Rindou with a s/o who's not serious and likes to joke around.

Rindo Haitani:

Despite Rindo's sadistic tendencies and stoic facade, he finds himself drawn to a significant other who is the complete opposite - someone who is not serious and loves to joke around all the time. At first, Rindo might have been skeptical of their carefree nature, but as he spends more time with them, he begins to appreciate the light-heartedness they bring into his life.

Rindou Haitani x Reader: Strawberry

When Rindou asked you out, you were really shocked.  He was a delinquent, a powerful one at that.  You were just a normal student who didn’t get into trouble.  Truth was, that’s what he liked about you.  The fact that you weren’t scared of him or treated him differently.  You were nice and pretty.  Sadly, he picked the worst day to go on a date.  It was extremely hot.  What made it worse was every restaurant he tried to take you too was jammed packed because everyone was escaping from the heat.  And most ice cream parlors were too.

“It’s okay Rindou,” you told him with the brightest smile, “I know the perfect spot!”  You grabbed Rindou’s hand.  Rindou started to turn as red as a tomato.  But he followed you through the crowded streets of Roppongi.  The further you got away from the main shopping areas the less crowded it became.  He was so focused on trying to play it cool that he didn’t notice you stop in front of an old wooden cart.  “Tad Ah,” you said proudly motioning to the ice cream cart.

“There’s no line,” he dumbly stated, trying to calm down his flustered self.

“Yep!  My dad used to take me here all the time when I was little.  No one usually ventures this far from the main shops, but I think they have the best ice cream in Roppongi!”

“Bold statement.  Let’s test that theory.”  The two of you walked up to the cart owner and ordered.  He got matcha and you got strawberry.

“How do you like strawberry ice cream,” he bluntly asked as the two of you ate.

You paused for a second before turning towards him, “I think it’s nice.  It’s more interesting than plain vanilla but not as sweet as chocolate.  It takes the best of both flavors and combines them, with the extra fruitiness.”

After your little date, he took you back to your dorm.  “Thanks Rindou,” you said smiling, “I had a great time.”  

He smiled back, “I did too.  Wanna go out another time?”

“I’d love that.”

You headed into your room when suddenly you turned around and kissed him gently.  “Bye Rindou,” you said before opening the door and disappearing into your room.  As he walked out of the dorms and back home, he realized something.  You were right.  Strawberry was nice.

- learned English by reading books at the orphanage

- half his life he didn’t know his origins so even if he’s half Japanese and half Filipino he doesn’t know any single words of Tagalog

- he doesn’t like slow people, he prefers when others are fast/quick to do what he orders

Ran thinks that the two of you together are adorable.

Yes sure, he knows damn well that both the both of them are delinquents who ruthlessly rule the back alleys of Roppongi with an iron fist, and that they are indeed supposed to be feared. But how was he supposed to think any other way when he sees Rindo with you?

Even though you clearly are the more easygoing and naive of your little pair with a tendency to go along with whatever it was that Rindo wanted, in Ran's eyes, its still his younger brother who comes off as the lost puppy trailing you looking for affection and attention, happy to let you lead him around by the nose. Yes, both of the Haitanis have both been in and out of juvie for various reasons, and Ran is perfectly aware of how Rindo is actually like during fights, having no qualm with breaking bones and putting faces through cement. Yet Ran still finds it hard to find any good reason to fear Rindo whenever you are arm-in-arm with him, chattering away with a complete lack of awareness to your surroundings. Ran, in fact, finds it rather amusing to occasionally poke his younger brother by linking arms with you just to get a reaction out of him and see him growl and threaten.

There was no way that Ran could possibly hate you, not with what you had done for Rindo. As the older of the two (not by much but still), Ran takes it upon himself to learn about and keep an eye out for Rindo, even if the younger Haitani dislikes his older brother's intrusions into his life.

And from what Ran can tell, Rindo has only changed for the better - as much as a delinquent can, at least. He knew that the day you picked Rindo over him was the day that something within Rindo had sparked (or snapped), and the younger Haitani had never let go of you since then, which you didn't seem to mind. Good thing either way, since with you came a sense of responsibility for Rindo that he never had, and Ran do so appreciate Rindo caring about something outside of picking fights for a change. Maybe you could get him to care about bills as well soon.

You did bring a breath of fresh air into both their lives, which the older of the brothers appreciates. With you came normal afternoons, calm evenings, and even peaceful nights; being a regular civilian with no ties to the gang life, you usually were the one to drag the two Haitani brothers around to your favourite cafes or the newest shops. Normal activities. Of course, the the only caveat to peace and normality being that you were within arm's length of Rindo, but that was easy enough to achieve.

Ran does however wish from time to time that you were the slightest bit more self aware and less air-headed. The amount of stress you cause his younger brother on a day-to-day basis simply can't be healthy, but more importantly, it affects Ran as well. Don't get him wrong, this older delinquent was content to watch his younger brother run around like a headless chicken from time to time, but when it spills over into his life and causes Ran to lose his precious sleep is where he draws the line. Maybe with a few more brain cells, you would be able to learn which action would result in a explosive reaction from your best friend, but it has already been years and Ran isn't hopeful.

Rindo always anxiously checking in on you whenever he could as if you would vanish off the face of the earth the moment he wasn't looking (being lured into a van and kidnapped with candy was what Rindo swears would be enough to work on you, and Ran didn't doubt as much). And when he couldn't, Ran would have the chance to be amused by his younger brother compulsively opening and closing his phone every second just to make sure he wasn't missing any messages that you were sending him, before giving in after five minutes and simply calling you. This would quickly turn into a full blown cursing and swearing session when you fail to pick up within half a minute, followed by a panicked Rindo dropping everything to take off and hunt you down.

This usually happens during school time, when the younger of the Haitanis reluctantly let you attend class, only to storm your classroom later on, though meltdowns also tend to happen at night when you aren't sleeping over at their place. And the latter is when Ran gets awoken by all the scrambling, sometimes getting dragged up as well to look for you when Rindo happens to barge into your room on the rare occasion you wandered out for a midnight snack.

Despite Ran knowing that whatever Rindo has going on with you isn't quite normal, with Rindo being a tad too obsessed with knowing where you were and what you were doing at all times, the older delinquent doesn't care. As long as his younger brother was happy, Ran was content with playing along. And alas, until Ran can knock some common sense into that empty head of yours, he'll settle for tying you to a chair and hauling your ass back to Rindo.

not gonna lie, this poor boy will probably go mad with the stress of not being able to see you everyday, and having to think about what you were doing without him there to watch over you

honestly didn't think much about it when he was first detained along with Ran since he had already seen you this morning at school

the realisation only started to dawn on him when it turned dark outside and Rindo found himself starting to get jittery, unable to sit still - now that he was trapped here, who was going to check in on you?

he would usually swing by your house twice every night - once before you fell asleep

And then a few hours later after he was done beating up the scum that inhabited his streets and your school, to make sure that you were actually in bed and sleeping, and that your main door was well locked (he can just shim your window open if he needed to after all)

Ran could practically see the gears turning inside the head of his younger brother as Rindo slowly pieced together his growing fears

If he was locked inside here, that meant that there was no one to accompany you at school, which equals no one around that could protect you, scare off potential bullies or worse (potential friends, he shudders at the thought)

plus, you weren't exactly the brightest of the bunch - Rindo was absolutely convinced that you would follow some stranger home just because they asked you to

or what if you ran across some delinquent scum that would take advantage of your kindness and naivety??

The absolute horror - Ran had to bascially whack Rindo in the back of his head and knock him out because this baby boy was on the verge of a breakdown and couldn't stop pacing around the brothers' shared cell

turns out, you really were as airheaded as Rindo had feared - you simply assumed that your bestfriend was not feeling too well and had decided to stay at home for the day, and you had gone about your day as usual

and you did this without first checking by calling him like he told you to, even though he had drilled this into your thick skull multiple times

he knew you didn't even try because you were surprised to learn that Rindo had been arrested when he could finally call two days later

which was the first thing Rindo did the moment he had access to a phone, much to Ran's amusement

you even had to ask him what juvie was

it wasn't the first time the two brothers spent time being locked up, but it was sure as hell the first time Rindo did after taking you under his wing

the older Haitani thought it was absolutely hilarious all the different shades of red Rindo was turning as he shouted at you through the phone, before quickly paling when he listened to what you had to say

took pity on his younger brother and stole the phone from him (which Rindo gladly handed over) so that he could properly explain to you the situation

Rindo insisted you come to juvie everyday despite only being able to meet you once a week, and of course you being you, obediently followed his instructions without a second thought

you quickly made friends among the guards, though they were nonetheless very confused at seeing you popping up everyday asking to see the same person again and again

but they always came out with either Ran or empty-handed

the times when Ran came out instead, you were still happy to chat with him, the older Haitani listening amused to you rambling on and on about school and life and the past day/week since you've spoke with Rindo

doesn't look like it, but you can be sure that Ran is paying attention and remembering enough to pass on the information to his worried younger brother

its only when you start offhandedly mentioning getting bullied at school by the scum Rindo usually takes care of that he gets anxious - of course you didn't even realize you were being bullied, happy to do anything someone else asks you to do

it was his worst nightmare come through

you were actually too stupid to survive on your own

when your bestfriend drills you for more on "sharing your lunch" with some unknown folks, you happily told him about the new "friends" you had made in school who always asked you to hand over your lunch to them

this poor boy wants so desperately to smack his head into the wall repeatedly

of course the moment he has his back turned some bastards think that they can start picking on you

and you didn't even realize it

but what can he really do from inside here? sternly tells you to stay away from them, and that they were not your friends, but knew his words fell on deaf ears as he watched in real time his warning exit out the other side of your head

at least manages to keep himself together, boredly waving you off as you let out a hum and skip out

melts into a panic attack once he was back in his shared cell, blabbering non-stop to Ran about how he was absolutely dead certain you were going to get yourself killed with no one to look after you

Ran lets him get it all out until he had enough

a light suggestion about asking their new boss for help, if he had contacts on the outside who could do him a favour, was enough to break Rindo's spiral, an actual possibility given they were just recruited into the S62 generation

Rindo was skeptical though - first off, exposing you to Izana of all people? he knew what that boy was like, he eats naive kids like you for breakfast

plus why on god's green earth would Izana agree to help look after an airhead like you? there's nothing to gain

though with a good enough shove from Ran, Rindo reluctantly agreed to at least try asking

at most he just earned himself another beating, but it would be worth it for you

"Hello! Are you Kakucho-kun by any chance?"

"Huh?!" Said boy glanced up with a scowl, though his hostility quickly melted away into confusion upon being met with your beaming smile, to which you stuck out your hand and introduced yourself. Who the fuck were you? "Whaddya want?"

You didn't seem the least bit bothered that he didn't accept your handshake, or rather you didn't seem to even notice, ploughing forward with your words much like a bull down an alleyway.

"Rindo asked me to find you! Wait- I have-"

Rindo? He didn't know any Rindos, but still Kakucho sat, patiently watching as you rummaged through your brown school bag with furrowed eyebrows and the utmost concentration, before being unable to find whatever you were looking for and turning to pat down your pockets instead.

"Ah! Here!" Looking especially proud of yourself as you handed over a crumpled piece of paper from the unknown depths of your pocket to a skeptical Kakucho, the boy felt he had no other choice but to carefully accept the slip from your delicate hands after all your hard work, one wary eye looking you over. What a strange person - you didn't look the least bit scared of him despite every other student fearing the giant scar that impaired his left eye. Yet far from being any kind of credible threat to him like those who weren't afriad, you seemed be more in threat to yourself than to anyone around you, nearly falling over from simply attempting to plop down beside him with a hum on your lips.

But it was the all-too familiar handwriting that instantly had him sit up straight, his sole functioning eye scanning once through and then again in disbelief. This was - from -

"You know Izana?!" He blurted out, letter clutched firmly in one trembling hand. Kakucho hadn't heard a peep from his king for over a year, yet here you were with a letter from him? Who exactly were you? You only tilted your head confused, the top of your head popping over the edge of the letter in an attempt to scan the page.

"Izana?" You echoed. "I thought it was from Rindo?"

Right, he supposed he couldn't expect you to know anything about this, yet the letter offered no further information of the relationship between your 'Rindo' and Izana, just that he was to keep an eye out for you.

"Oi oi! There you are, you lil shithead! Where's my lunch at huh?!"

Ah, he could see what the issue was here. Kakucho yanked you back down before you could stand, lunchbox already in hand, fist instead blasting forward to greet the jaw of the largest of the three blumbering idiots. Well, if his king demands, who was he to disobey?

Across town, Rindo felt like banging his head into a bloody stain against his cell walls, the ache in the back of his mind flaring up again as you haunted his thoughts once more. There had to be something he was missing, there was absolutely no way that Izana would have just agreed to -

A hand whacking the top of his head broke him out of his thoughts. "Rindo~ Not going to eat?"

"Shut up," the younger Haitaini grumbled, getting up from where he had been sat propped against the wall to follow Ran out, ignoring the amused smile plastered all over his brother's face - the older of the two must know exactly what he was thinking about, judging from that annoying smirk.

All Izana had asked for was to meet you when he was out of juvie, and in return would grant you his protection by way of his right-hand man, a boy named Kakucho. But Rindo knew better than to assume things were ever that simple: what did that brtual man with his empty eyes want with you? Who was Kakucho? What if you became friends with him?

At least you had someone to watch out for you, though he had yet to determine whether it was a boon - he suppose he'll have to ask you about your new guard next week. Wincing as he stepped out into the bright afternoon sunlight, all Rindo could do now was wait.

"I told you! You have to moisturize it properly or it will dry up" As she said, Y/n took a jar of moisturizer out from her handbag. "Let me see it"

Kakucho lowered his tie, unbuttoned his shirt enough to reveal the tattoo on his left chest. You pressed your finger into the jar, taking out a fair amount of vaseline and applied it on to his bonten tattoo.

"I think I took too much vaseline out, lower your head for me"

Kakucho did as he was asked. You on your tippy toes applied the excess moisturizer on to his lips and pressed your lips together "pap pap" as a sign for him to copy you.

"Pap pap" Kakucho followed.

"Look what we have here, isn't it the Haitani's little doll?" A hand emerged from behind and grab your waist.

"Sanzu! Fucking let go of me"

"Yikes!!! Fine fine. As you wish, pretty"

"Haruchiyo, you want to get punched by Y/n-san again? It didn't end up well last time" Kakucho placed his hands on your shoulder motioning you closer to him, away from Sanzu.

"Tch, will you ever shut up?" Sanzu glared. "Anyways, pretty, what are you here for-"

Didn't let Sanzu finish his sentence, you groaned in distress. "Ugh you men. Why can't you just do something as simple as moisturizering your tattoos? Gimme that!"

You grabbed Sanzu hands and smeared some vaseline on the surface of his tattoo. "And your scars too. The skin around the mouth area is very sensitive so make sure to treat it well." You continued to apply some on his diamond scars. "Buy some vaseline, its cheap"

Sanzu "eh hehm" to clear his throat. "I'll buy some on the way home"

"Good boy"

"Aren't you cold, pretty? It's fucking freezing"

"I'm good, Kakucho-kun lent me his coat"

"Huhm, not enough" Sanzu hummed and took of his scarf. "This is better" the pinky grinned as he tie it around your neck.

"What do you think you're doing? Kakucho! Haruchiyo!" A familiar voice emerged from afar. The three of you look to the direction of the voice and see the Haitani twins slowly walk to you.

"Rin! Ran!" You smiled "Here is the document you asked. I'll have to run home real quick I have an appointment. See ya!"

"Hey hey hey! Not so fast." Ran put his arm around your waist. "Some modifications have to be made"

"Huh?"

"For example, this... and this will have to go" Rindo yanked Kakucho's vest and Sanzu's scarf and threw it back at them. Then very quickly wrap you around with their own coat and scarf.

"Now you can go" Ran grinned as he pat pat your butt cheeks to send you off "That car over there will drive you home"

"Tch" the other two bonten members clicked their tounge as they watch you walked away. "Two petty bitches"

"Yea we were just returning the favor. Aint no one taking your doll" Sanzu grumped

"We know. Just making sure you know" Ran and Rindo hissed. "Let's go, we have a meeting to attend"

Maturing is realizing that Ran has lost all the fights he was involved in so far in the manga and that means roppongi must have some of the weakest, most pathetic gangs ever if these two bastards are the supposed “kings of roppongi”

A/n: Just note that this is a five A.m. writing, I cannot attest to the quality of the following material. I have difficulty spelling some words, possibly dyslexia, so please bear with me!

He has anxiety

He’s afraid to show that he’s weak, and it hurts him in the end

Struggles opening up to others

-even people he loves dearly-

FInds it hard to talk to Ran

Only goes to him if he has a really bad day

Cries himself to sleep a lot

-same dude-

Very touch-starved

Has no clue how to hug someone

Definitely Aromantic

(or at least in the umbrella)

Enjoys reading sad books

Doesn’t enjoy sweet things

Probably reads several Wattpad stories a day

Struggles to keep his room clean

-used to eat sand as a kid, prove me wrong-

He enjoys solitude

Probably a cat person

Has had multiple panic attacks

He may not show it, but he truly cares about Ran

If he died, Rindou would be absolutely heartbroken

Drinks 2 pots of coffee a day

-It tastes good, alright-

Probably drinks vanilla chai tea

Definitely has a tree house where he reads

Has a battery-powered electric kettle and lights so he can read and relax in peace

-Until Ran comes and fucks everything up-

He’s just a solitary man looking for a quiet space and people to care about him

Has an unhealthy stash of water bottles

Comes home on the most ungodly hours of the night

Baji, Inupi, Hanma, Sanzu, Yuzuha, Wakasa

Keeps the place real clean

Mitsuya, Koko, Kakucho, Draken, Emma

Snores like a bear

Ran, Hanma, Taiju, South, Senju, Smiley

They come as a package deal (one doesn’t live there too but stay over enough for it to seem like it)

Rindo and Ran, Koko and Inupi, Hina and Takemitchi, Draken and Mikey, Baji and Chifuyu, Kakucho and Izana, Smiley and Angry

Leaves the oddest stuff in the weirdest places (ex. Sock in the freezer or blueberry muffin pack at the window sill)

Randomly throws parties

There better be room for his fish tank
