I put it to you that the problem is not the big 4.... its the clients who strongly recommend that you side with them or lose the contracts forever. Big business is a small pool. Its better and more affordable to take a fine than to lose a client except in the most extreme cases because they all get drunk together and travel to confrences together and, and, and... and I can assure you every big business is messing up royally in one area or another. So they bully the auditors and consultants to guide them so the results come out in a very specific way...

I hate that this is common knowledge, but people will still put entire organisations through hovwrnance training. But I guess optics are important for the market... so enjoy your governance training and ethics talks boys and girls...
