How's its been going so far 🥰

it's been wild. both me and j have been put in kiddy jail to stop us from getting lost (I have no sense of direction and have walked with full confidence in the wrong direction at least 5 times since landing) or adopted by locals (we get little old lady's who love to talk with us).

by kiddy jail I mean kiddy leashes 🫠

we've made it back to our hotel and will probably look for something to eat soon. I also did find a monster so life's good.

I'll phone home in a bit to make sure my younger siblings haven't killed the eldest

I do feel absolutely awful that I need people to speak to me in English so I can understand what it is that they are saying.

I don't want to be a piece of shit tourist who makes no attempt to speak the language and expects everyone to accommodate them

I always try to learn a bit of whatever language that is spoken in the countries that I visit. I'm going to learn to say "hello, I'm very sorry I don't speak Spanish! is there anyway we can talk in English?" maybe I should learn to introduce myself as well

since it's far more likely we run into an English speaker than a Korean, mandarin or Japanese.
