This image is taken by Shelby Tsuji, this shows how people like to change the way they look with make up by coving up what they don't feel happy with like this lady uses the foundation to cover up her freckles and make her face clear. People could do this to either because of how they feel or how other people make them feel.

Tracey Emin this is called sad shower in New York 1995, this shows a negative and dark perspective of her self image. This could show that she's lonely as the back ground is completely blank and she's on her own.

The artist Jen Davis does self portraits about her weight and is they are very intimate. Its not about covering up what she dislikes about her self she's being completely honest about the daily struggles of being over weight.

SELF PORTRAIT - Time Lap
They have made this by videoing them selves for a time period and making the pace faster to fit it in a 25 second video. This would show what little habits you have that you don't notice yourself or if you were somewhere exciting you might want to video your experience there. I would like to do one of these my self as i find them really interesting.

This photo gives of the impression to the audience that someone can go together so many emotions in such a short period of time. The color pallet they have used is bright but simple. Also showing the different features on her face are enhanced by the colors making them the main focus.

This image in by Marco Brambilla 2009. I think this image is showing two main emotions anger and upset and how they deal with them. Each picture of the person look the same but when you look closely they each have a minor differences. I like that all the faces are blended in and not singular showing there a multiple emotions at the same time.

This artist Lorena Cosba has made the image really effective as it shows the young and old her mixed together giving the impression nothing changed even when you grow up. I like the way they have left the bits they have ripped still on the image, its portray the wear and tear that the effects have on your body.

Henry Matisse has done a range of continuous portraits. I liked this one as it shows lots of emotions to the audience. From my perspective it looks like she is crying, it looks like its done quite quickly and he didn't really have to think about it. I feel like i could do something similar if i had plenty of practice.
