The road trip
She was longing for a trip like that and the day has come finally, a long road trip with her man. They started early in the morning and quickly got to the highway and she was living her dream. He was happy just by seeing and making her happy.
A ride leaning on his back, a ride talking and dreaming future, with breeze on the face, drizzling for a while, this is everything she needed before they would start their long distance relationship. They stopped for a break to have their breakfast - on the side of the road, under a tree with his girl. They both loved the break, the chat and the food.
They quickly reached the hotel and checked in. To be with him, stay overnight with him, talk all that she had to tell him, lying down on his chest and dozing off just while talking was poetic. She wished that romantic night would last forever and ever !

Back to the present
From all the evergreen flashbacks, with this post I am forced to come to the present. The present that is dark, hopeless, from where she could see no future. Just as people say there are days of nurturing, blossoming and withering in every relationship; did her love encounter the withering days so soon ?
They were ideal couple, indeed they were. She never fought for anything other than him - she wanted him to be hers soon and she wanted him as much as possible - more time with him, more memories with him, being his first, being his everything because he was her everything !
He did not even ask that from her - time or attention or anything. He wanted her heart to be his. He would say okay to anything and everything she asks, she says. He was the best man, a woman could ever get !
They were ideal-real couple who would live and establish love for decades, only if this environment would let them live. Family, social, **** is messing with the love that is meant to be the best on earth !

Bike rides
How many times would they have gone out on those romantic bike rides ! There are several days when they went for 2 or 3 rides on a single day. She just can’t wait for him to ask her out for a ride, and if he doesn’t she never hesitates to ask him for that.
Two sides of high grown grass where no one trims them ever since they are grown here. The road amidst them has quite some turnings and no lights, no matter how dark it is. And after it’s dark, no one takes the road except for people longing for some romance or adventure. This couple was there for the first every time they were there.
They would talk sometimes, enjoy their time in silence at times, this place has seen her happy, seen her cry, seen her angry and seen her mad. This is where they come whatever the mood is, they always go back from here with a happy face and hands together.

Movie and the kiss
It was a blissful night...
He asked her out for a movie, and they both stayed back in office little extra to directly head to the theater for the night show. While going they had a flat tire and so they had a little fight and then got an auto-rickshaw and quickly found there seats as the movie had already started.
He tried to hold her hand, but she just pushed him aside. He was puzzled, he knows that she likes him and he knows that she came for the movie just for holding his hands and leaning on his shoulder (which she longs she could do forever in her life). Then there was several moments of silence, when they both became just strangers watching the same movie show in adjacent seats. This felt so awkward for both of them, they knew how much each one liked the other, just that they never needed words to express that.
After silence, he again tried to talk and she was rude - asked, “What is that you want now ?” She was all upset with the flat tire and being late to movie. He immediately answered her - “I need a kiss, will you give ?”
This was their first romantic statement ever ! It was all hearts everywhere in the theater, they knew both loved each other but, he just said that this was valentine love and nothing less ! She kept her silence, just as to revenge him for not holding her hand instantly in the earlier movie :D After a 2 minute interval which seemed like years for him, she called him to tell something.
He came closer with no idea of what it was.
She grabbed him and kissed him <3 <3 <3
Momentarily, he kissed her back on her forehead..
Now it is love between them - undeclared, never told, never have to be told because when 2 hearts found its solace in the other.
What a long wait for this day to come, for this moment to realize that it is him for whom she was born.
It was for him, that it did not happen with no one else in these 26 years..
It was for this kiss on forehead all that wait was worth for...
It was this gaze into his eyes, told her why she was here on earth !

The ring that waits for her engagement
As these couples got closer everyday, the team in which they worked underwent lot of changes. There was a farewell for which she was supposed to buy gift and though uninvited he said that he would join her in the shopping. She instantly said yes, as she was just waiting to spend time with him.
They went to every jewelry shop on the street, and everywhere he made her wear rings and asked if it was okay for the farewell gift. And she did not like anything of it, and he kept trying rings on her. Finally both liked a ring - a diamond ring, but now he said that he is seeing the ring for her and not to gift it in the farewell. And guess what, she just walked off the place saying she would never get it from him.
He came running back, telling her that this is his gift for her inputs trying to get him through his promotion interview. But, she cried instantly saying that she would never wear a diamond ring until he gets that promotion.
And it was this moment that he knew she loves him the same way he does. He drove the bike silently till the office, and she kept talking as usual :)

The day he finally said
She wanted him to hold her hands forever, but how would she ever ask him that. There is this female thing in every girl, you can call it ego or you can say that is shyness or you can even call it wanting some man stuff from her guy. Whatever be the name, we girls are not going to tell you that we want you however desperate we feel inside.
That was her state also, and this was the time when her parent started seeking eligible guys to get her married to. She was not unto that, but she did not know whom to tell that to - her guy or her mom. And one day she showed him a picture of one of those eligible guys and asked him his opinion on whether to marry a stranger or to stay single forever. He said, you cannot stay single forever - maybe not now but sometime in your life you will need someone to care for you.
And then she asked the big question - will you not care for me ? And then he said the bigger answer - “If I were eligible, I wouldn’t be asking your permission to”
And there she went soaring high in the sky, she now knew that he liked her the way she did. Leave alone, the differences, eligibility and everything that put them apart - he liked her and she liked that.

The movie night..
Days passed by, they spent all their time at work together - complementing each other so well that every meeting, event, get together, lunch, snacks, movie, team outing could not see either one of them alone. She always liked him, he always liked her ! But what has changed now is, they knew that each other liked them. Their intimacy grew..
Leave alone the weekday work hours, he was preparing for his promotion interview and who else would be the perfect tutor for him. She never minds to come in almost every weekend, sit together with him, work on his resume, introduction, walk through technology areas and what not. They knew each other so well by now, the interview day came. She was waiting outside his room to know how well he did, she was waiting like a man waiting outside maternity ward for his wife. He came, they met, he saw her, she was curious, they spoke, they left the place :)
Then came this movie night with their entire team, they went to the Kingsmen II movie. Everyone knew that they will choose to sit next to each other and so they did. Neither she liked Hollywood movies, nor this story interested her, but he liked it. She was grumpy throughout the movie and during the last 15 minutes the air-conditioning in the theater made her freezing cold.
Now, she told him, “I am cold”
He looked at her..
She touched his hand to show how cold she was.
Then there was a minute of silence.. He knew what she wants, but what stops him !
Then she held her hand back and sunk in her chair like a kitten.
5 minutes of movie for him, felt like 5 million years of disappointment for her.
And then, he took her hand and held it tight. He asked, “Are you warm now ?” She said, “Yes I am, thanks”
But both knew there is more to it than her coldness and his warmth.

Miles away from home and loved ones....
She was an introvert, she has been able to talk her heart out only to 2 or 3 people and one of them has been her mother. She has never stayed out of her home - for schooling, higher education, work, friends or anything. Her small world has been full of changes from the day she found her missing piece in him <3
She is here on a strange land for the for the first time miles away from her home, mom, her bike, her very few friends.. She quit her successful career, and no one would understand what is she upto in life. It was cold, she was alone in a basement room, doing things that she never ever did in life - cooking, cleaning, washing and what not ! She was there for her higher education, that had nothing to do with what she wanted to be in her life, except that it gave her a way to escape from every wall that she and her family built around her back in her homeland. Every time she breaks down, she would tell herself that he is worth all this :) he is..
