Jackie crawled to the antique sofa and high-backed chairs arranged in a semi-circle in front of the room’s impressive fireplace. The director was seated in one of the chairs facing the sofa and chatting amiably with a couple Jackie had never seen before. The man was dressed in a dark grey suit and appeared to be in in fifties. He was holding a cup and saucer. Jackie smelled the rich aroma of coffee and realized she’d not experienced the taste since she’d been brought to Rehab House. She watched him pour a small pool of it into the saucer and hold it out to the woman kneeling on the floor beside him. Her tongue darted out as she licked the dark liquid from the fine china piece. Unlike Jackie, the kneeling woman was dressed but other than that her mannerisms were like that of any other female in the House.

“C926, come and join us. I have guests who want to make use of your services. Present-self kneel, girl.”  The Director’s tone was pleasant but his orders, as always, held the expectation of immediate obedience and the girl complied coming to halt beside her leader’s chair. He directed his next comments to the attentive couple. “Joshua…Helene… I’d like to present C926. She has only been with us for less than a year but is making great strides in her efforts to become a better female. As you can see from her markings, she is not entirely transformed as of yet, but I have complete faith in her commitment to complete the process admirably. I also believe she possesses the talent you are seeking for your artistic endeavor.” 

Joshua smiled but he did not look totally convinced by the director’s words. “You know I value your opinion greatly, Anthony, and you have always delivered whatever I’ve needed in the past, but are you sure about this girl? It’s not as if she’s just going to be a fuck-and-suck toy for one of my parties this time.” He hesitated and looked down at Helene, whose eyes were on his but whose expression of submission had not altered. “My apologies, darling. I should not use such crude language in front of you.” He looked back to the director and continued. “I’m sure Anthony understands how much I treasure you as my wife and wish to shelter you from some of the more vulgar aspects of men.”
