i genuinely consider every new picture that drops from that fuckass movie psychological terrorism. what do you mean geto carried around a bear keychain and a tamagotchi? what do you mean gojo played the guitar? what do you mean nanami and haibara were also very much part of the trio? what do you mean they slept on the floor like a pile of kittens? they played pranks on their teachers, they had slumber parties, they invited each other to their families' homes. the soft looks and genuine big smiles and tender touches. they were all best friends! they were all just kids! god. they were just. kids. i'm sick to my stomach.

Aventurine using his beauty and body to make deals but hes really just disassociating the whole time. He thinks if he gets the deal done than it doesn't matter if he got used.

He's used to people fawning over him, so it's easy to just do it.

But when Ratio came along, he noticed something off abt him. Ratio wasn't attracted to Aventurine’s body like others were, he bearly showed any interest in him at all. Aventurine started to feel a little better being around him because of that, he finally had someone, even if they didn't like him as a person, he had someone he could be around that didn't see him like that.

He thought Ratio didn't have any interest in him, but he kept showing up to help him. If he got cut up and bruised from a mission, ratio would be there to clean him up. If he needed a warm place to stay, ratio always had a spare room for him.

The truth is, Ratio is interested in Aventurine, but not in the usual way. He wants to be there for him, he wants to hold him close, he wants to love him, but he doesn't want to make Aventurine uncomfortable.

So penacony happens, and Ratio writes the doctors advice as a beg for him to come back safely, or just alive. He stressed every day and night that Aventurine was in the nihility. He constantly paced back and forth in avens room, hoping to be there for when he wakes up. Ratio is running off of 2 hours of sleep, his eyes close slowly, only to shoot awake when he hears a small, raspy "Ratio..?"

Aventurine had never been hugged so tightly as he was in that moment.

After penacony, they became closer, both aware of their feelings but not wanting to act on them. Until Aventurine stays over at ratios one night and he sleeps in Ratio's bed. They share their first kiss there, and Aventurine snuggles deep into Ratio's arms and is just "I feel safe with you."
