One thing I didn’t expect from working on comic pages is how it reminded me again how drawing with lineart is very fun. I've been playing Elden Ring lately, and Pip Torrens' line delivery is impeccable. And is largely what inspired me to try this drawing with his character. :)

It was probably inevitable he would become my favorite from this game the moment he calls you his "lambkin," intoning like he's both endeared to and about to murder you slowly, haha.

Also am I reaching or does his line delivery sort of sound like Trahearne/Matthew Brenher if he had become corrupted and malicious

“I must say… You are awfully calm tonight. Have you mastered your bloodlust at last?” he pondered out loud.

The shoulders beneath the hair jerked in a scoff, making Varré’s hands rise momentarily, before he simply continued. “ I wouldn’t count on it around others,” finally came with a husky tone. Varré gave a slight ‘oh?’, urging the man to elaborate, but he hardly did.

two-year difference for my messy varré fanart, decided to revisit it to get used to procreate again. i think i’ve improved?? idk. (and i gave up halfway, lol)

i’m more of a traditional sketch girly, but i would like to get better with colors :)
