A Brief Pause To Desolate Paradise Content!

Important!

Desolate Paradise content flow and progression is gonna be put on hold over the next few weeks because of some important real life stuff needs to be taken care of. It's nothing too major but it's gonna be taking up lot of my time and focus.

I just need some time to deal with these things before I can get back to this project. Don't worry, I'll be back before you know it!

A simple idea that I never thought would've got this far.

Desolate Paradise July/August Update

Hey another monthly update, but it isn’t a good one...

You see I’ve been dealing with a lot bad luck during these last few months trying to tackle my life issues, it’s like a roller coaster that I can’t get off of.

Like holy cow, it’s never ending...

Anyways during the beginning of July, I’ve been working really hard on finishing Kane’s character reference and making a lot of headway through the first half.  

Of course just when stuff is going well, my unlucky streak has to ruin it yet again.

Around the middle end of July, this happened...

Yeah... 

Basically my body kinda gave out on me. Nothing seriously wrong, but I had a horrible pinch nerve that stopped me from continuing on with Kane’s bio or even getting any drawing content out. The best way I can explain it, I couldn’t sit down or even stand for long to do anything.

It sucked because I was hoping to finish him in July, but I was able to finish at least this much.

The whole half end of July I was forced to be bedridden and rest a lot to heal my poor back and hips.

I was really annoyed because I was hoping to get him out of the way by the end of the July deadline I set for myself. Sometimes it makes me feel like I’m a failure and disappointing you guy’s with more delays. On the positive side I do see the massive progression I’ve made in 2023 compared to the last four years since I’ve started. I feel that I’m getting closer to my biggest goal for the Desolate Paradise project.

I’m just rolling with the punches with the bad luck in my life and it won’t be discouraging me anytime soon.

Now with that out of the way.

I can thankfully say that in the beginning of August I was able to finally finish Kane’s character bio!

Yay! Whoopee for me!

Meaning that I’ll be taking a break from writing for a while and turn my focus on making drawings and overall content for this blog for the next couple of month’s. I’m quite excited to start drawing the many ideas I have and using the new tools I’ve been experimenting with...

So stay tuned!

Now what will be going on in the future?

Well I can’t really say at the moment, due to what I’ve experienced in the last few month’s. A lot of stuff is going on in my life and important stuff that needs to be addressed before anything.

Which is stressful for me but I know it needs to be done.

All I can really say is that I’ll be drawing for the time being as promised but the pace might be slow and having longer pauses.

Once I get these stressful things out the way, hopefully things will get back to normal again.

 I’m sorry about this guy’s, but sometimes I can’t control the curves that life throws at me. I’m doing my best to my abilities to keep going through these rough patches to accomplish my goals.

Just give me time...

Desolate Paradise Weekend Break Creations

Hello!

Welcome to Desolate Paradise weekend break creations!

These are just a few creations I do during my weekend break that is related to this Au!

During the weekend I’ve been playing sims 4 and I thought I would play around on the building mode and create some Desolate Paradise backgrounds to help me envision the landscape of Desolate Motorcity.

I tend to struggle with backgrounds, especially when it comes to a post-apocalyptic worlds.

Anyways, these are the few ideas I’ve came up with.

Desolate Paradise June Update

Hey everyone!

I have another update again. A lot of stuff has been happening in my personal life that has caused a bit of slow down on development of my characters.

I’ve finally finished Julie after much trial and error due to the limited amount of information I had on her character. I ended up having to improvise a lot of her elements and what will fit in this Desolate Paradise story plot. Thankfully I’m quite content with what I’ve accomplished with her.

Now Kane...

Like I said before I had a good feeling that he would easier to figure out then Julie. After plenty of brainstorming ideas I’m content with the direction of his character / villain. I just need to finish it and get him out the way.

Next will be Jacob and Dr. Hudson, I know these guys will be a lot easier in the story because of the ideas I had for them before Kane and Julie.

So wish me luck!

As for my drawings, I don’t really have much at the moment due to Kane and Julie’s character references taking a lot of my time. Once I finish them I’ll be taking a break from writing and focus on drawing for a while in July.

Don’t worry, I will still work on Jacob and Dr. Hudson, when new ideas come around.

That is all I have to say in this update.

I’m glad you guy’s take the time to read and support me, it means a lot to me even though a lot stuff has happened in my personal life during the start of this project that delayed it and causes a lot pauses for the comic to be released.

I’m working really hard this year and trying to reach my goals for 2023.

Desolate Paradise Short May Update

Hey everyone!

It’s been a while since the last update, so I won’t be here too long!

I had a few little set backs this month, like my commission job, hand or neck soreness, Art & Writers block, etc.

I was unable to finish Julie & Kane’s Character bio’s this month and many other goals I had in mind, but not too worry, I’m getting back on track. Hopefully I will be able to finish my goals by the end of next month.

That’s pretty much all I have to say, so enjoy a few small sneak peeks of project’s I’m working on!

Desolate Paradise April Update!

Hey everyone!

I have a quick and simple update to the Desolate Paradise development!

Right now I’ve just finished 5/7 Character Bios in the last couple of months, which brings me even closer to my goals of this year.

It was a lot of hard work but I was able to pull it off!

Right now I’m in the process of working on Julie and Kane, it’s taking a bit longer than I expected.

I am persevering and having a better idea of their roles within the story, Julie is taking more time to figure out and hopefully Kane will be easier.

So yeah, that is the end of the April update. So thank you for taking the time to read it.

I still have a lot of writing to do along with drawing in between, but I am glad that I was able to accomplish a lot throughout these couple of months.

Now with the summer season coming around the corner I should be more productive and creative this time around. Especially with the new tools I have, I will be able to beat the godforsaken humidity lol.
