13th of december

TODAY WAS EPCOT now THIS was the BEST DAY EVERRRRR it was so fun if you couldn’t tell.

i just had butter on toast and tea for breakfast today the free breakfast is kind of mediocre but hey you get what you pay for!

we woke up a bit later than usual today because we knew epcot has way less people in it than magic kingdom

we headed to epcot and it was the same parking process as magic kingdom but it was much faster and we didn’t have to go on a monorail it was so close

we walked in and saw the massive ball so of course i put my minnie ears on and we took so many photos. we were getting better at fast passes so we booked the ride inside the ball for 3pm or some time similar and started walking around and found some random place with memory games and econimical games it was kinda strange. we played for about 20 minutes then left

also while walking around there was a finding nemo ride and dad said that he saw reviews saying it was good and there was only a 10 minute wait. turns out it was a 30 minute wait and the line was designed so you couldn’t really walk out so we just waited. the ride was mediocre but it was cool that the shells you sat on were constantly moving from getting on the ride,, during and getting off

we looked at the fast passes again and saw a ride called soarin’ which i’ve heard good things about so we booked it for 6:50 in case we were still in the park

then we headed to the world showcase! i think there were about 10 different countries in a massive circle so we walked around them all. we got cookies in canada, pasta in italy, sausages and pretzels in germany and sweets in norway. also in norway there was the popular frozen ride i tried to get fast passes for but it was a 55 minute wait so we didn’t go on it. also in mexico, there was this temple thing so we went inside. we were expecting just a food place but it was a whole mexican pavilion with bars and a restaurant over a river and lights and even a ride with a 10 minute wait ! so we went on and it was really amazing. we rode on the river that the people sitting in the restaurant could see. a really underrated hidden ride!

by the time we finished walking around the world we could use our fast pass for the ride in the massive ball. the line was pretty fast which was good considering the fast passes were free!! the ride was basically going through history of the world and it was pretty fun. we were going uphill the whole time and we had no seatbelts so i was kinda scared to get down but they turned the whole cart around so we went slowly down backwards while creating our future on the screen in front of us. they took a photo of us at the start of the ride and plastered it on the screen of our future worlds which was pretty funny

we now had to wait till 7pm for the soarin ride but the wait time was only 20 minutes so we decided to go on so we could leave the park earlier. this. ride. was. incredible. !!!!! you basically floated in the air with your feet hanging and you soared around different parts of the world. it felt like you were really there. we were so glad we had fast passes we decided to stay for them to go on the ride again

after soarin we went on a boat ride that showed all the plants of epcot and where they grow their food and how they help the planet which was pretty cool but a lot more boring since we just went on such an incredible ride

since we were waiting for the fast passes we had heaps of time so we went to this place called club cool which is where you can try different soft drinks from around the world! while dad and i were doing that barbra and mum were watching a live performance. there was a drunk from italy that was really bad and they even had a kiwi flavoured drink from south africa which was pretty good. my favourite drink was from japan even though it wasn’t a soft drink.

more time went by and i went into the disney shop and spent tooooo much money on a basic jumper but i probably won’t come back for over 5 years so i just got it

we had an hour left before the fast pass so decided to wait for a really popular ride that was a 40 minute wait called test track where you go in a really fast car and design one too to test it out. it was sponsored by chevrolet so the logo was everywhere! it was a really fun ride but i should have tied my hair up

finally it was time for the soarin ride and the line was super fast. we were also smack bang in the middle which was incredible and the perfect viewing angle. since i’ve been on the ride before i knew what it was like so i brought my phone with me to film some of it as it was too good of a ride not to

after that it was super dark so we all went home and had sushi. i only had 1 piece cause i didn’t really feel like it and just wanted to sleep so i went to bed for a more basic day. you can’t really beat epcot it truly is the best place ever

12th of december

TODAY WAS ONE OF THE BEST DAYS EVERRRRR !!!!! WE WENT TO DISNEYWORLD,, specifically, magic kingdom, the place with the castle and all the disney characters so i was very excited for this day

we woke up super early and had breakfast as soon as it was open (7am) and i decided to treat myself by having waffles! you had to make the waffles yourself by pouring the batter in a waffle maker and turning it and everything. the worst part was waiting but it’s alright. the waffle wasn’t the best so i probably won’t have it again.

when breakfast was done we went to the apartment and got our last minute bits like water and my fanny pack! it was from work and was the best thing i ever got. anyways we got in the car and headed to disney!!

disney is so big i swear they had their own highway to get to each section of the park. we got to the front gate and i gasped so loud i couldn’t believe we were actually at disney!!

everything was so efficient we got directed where to park and every car park area was sorted into 2 group heroes or villans than that was split into 6 groups and we had simba! seconds later a tram came to pick us up to get to the monorail then the monorail took us outside magic kingdom !!!!!

when you walk in there’s a massive christmas tree and a huge road leading to the castle!! but before we did that we had to stop and buy mickey ears to take pictures with! i got the classic sparkly one and we headed to the castle. i wanted to re-create the profile picture on this blog and i think it turned out pretty good, so good i think i’ll replace the profile picture with my own!

we then rushed to space mountain as we could not get a fast pass on the app but when we got to outside the ride there was only a 20 minute wait so we went inside. halfway through the line i checked the disney app again and the wait time was 50 minutes and i was so happy as we were almost at the ride and didn’t have to wait that long

the ride was so fun it was exactly like scooby doo spooky coaster, darkness, fast, dips and quick turns. barbra and i found it so fun but i think mum and dad almost broke their backs!

anyways after the ride we dangerously decided to walk in the merchandise shop. dad knew it was going to be long so he sat down and waited. this was the time to get souvenirs for my work friends so i got my manager a mug and another one a lanyard, and my other co-workers disney keychains, i also grabbed myself a keychain and a lanyard for the cruise

after all that we went to get food and we tried to find something healthy and ended up walking in a starbucks because they have sandwiches. everyone got a coffee except me (because, ew) and we had our lunch. mum and i shared a turkey sandwich and it was pretty alright.

we didn’t go on any other rides but there was a performance at the castle which was pretty cool. I SAW RAPUNZEL!! MY FAVOURITE PRINCESS EVER!! and they played one of the songs from the movie and fireworks out which was amazing because we didn’t see the fireworks show at night time as we didn’t stay that long.

also to note, they had a whole setup of the village in rapunzel which i took many photos of, and after 10 minutes i realised they were actually toilets! prettiest toilets i’ve ever seen good job disney.

we did more walking and we decided to have a snack. ive ALWAYS wanted to try this classic disney snack called a dole whip which is basically pineapple sorbet. this youtube i watch who is obsessed with disney absolutely loves it so i had to try. it was so yummy!! i liked it better with the vanilla ice cream because it balanced out the pineapple as i am not a huge fan of pineapple

also we were walking up this random place and it turns out the parade was on so we missed most of it. i kind of got blamed for that because i was planning the theme parks but i didn’t know what time the parade was on!

also before we left we went to the lolly shop and i got a minnie mouse christmas chocolate apple and some fairy floss which i ate after dinner and it was pretty yummy

we then left and i was sad to leave but kinda happy cause i could rest my feet in the car we did so much walking!!

anyways we got back to the hotel and relaxed for a bit before going to the top floor as our hotel offers free drinks and food such as pizza and chips (also they hand fried cheese which was kind of strange but american so) after that the lady at the bar gave barbra and i a hot chocolate which was nice because it was windy and we headed for bed early because we were going to epcot tomorrow !! this was the best day ever

11th of december

i don’t know why yesterday made us so tired but it did cause we woke up at 10am and missed free breakfast oops! before dad almost cried realising we would have to pay for breakfast, he asked one of the cleaners if it’s possible to get anymore breakfast and she brought up some toast and butter n little things like jam and muffins which calmed dad down

we then started our day by going to the greatest place in the world,, AT&T!!! just kidding, it was boring and a waste of time because dad tried to get a phone plan that would work with his old phone but no plan supported his phone which was pretty funny

after AT&T there was a plaza in walking distance so of course we drive over to park. barbra and i saw ulta and our jaws dropped. we ran in there like usain bolt and shopped for about an hour. there was kylie jenner’s makeup, kim kardashian’s fragrance, tarte shape tape, morphe and diva girl !!! i was in heaven. i had to control myself but i still ended up spending over $100 usd on diva curl products and shape tape. i still want to buy more tho i’m not coming back!!!

after ulta we went to a place called ‘which wich’ which was a sandwich shop. basically you got a piece of paper and ticked off the ingredients you wanted in your sandwich so it kind of brought me back to the tuck shop days writing your order on the paper bag. it tasted pretty good

after we had lunch we decided to go to

the outlet stores (which was probably a bad idea cause i spent so much!!) we were there for so long it turned dark by the time we got in the car on the way home. i got a big puffy purple jacket for new york, some gloves, and stuff from forever 21 which was crazy because everything in that store was half price and the clothes were already cheap. i ended up getting some gingerbread man tracksuit pants, a jumper with queen written all over it, and a cute white blue and red top. oh also we went to nike and dad and i happened to be standing in front of the little boys section and i saw jumpers for only $25 and wondered if they could fit me. i got an extra large and it fit so i grabbed one of them. best purchase ever

during this shopping experience dad figured out that he was putting the sim cards in the wrong slot in his phone so we rushed back to AT&T to get the plan that now worked 10 minutes before the store shut. dad was now happy and it was 8pm. we all realised now that we actually need to eat dinner and headed to the closest place which happened to be chick fil a. at first i thought it was wierd because they call their burgers sandwiches when they look exactly like burgers but they actually tasted amazing and was super cheap too. i would have it again.

after that we headed home and crashed because we were going to disney tomorrow !!! (mum booked tickets that night for disney as well as 2 musicals)

10th of december

the first official day of orlando! we all had a pretty good sleep considering how much flying we did and change of time zones. with the hotel, we get free breakfast so we headed to the second floor for brekkie. 

we got there and there wasn’t much selection other than carbs and sugar. there were bagels, waffles, toast, donuts, sugary orange juice and apple juice. but at least there was still cereal, tea and 2 pieces of fruit

when breakfast was done we headed to walmart!! i have been meaning to go to walmart for so long and i felt like such a loser getting excited about a supermarket with bagged cereal

we walked in and i was so excited. we walked through the food section and there were so many cakes i might even snatch one for my birthday. this store was so big barbra and i split with mum and dad and we had an hour to walk around and do what we want. this place is so big

we moved around the clothing isle and laughed at the ugly christmas jumpers and were also wierd out by the fact the dressing rooms were just stand alones in the middle of walmart

went to all the food and there were literal bags of cereal which was strange and i freaked out when i saw lucky charms mum even took a photo of me holding it. and also ben and jerry’s was only $5 i almost bought 20 of them

it was crazy in walmart it was like woolies/kmart/target/spotlight/super cheap auto/mr toys toyworld/bunnings all smashed into one

we all got phone plans at walmart too because they were cheap and thank goodness we did because i feel like i would have gotten lost in walmart

after walmart we headed out to the florida mall!!!! ive been researching all the malls around orlando and it was so cool seeing the actual mall in real life. by the time we got there it was lunch time so we all had hot dogs at this random place in the food court or as they like to say ‘food pavilion’ mum and dad didn’t like their hot dogs but barbra and i did

when walking around barb and i were gasping at all the stores we’ve seen before like victoria secret, pink, bath and body works, forever 21. i bought the cutest ever shorts from victoria secret then the lady was like ‘you know it’s buy one get one free’ so i got a free t-shirt ! i also went to nyx and got a specific lip pencil that this youtube amber scholl has been recommending for years and they don’t have it in australia and it’s only $4 so that made me very excited 

there was also a cotton on so of course i walked in as there are only like 5 in florida and i could actually still use my staff discount so i bought a denim jacket and they freaked out when i showed my drivers license for id because they said it looked like a credit card with a chip and everything

also we had a break and got pretzels and at the pretzel place there were slushies so i asked if they were slushies and the lady said that they were and asked if i wanted a sample. of course i said yes and the sample was THE SIZE OF A MEDIUM DRINK. idk why she gave me a sample that big but it made me happy 

one last thing there was a carlos bakery at the shipping centre !!! i almosy has a heart attack realising that i will finally get to try one of buddy’s cannolis that i’ve seen on my tv for years. we also bought a strawberry shortcake which tasted amazing and i got an apron because they were selling cake boss merchandise

while looking around each store dads sim card wasn’t working (what a surprise) because he has the oldest phone in the entire world so he was stressing out about that while i was smelling 30 different scents at bath and body works

we all eventually had to go back to walmart to return the plan but realised we went to a different walmart and had to return the plan at the exact same walmart so off we went again to go return it and they happily did

it was now super late at night and we needed dinner so we decided to go to whole foods. this was the best decision ever. we walked in and it looked like a normal woolies and there were actually vegetables. it was so healthy in there, there was no junk food at all even if you tried looking for it. they had a little buffet thing where you pay by the weight and we grabbed pasta, soups, tofu, veggies and pizza and it all tasted amazing. everything was also eco friendly with paper bags and containers as well as recycleable cutlery you could use. it was so pleasant to be in there i just want to live there

when we got home we just crashed after everything that happened

9th of demeter part 2 (because when i woke up it was the start of december 9 american time)

i woke up on the plane with only 2 hours of rest and we had breakfast. i had granola and milk which was pretty gross. my back was killing me i was dying to stand up. 

we got off the plane and were in america! but it didn’t feel like it because we were in customs for so long. after that process we walked about the airport and i almost had a heart attack when i saw a wendy’s. it truly then felt like i was in america. we then hopped on the last leg from houston to orlando and i was so excited to sleep. we had some tea and pretzels on the plane which was nice and we had to have cream with our tea which was strange 

we arrived at orlando and got our hire car and was so excited to hang out in the cold for a month. the roads were a bit wierd cause everything was on the right and the steering wheel was on the left. literally everywhere we drove i would point and say ‘chuck e cheese!’ or ‘macy’s!’ to the point i got yelled at cause dad couldn’t hear the directions. 

we got to the hotel and it was SO FANCY the lobby looks incredible and our room is quite nice too (especially the bathroom). we quickly put our luggage away and went to go find food because we were starving

we walked along international drive and saw some random pizza and sushi places then saw applebee’s and decided to go there because we new it was legitamate and a good start to the trip. 

we got inside and got served by a really friendly waiter who gave us menus. we all ordered burgers and drinks and when our drinks came they were humongous so we were scared to see how big the burgers were. when they did come they were actually average size and were all hungry enough to eat everything off our plates. we also had to tip the waiter which was a bit strange but i’m sure i’ll get used to it 

then we all went home and slept because the jetlag was hitting us

9th of december

right now i’m on the plane from new zealand to houston and it’s basically night time so i thought i would document today for what it is until now

so i woke up at 6:30 to get to yiayia’s place at 8:00. i grabbed my last couple of things for my suitcase and headed off! yiayia gifted us some american money which was sweet and we got to the brisbane international airport

customs were super easy and we got ready for our first flight on air new zealand. i didn’t know what to expect but i was so happy with everything. the plane we went on was so modern it had usb chargers and plugs at every chair !!! what. i couldn’t believe it. also during december they give their customers free wifi ??? i was living and very grateful for that. 

i thought i was going to be a bit bored but the whole time i was looking at all the settings on the screen in front and seeing what movies and such they had available. they had ariana in the music section so of course i listened to that. and also most of the time i was eating too. they gave us greek lamb and rice with other stuff (pretty sure i took a photo) something i found strange was they they put sultanas in the rice so the picky person that i am i took every single saltana out. 

we then landed in new zealand which was pretty cool as i’m the only one in our family that hasn’t been to new zealand yet !!! we had a 2 hour stopover but with customs and everything we only had about 30 minutes to relax before our next big flight, auckland to houston !! in the departure lounge we met a guy from houston and he found our slang wierd which was pretty funny. also i looked in my bag and realised I FORGOT TO PUT MY JUMPER IN MY BAG so yeah i’m gonna freeze when i arrive in houston no big deal. i’m also excited to go to houston because i have a group chat with my friends called ‘houston we have a problem’ and i will actually be in houston

so i’m on the flight now and we had dinner,, i chose the beef pasta. literally all the food from air new zealand has been incredible. there was even mandarin ice cream !

there’s about 10 hours until we land so i think i’ll post this with as many pictures as i have and try and sleep for a little bit as all the lights are basically off in the plane so,, goodnight !!

We landed in the Germany airport and we had to rush to our terminal. Thankfully Germany has a sign of where to go every 10 metres which helped a lot.

While walking to the terminal I got a pretzel because duh Germany and a keychain of course.

I'll stop here I'm not sure if this was a day because time is confusing so that's all I'm typing.

Today was very sad because it is the last day in Greece for the vacation :(

So we woke up really late but mum and Barbra woke up earlier because mum hadn't gone to the church yet (the one with the geocache). Apparently they looked again to see if anyone had replaced the item but no records. (I took a zoom in picture of the church for you all to see yay). They also went to the bakery and brought us all breakfast. While they were doing all of that I was packing.

We had to leave the hotel at 12 but we weren't leaving for the airport until 1:30. To use up time we had a brunch type thing with auntie Dianne and uncle Emmanuel at the cafe under us for the last time. I got some pasta.

While eating there WAS A BEE FLYING AROUND THE TABLE TRYING TO EAT AND DRINK EVERYTHING. So I'm in the back silently screaming and uncle Emmanuel saves the day and whacks it in one shot and it thankfully dies. I was scared that an army of bees were going to attack us later but that was just me being paranoid again.

It was time to leave and it was an hour drive to the airport.

The airport is so tiny! It's only got 2 terminals but it's Kythera we're talking about. While in the airport dad made me wait in a long line to get water and just as I was about to pay for it our flight got called. That means we have to go through customs which means no water bottles. Oh well what can you do.

Just as we boarded Barbra realised she left her travel pillow at the terminal and I thought that was pretty funny.

The plane ride went for 4 hours but time flew by (no pun intended but I love it) because Barbra and I watched Clueless.

It was the first ever plane I went on that was powered with propellers and not an engine. I was really scared I thought we were going to crash or something because that's an old method.

We also got lunch during the flight and it was MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE GREEK DINNER IN THE WORLD. PASTISIO. (Don't worry Yiayia after all these weeks yours is still the best).

We landed in Athens. This is just an overnight pit stop so nothing special. While leaving the airport I SAW A GIRL IN A LOVE YOURSELF FIRST JUMPER. I almost said something to her but now I regret not saying anything.

It was a free ride to the hotel and when we got there OML IT WAS SO MODERN AND FANCY. It was like 2 rooms but a door in the middle to make it one big room. There was aircon and a nice tv so I enjoyed it.

We had dinner at this place on the port and dad said it was one of the best octopuses he's ever had. I just had bread and salad but it was still nice.

We then headed home and just slept early to get prepared for the long flight tomorrow.

Today was fun Since the party ended so late last night, we slept in really late. We wanted to go exploring for our lat time before we headed off to Athens the next day We had breakfast at this new cafe and I got 3 pieces of small toast WHICH WAS 4 EUROS. It was yum and all but not worth 4 euros. We then headed to a famous castle in Hora and it was very old. We took a lot of pictures and the view from the top of the castle was AMAZING. We could see our little hotel from the view if I zoomed my camera in. We then explored the shops for a bit and got a keychain souvenir which I was very surprised they had one. Kythera is so tiny. We then got some ice cream from Vanilla which was delicious. After that we just sat in the hotel. I watched doctor who and mum and dad got crepes. They brought one for Barbra and I to share and of course it was amazing. Mum, Dad, and I went to the beach but we didn't stay there for too long. There were too many wasps and bees. THERE WAS AN ASH TRAY FILLED WITH BEES I WAS TERRIFIED. It was then dinner time and we drove out for a while and went to the same restaurant that catered for uncle Peter's party. Dad really liked the meat there so that's why we went. IT WAS SO FILLING. I thought we didn't order enough but plates kept coming and coming and then I realised that we ordered way too much. That's Greeks for you. And that was basically our day.

Today was pretty fun. First of all we had breakfast at the cafe underneath us. I got paximathia and tea. I haven't mentioned this yet but THERE ARE SO MANY BEES AND WASPS HERE IM TERRIFIED. So about 6 bees came along in the past 10 minutes so I ate a little bit of my breakfast and ran to the hotel. There is a staircase to the hotel with a LARGE TREE FILLED WITH BEES. I eventually got up the staircase but there were more problems. I COULDNT UNLOCK THE DOOR. I was standing there trying to unlock it for 10 minutes so I had to sit and wait for the others to finish breakfast. Mum came up and unlocked it in 5 seconds. sSnce there was a beach right in front of our hotel, we went to the beach after breakfast. THE WATER IS SO CLEAR. The water was cold at first but I quickly got used to it. We saw the Kazoulis's and hung out with them at the beach. After a bit we went on these paddleboats that you could hire and drive to another beach area. There was no one at the other beach so we had it all to ourselves for 20 minutes and took pictures before going back. I paddled the boat with mum on the way back and OH MY GOD IT IS SO TIRING but I did it so I'm proud of myself. There's also this thing called geocaching and it's an app where there are millions of gps tracked packages and the only rule is if you take something out of the package, you have to put something in at same or greater value. We found one at the top of a church. There was a business card, a shell and a hotel wipe. We took the shell and put a broken waterproof phone case in. We then chilled at the hotel and got ready for the party. The party started at 9 and we saw all the family. There were 150 people there and most of them were Aussie. I met A LOT of relatives there it was crazy. There was a lot of food and it was all delicious. After uncle Peter did his big speech to thank everyone there was Greek dancing. It was all good at first but I was sitting right next to the speaker and my ears started to hurt. The party ended at 2am but we left at 12 to drop a relative off home. And that was my day.

Today was quite crazy. So today was the day we leave Crete. It was going to be all easy and we were going to drive to the bus stop and get the boat but NO. Dad parked the car in THE MIDDLE OF A MARKET IN A SMALL STREET. I wasn't there but he said he was locked in the market. It took him about 1/2 hour to get out of the market ready to go to the bus station. Before we could get on the bus we had to wait for the car rental guys to come to drop off our car. They told us to meet at the bus station at 10am (and we were there in time) AND THEY DIDN'T COME TILL 10:45. That first photo is where I was sitting for that 45 mins in the heat. Luckily the bus left at 11 so we made it. The boat was MASSIVE. We were on there for 4 hours but it felt like only one hour. I watched a bit of Kardashians with Barb, coloured in, ate more donuts, and listened to music. Time flew by fast. We then arrived in Kythera! (There are so many different ways to spell this please don't kill me). Auntie Dianne and Uncle Emmanuel came to the boat port and met us there. Barbra and I went in their car and mum and dad drove in the rental car behind us. I tried to get a photo. We then had to quickly get ready to go to Helen's house because all the family from Brisbane were meeting up in their holiday home. We got there in time and saw all the family which was nice. It felt like I was in Brisbane again. Everyone hung out and chatted but then things got a little crazy. Christian (2 years old) was standing on this table and dancing like wild and if anyone else got on the table he would try to push them off it was hilarious. There was also a bong there? I don't know how it got there. It was then really late at night so we all left and went to bed ready for the party tomorrow.

I'm terrible with blogs I'm writing this 3 days later. Anyways to start off the day we had breakfast at a place that is always around called illy. The stuff there was pretty delicious and of course I got more crepes. Barbra and mum then went shopping so I went home with dad but before we went home I wanted to buy a keychain. For a good 20 minutes we were walking around trying to find a keychain I liked and I eventually found it. We then sat at home and chilled till it was dinner time. While we were walking around to find a place we saw a horse and carriage ride. I was very scared myself but mum and Barb insisted to go on it so I had to. The horse moved through the busy street so the guy had to ring this loud bell to make people move which I thought was embarrassing. After a while I started to like it and we took lots of pictures. We were also allowed to feed the horse a carrot. It kept thinking that I had more so I had to keep showing him my hands to prove it. It was quite funny. Dinner was pretty good I got pastisio again (still not as good as yours Yiayia). EVERYTHING IS SO FILLING. Also at dinner there was a bird that was adorable and had a family up in a window. It came down to this one guys table and was feeding it bread and it would fly up and give the food to its kids. It was so hard to take a clear photo though it KEPT MOVING. and that was my day. Tomorrow we leave for Kythira and I'm very excited to see the Brisbane family there.

Today was pretty fun.

We planned to go to the (Renée you will love this) the pink sand beach. We woke up early, had more pastries for breakfast and got ready to go.

The drive took 2 hours and all I did to entertain myself was listen to music.

Eventually when we got there we went to the beach and IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL. I was expecting the beach sand to be all pink like the black beach sand but it was only a faint part (like half a metre) between the normal sand and the water. I tried to scoop some up which took forever for that photo.

Barbra and I spent a good half an hour taking photos at the beach which is very sad but at least the photos turned out pretty good.

On that day, snapchat was doing a geo tag in the Greek islands and they gave you challenges. One of them was to make a Greek temple out of sand. We tried to build the Parthenon and it FAILED SO BAD.

It was time to leave and on the way home we saw some goats on the road which was very random.

We got home and we chilled at the house till it was dinner time. Dad found a place with 2 tv’s with the Wimbledon on so of course we had dinner there.

And that’s my day today. It took way too long to get some of those photos on my phone. I need to update more regularly.

Today was a little better than yesterday First of all we explored the harbour and everybody was going to the lighthouse area so we did too. While walking there, their were so many people playing the accordion for some reason. Anyways it was a nice walk and we took some pictures. We then stopped by for morning tea and I got a smoothie which was delicious and some crepes. Everything was great except all the sketchy dudes coming up to us wanting us to buy their selfie sticks every 5 seconds. We then explored a lot of the shopping area and Barbra got a wallet, watch and those gladiator boots. I on the other hand got a little present for my friends each and for myself I got a real wood pencil with my Greek name on it (exciting, I know). We then hung out in the house until it was dinner time. It took us a good 30 minutes to find somewhere to eat bc there are so many reatraunt places to choose from. We finally picked a place. The food wasn't spectacular but I liked the chicken dish (I have no photos oops I'm a terrible blogger I know). And that's about my day today. Still not a huge fan of Crete but hopefully it will get better.

I'm just going to upload these whenever I can't keep to a time schedule. So today was the last day in Santorini which was very sad. To make the most of it (because we had to leave the apartment at 11:30), we went swimming in the pool for the last time. It was really fun. We then got packing and left. Luckily we had the car till 3pm perfect timing to leave for the boat. We visited a few shops in Fira but I didn't buy anything or didn't take any pictures. After all the walking around we did it finally reached 3 and we drove to the port. We had ice creams and sat in the terminal area until 5 to leave for our boat to Crete. The boat ride was really fun. The place was modern and there was so much space. It fit for 500 people but only about 60 were on the boat. Barbra and I sat at a big area with a table and she watched Kardashians while I wrote yesterday's blog and coloured in. We also got donuts which were yum. We finally arrived and got a rental car to drive to our air bnb house which took 2 hours. We got really lost when trying to find the house and by this time it was 10:30 at night and we were in sketchy alleyways with our suitcases and I felt really unsafe. By 11 we found our air bnb house with the help of some locals who really didn't know where we were going either. The lady came and showed us the house which was 4 STOREY. It looked really sketchy and I'm not a fan of this place (it's 200 years old). Things keep falling apart in the house and the lady that showed us the house is a bit of a scatterbrain (as said by dad) and creepy. While I'm terrified we go and get dinner. When we're walking to the food places we walk past a knife shop that's still open. This makes me even more terrified. I didn't even feel like eating I just wanted to go back to the place and sleep. Today was not successful in the end for me. I'm not so excited on what's to come. Hopefully tomorrow will make up for it.

Ok finally I can write about yesterday. I'm terrible oml. Currently I'm on a boat trip for 1 1/2 hours and the reception is great. Ok so first of all that first picture is the apartment I just wanted a picture of it on my blog so it's there. At the start of the day I wanted to be a basic white girl and go and tan. It was the perfect time to. I just chilled on one of the beds and took a basic white girl leg photo but I think it looks pretty good ngl. We then went into the pool, took some photos and did that hair flick in the water thing everyone does. I LOVE HOW IT TURNED OUT. By the end I was a shade darker (yesyesyes) and I got a little burnt in the back but it's all good now. We then walked a bit and found a cafe pale that apparently had the best waffles. AND OH MY WERE THEY RIGHT JUST LOOK AT THEM THEY WERE SO DELICIOUS. after that we kept walking to the top of a hill and took some pretty photos of the ocean (even though it was the same view from the apartment. My parents just wanted to see it from a 'different angle'). We then got a hire car and drove around Santorini. It was a small manual car and luckily mum knows how to drive a manual. You also have to drive on the right side which is even harder. Luckily after driving for a bit mum got the hang of it. We drove and saw a BLACK SAND BEACH IT WAS AMAZING. I've never seen anything like it. We were only there for like 2 minutes for pictures then drove off. It was too hot to stay there. And that was all. Now to write today's blog entry and get the pictures on my phone before night.
