Sometimes I remember Amane is a 13 year old boy who has been dead for decades and is bound to a highschool bathroom. Then I go into a deep mind dive into how much I sympathize for him, how wild his brother is, and then the parts of Amane that we don't know because he doesn't like to share his real feelings.

Then I read the next page of the manga and my eyes tear up for Kou, because he is amazing, I feel like adopting him as a little brother, and I would shower him with hugs and telling him he's strong enough.

And then I look at Nene, and I also tear up because she is just a girl who doesn't only get bodyshamed by her classmates but from a bunch of random paranormal beings. Like, imagine just wanting a boyfriend and you get your calves and ankles bashed on emotionally so hard all of the time?

And then I close the book and totally act normal for the rest of my Barnes & Noble 4-5 hour long reading time.
