead of doing one after the other
Not getting angry with them when they take a long time to do a chore/task
Understanding that they can’t simply just get up and do something
Setting up rewards for when they finish a task (Candy, a movie, stickers, a new stuffie, etc)
Giving them a variety of tasks to do throughout the day (so they can switch between tasks and not be trying to do one thing all day)
Praising them and reminding them what a good job they did whenever they finish a task
Giving them small goals to reach that will eventually add up to a big goal (Doing smaller tasks that will eventually complete one bigger task)
Helping them with their organisation, setting up an organised system (Colour coding, numbering, etc)
Creating a daily schedule for them that doesn’t have strict, scheduled times
Understanding that they can’t always just force themself to do the thing! Executive dysfunction is a disorder, it’s not a quirk or laziness or a lack of self-discipline, it’s a disorder that your little can’t control. Help them with tasks if you can (and if they want you to) and be patient with them. They’re trying their best, it’s just a bit hard! Encourage them to see a professional who can help them cope with and manage their dysfunction!

Play ideas for chronically ill, disabled, or otherwise bed bound/low energy littles
Hi all! I am chronically ill. I am not comfortable sharing my specific diagnosis, but I am more than okay with talking about disability in general. Everything below is based on my own personal experiences and activities I like to do while stuck in bed. Everyone's body and experiences are different. I may list some things that just aren't an option for you, and that's okay. You are more than welcome to add on to this post with activities you do too!
Tumblr media
🐛 Open the curtains and cloud watch! I like to look for clouds that remind me of animals or characters and day dream a story about them. If the weather is nice, consider opening your window a little bit and letting some fresh air into your room.
🐦 Bird watch! I have a bird feeder outside my window that I painted myself from a kid's kit. There are also bird feeders that have suction cups that can be stuck right on your window. You can also make your own seed ornaments. You could pick yourself up a kids book or two on learning to identify birds.
🌷 Get a window planter. You may need someone's help to set one up, but once they are in place they are fairly easy to care for. I like pansies and marigolds because they remind me of childhood, and they are low maintenance and do well in containers.
📖 Audiobooks are great for middles who want to read chapter books. If you have a library card you can borrow tons of audiobook, ebooks, and comics through hoopla and Libby for free. There are some audiobooks for younger kiddo books, but honestly I think YouTube is better for that.
🖼️ Scrapbooks and journals! Being penpals with another little is also an option, but I do recommend using basic internet safety and common sense. (I don't think you should do this if you are under 18). You could always scan/take pictures of your letter and send it digitally to your penpal instead.
🛏️ If you spend a lot of time in bed, and have the money to do so, I really recommend getting items to make your time in bed more comfortable. Extra pillows, or even a reading pillow can be helpful. Lap desks or bed tables can give you space to color or set up play scenes with small toys.
🌟 You can also decorate the area around your bed to make it more child like! Fairy lights, glow in the dark stars, bed canopies, posters, and the like.
🪑 I have a floor chair I use for times I am playing outside of my bed. Being close to the floor helps me feel small, but not having back support hurts after a short while. I have an adjustable one that I can lay flat on the floor as a sleeping mat. Very helpful for the times when I need a quick nap after playtime.
🎨 Check the seasonal and kids sections at dollar stores and Five Below. I usually find fun craft kits that can keep me occupied for a bit for really cheap.
🧶 Do your own crafts! I like the knit and crochet. Some people can do them in bed, but I find it difficult to find a comfortable way to do that. However making friendship bracelets in bed works out pretty well. They make great gifts, even for non little friends. Or you could make matching ones for you and your CG or favorite plushie!
🪀 Make your own sensory bin! You can find tons of tutorials and ideas online. Bonus is you can get most of the items you would use at the dollar store. There are tons of other DIY sensory toys you can make as well if you look around. Glitter/shaker bottles are pretty popular too.
🐇 Cuddle with your stuffed animals. Tell them stories. Play pretend. Read to them. They will appreciate all of it.
🎮 If you have an old 3DS stuffed away in a drawer somewhere, pull it back out. 3DS are fairly easy to install homebrew and there are toooons of kiddo friendly games you could get (check 3ds.hacks.guide for this, do not follow tutorials on YouTube or random websites as they very well could be outdated)
💊 Decorate your medicine organizers with stickers. If you use mobility aids you can decorate them as well! Fake flowers are great for decorating mobility aids and there are tons of ideas you can find online.
🍼 I have stomach problems that makes it hard for me to eat enough. I often drink Ensure to make sure I am getting enough calories/nutrients. I get the strawberry flavor and sometimes put it in my sippy cup and pretend it is strawberry milk 😋
😴 If you need rest, rest! You deserve to get as much sleep as your body needs. Babies and toddlers take naps all the time! Trying to just exist with chronic health issues is difficult enough. You don't need to push yourself.

❤️‍🩹🧸ways to cope when age regression isn’t an option🧸❤️‍🩹
regression can be a great coping method and can be very healing to your inner child, but sometimes it just isn’t working. whether that’s because you physically can’t regress for a while, you don’t have the time or space for it, it’s activating a particular trigger, or any other reason — it’s important to remember that you always have other options!
it can be easy to feel lost if agere is your main coping skill and it’s suddenly not available or not helpful anymore, so under the cut i’ve compiled some simple de-stressing strategies to try out instead! :]
have a meal or snack and drink some water! physical needs are important :]
speaking of, use the bathroom and take a shower or bath if you need one. sometimes we don’t even notice it’s been awhile!
move your body, however you’re able to! some examples are going for a walk, dancing around to music, stretching or yoga, getting the mail from the mailbox
have a chat with a friend or family member. human interaction is good for us, even if it’s only for a few minutes!
if you’re okay with touch, go hug someone you love (human or animal hehe)
help someone else in a simple way; maybe do a chore for them, send them a little card or gift, or listen to them talk about their day for a bit. sometimes it can be a good distraction while also feeling nice to help!
do something creative! crochet, paint (even finger painting counts!), play an instrument, build something, redecorate your room, put on colorful makeup, etc
do some deep breathing exercises, and/or try a few grounding techniques
clean up a bit! i know it can be overwhelming, but even picking up just a few items or cleaning just one area can help you feel lots better.
journaling can be a good way to sort out what you’re feeling! you can just write whatever you feel like talking about, or you can look up prompts online to get you started
weighted blankets or heavier stuffed animals (or even pets!) can help with anxiety and sensory issues
pay attention to any negative sensory input and do what you can to fix it: is the room too bright or too loud? is your clothing itchy? do you need some time alone?
find some pleasant sensory input: use a scented lotion or candle you like, wrap yourself in a soft blanket, listen to your favorite music album, turn down the lights in your room, watch a sensory video you enjoy
do something to stretch your brain! work on a puzzle, read a book, or start learning a new skill you’re interested in
try something new! getting out of our comfort zone can help us to feel more alive and excited about life. bring along a loved one or a comfort item to give you courage!
do you like to pray or meditate? if you do, make some time for it and try to let yourself really relax into it!
make plans; it’s important to have things to look forward to, even if it’s just a trip to a cafe you like or a video chat with a friend
surround yourself with comforting objects (for instance, your favorite blanket and stuffed animal, a photo book of fun memories, etc!)
age dreaming can often be a fun coping method even if regression isn’t an option. try doing some of the things you’d normally want to do while small, without pressuring yourself to actually regress!
finally, ask for help! it’s always okay to reach out for help. you are not alone, and you don’t have to figure everything out by yourself!
okay, that’s all for now! please keep in mind that i’m not a mental health expert and this is by no means a complete list, but sometimes i need reminders of what else to try when regression isn’t working and so i hope it’s helpful to others in that way too! it’s totally okay if some of these things don’t work for you — take whatever’s useful and leave the rest.
don’t forget that you can always send me an ask or message if you need someone to talk to, little ones. sending you all hugs! 🫂❤️
