I don't know how long this will last, but the situation here in Gaza is getting worse every day after the war between Iran and Israel. I forgot about Gaza. No one talks about us anymore, and the news doesn't mention us. All that is being discussed is Iran, Israel, and America. It's as if they forgot that the main problem is Gaza.

a post for my friend Ahmed ( @zinaanqar16 ) please read to the end and do not vote without reblogging thank you 🫶🏾

Recently I was able to talk with Ahmed for a bit, He spoke to me generally about the difficult situation there in Gaza and the lack of goods and the minimum necessities of life. He also spoke about little Ronza and how she suffers from malnutrition and anemia, and how there is no milk or nutritional supplements available for her.
No child, no person, should have to suffer like this ever. Please if you are able. Donate and Share so that Ahmed's children and family are able to eat and survive during the ongoing genocide.

please dont skip
I am Fedaa Al Nadi, a paediatrician from Gaza.
Kindly read my story below:
I am Fedaa 35 years old palestinian mother and doctor from Gaza .. till this moment writing theses words surviving Gaza genocide ..and trying with all ways to keep my family safe ..
I am married to Motaz Jad Alhaq, a nurse, and together we have three beautiful children: Mohammed (9 years), Omar (8 years), and Nima (4 years).
I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea for assistance, not just for my family but for the many others facing similar hardships in our region. Since October 7th 2023, the grnocide in Gaza has had a devastating impact on our lives. Our home has been destroyed, our jobs are lost, and everything we once had has been reduced to rubble.
Each day, Motaz and I volunteer at a local hospital, trying to provide care to the injured and alleviate their suffering. Despite our tireless efforts, neither of us receives any salary, and we are left to live in dire conditions. We have been displaced multiple times, and we now face the daily struggle of securing basic necessities like food and clean water.
We opened a Gofundme to try to raise funds, and we raised money but Gofundme suddenly closed our account and returned all the donations we had collected. We do not know why and they offered no explanation. This is why we come to you now with a fundraiser on a different platform. If you donated to us previously using Gofundme and your donation was refunded to you, please consider re-sending us the donation using Chuffed. We were counting on receiving the Gofundme donations and now they are gone.**
Your donations, no matter how small, can make a significant difference. They can provide us with a meal, a clean water bottle, or a moment of safety in these difficult times. Each contribution brings hope and alleviates our suffering, giving us strength to face another day. Please consider donating to this cause and sharing our campaign with your friends and family.

I forget who made it but I saw a post the other day talking about how a lot of trans women come out much later in life than trans men tend to (and hence why “egg culture” tends to be mostly centred around transfemininity) and it really made me reflect on my experiences with queer spaces and how things have visibly changed as I got older. I’ve been pretty heavily involved in queer and especially trans spaces, both in-person and online, since I was a preteen. While spaces and events for people my age were much more sparse (and harder to attend while closeted) as a kid, they did exist. But one thing that always stuck out to me was the complete absence of trans girls even at events mainly aimed at trans youth. I met a good few other trans and gnc kids at these events, but all, literally every single one of these people were perisex and assigned female at birth. Not a single transfeminine person to be found. This changed as I got older. I started high school. Slowly but surely the circles I hung around in became more diverse. I met trans women. I met and befriended gay and gnc “boys” who would later come out as trans girls. Now, as a young adult, the ratio of transmasculine to transfeminine folks in my life is near equal. But even now, the demographic of trans girls in my life generally skews older than the guys. And of course this trend is very reflective of the effects of transmisogyny in general, how the media targets trans women as the scapegoat for their hatred, painting ‘trans girl’ as a shameful and deviant thing to be. It is reflective, more than anything, of how we all need to be more steadfast in our support of trans women both in our activism and in our day-to-day lives. But I also think that everyone needs to make more of an effort specifically to support young trans girls. Transfeminine kids, teenagers, even young adults. Because I have met so many women that I know for a fact would have enjoyed their teenage years so much more if someone, anyone had been there to tell them when they were young that it was alright to be trans. The first friend I ever lost to suicide as a teenager was a trans girl. And I live every day of my life with the knowledge that if I hadn’t been her one and only source of support, she probably still would have been here today. Believe me when I say that I understand the importance of respecting people’s boundaries. I do think that insisting every gnc person must be trans is a bad and counterproductive thing to do. But I’ve also seen firsthand what happens when trans girlhood is treated like it’s a downgrade, it’s very suggestion a taboo. When nobody is willing to be the one to say “hey, it’s okay if you want to be a girl”. I believe with everything I am that the life and happiness of a single trans girl is more than worth the discomfort of a million cis men. And if you disagree with that sentiment I think you either need to fix your heart, or you need to make peace with the fact that you are a thoroughly vile person and endeavour to shut your mouth about transgender issues forever.

it’s crazy that we have to pretend people are oppressed for being skinny now or everyone gets mad at you and says “woooowwww it’s all body positivity until it’s a skinny person”. does anyone else think this. just saw someone saying they’re making a “skinny positive community” and everyone is hyping her . is this real life

I know I talk about fatphobia a lot but like, I can't stress how bad it is when your transfem. Not only is it harder but like, how hard it is to find support even within transfem spaces at times.
Having fellow trans women call me fat and gross and telling me the only way to pass was to lose half my body weight has been, frankly, kinda damaging! People I thought I could turn to for support will, instead, mock and belittle me for being fat. They'll sexually harass me for being fat. And the worst part is who the fuck am I going talk about this with?
I wish the world was kinder to us fat girls.

I’m making this post on the behalf of Sami and his family. Fundraiser here.
Sami says:
"A simple picture, yet it holds a powerful meaning. Tell me what did you understand, and what will you do? 'I understood that these children are in urgent need of donations, and I will donate. I will also share this post—it might help in some way. This image is full of sorrowful meaning, and I will do everything I can for these innocent children. I will donate so that they can go to school, eat clean food, and sleep in peace.' This is exactly what is happening right now with me and my family in the heart of Gaza. Please, donate—share—speak up. Don’t stop. We are between life and death. Don’t leave us behind."
Please do anything you can to help, any engagement is appreciated even if you cannot directly give to the campaign. Thank you so much <3.

⚠️Please Help my children ‼️
✅️Vetted by @gazavetters, my number verified on the list is ( #641 )✅️
Please donate and share
Hello friends, I am Abdullah Salem Abdullah Jaafar, 26 years old, a graduate of the University College with a degree in Information Technology - Multimedia. I used to have a beautiful family; I’m married and have four children, and my wife is pregnant.
I previously worked at a multimedia company, but because of the war, I lost my job, my home, my car, and now I have no place to live or work.
During the war, we were forced to evacuate more than four times. Each time, we had to leave everything behind without taking any of our personal belongings.
I live in northern Gaza.
We were displaced to southern Gaza, then to Deir al-Balah, then to Rafah, and now we live in an uninhabitable tent that is not suitable for living.
My daughter Rahaf was martyred in the war due to Israeli airstrikes. Now I have Iman, Malak, Basel, and my wife is in her seventh month of pregnancy.
Please, I am in desperate need of your help just to provide food and water for my children.
I lost my home and we have become homeless."
Please donate and share

In Gaza, we don’t count the martyrs… we count those still alive, to remind ourselves how close our turn might be🥺.
We die every day—😭not just from bombs, but from hunger, from thirst, from waiting, from hopelessness, and from the world’s silence.
In Gaza, a bite of bread is a dream, a sip of clean water is a treasure, and promised aid has become a distant illusion.
We die because hope has become a luxury, because humanity has grown selective, and because the world chose to look away.
Have you ever seen a child asleep, crying in pain?
Have you ever seen a trembling hand clutching a bag of flour as if it were a long-lost treasure?
This isn’t exaggeration—this is our daily reality.
Help us… with your voice, your donation, your share—so maybe, just maybe, our pain can reach a heart the world hasn’t turned off yet.Donate now, and be a light in this darkness🙏👇.
The donation link is below.

"Every day without your help is another day they suffer in silence.🙏👇"

This guy is my new hero. I LOVE learning about native food plants that just grow everywhere without human help.
The database is a little clunky to use (especially on a phone), but still loads of excellent information.

I'm keeping an eye out for heat stroke in my area and I can't figure out what a full body flush would look like on dark skin since all the pictures are just fake training pictures. Anyone have video/pics of a heat stroke flush on black skin?
