Fandom Problem #8691:

Idiots who assume that just because a bad topic is addressed in a story, means that the creator absolutely and 100% condones or even romanticized it.

Example the protagonist of a book series I like gets enslaved by the beginning of the story and he, same as the other slaves, gets treated badly and of course hates it and plans to find a way to escape. And so many people are giving the books bad reviews because they believe that clearly slavery is being condoned in the series, when clearly anyone with just the smallest amount of literal analysis skills would be able to tell that the series is painting slavery as something obviously bad.

And that is by far not the only time I have seen such stupid claims from people.
