if tbv!jk had been in oc position and she was the one in a coma, would he have ever moved on? he’s so he’ll bound on her betraying him but he wasn’t thought about her having to see him almost dead everyday for years and the possibility of him never waking up. so it just makes me wonder would he have stayed by her hospital bedside for entreaty like he expected her to or would he have lost all hope like she did and thought moving on would be a way for him to heal?

First of all, your ask has been sitting in my inbox for two months straight and I’m so, so sorry for that!! Thank you for sending it in, even though I haven’t answered it in forever it is a very valid question;

TBV couple have been together since they were teenagers, they moved very quickly with their relationship because both of them were sure there was no one else for them. Throughout the whole story you can see him mentioning their vows, kind of even blaming MC for her actions because, in his mind, he would never do that. (Sidenote: there is a drabble coming for TBV from JK's perspective where he indulges in the thought/your question more, so keep your eye out for that!)

For him, it’s very hard to understand her POV, and he even refuses to do so to some extent.

For him ‘til’ death do us part’ was literal, and as long as his heart continues to beat everything else is reduced to excuses.

His complete devotion/obsession is seen here “My wife doesn’t even care I wish I’d be dead, then live with the knowledge that she’s sleeping in someone else’s arms, living the perfect life we promised each other”, where he very brutally blames MC for her betrayal.

Fragments of his mindset can also be seen here, "The past week had been excruciating, he was alone in your home, in the place he should’ve felt the safest at. But void overtook his mind, coldness seeped under his skin, and he felt like he’s back in the cage he barely escaped from. No matter how high he turned on the heating, his body was shivering from cold, and he awaited the day his body would freeze, and the pain would go away. Death seemed like an escape."

He took their vows seriously, and MC did as well, but the human factor of seeing your spouse unresponsive and basically gone for years on end did its own toll on her, just as it would to almost everyone. She was miserable for a long time, and homegirl just wanted to feel happy again 🤷🏼‍♀️

Everyone was so divided on who’s in the right in TBV, so gotta love some standing up for MC 🫡

“Are you sure though?” her sceptical gaze manages to irk something deep within him, he knows his baby, why is she questioning him? “What are you getting at?” he doesn’t mean to come across as rude, especially considering she’s the only tolerable colleague in this shit hole, but her words awaken a side of him he’d rather leave untouched.  

“If you’re truly talking to her, why has no one seen her once?” she carefully weights her words, as if talking to a child, mindful of scaring them away, but Jungkook just laughs, finding the hoped loophole in her words, “Because she’s working, you alre-”  

“No, she’s not,” Thalia’s quick to interrupt him, “I saw her this morning in the city centre.” At this Jungkook’s grin slowly disappears, thoughts running wild, “Are you-,” his heart pounds in his chest, “Are you saying she’s going behind my back?”  

“No, I’m asking whether she’s real.”

Ahhh omg i just found your blog and lowkey stayed up until 2am reading everything you have. I'm very impressed with your work and can't wait for more updates.

For liag, i can't wait to see what happens in the next chapter. I wonder what the jeons kingdom is like since the mc has never seen it for herself and what events may start to unfold. I also love jungkooks characterization right now very mysterious and the meaning of the necklace!! Like he had said it belongs in the jeon family yet he gave it to her...so im like is he courting her? Also, if they did get married who would be the next in line for whichever kingdom the other leaves unless they merge kingdoms...?

For tdmoe, the world building is so amazing it just makes me want to learn more about the culture / history as how this tribe has come to have these ideals, etc. Although, i did have a question about the blood on their heads, everyone kept telling the mc not to touch it like does it eventually wash off? is there a time limit to keep it on? And did jungkook still have the blood on his head?

LIAG; to be fair, MC isn’t the only one who hasn’t seen the Jeon Kingdom, most people haven’t been there (might I add, for a reason 🫣), ha, I can confirm it is going to be interesting.

MC will have a whiplash of how different both Kingdoms are, we can tell as much by comparing both rulers or even JK and MC. Here's a lil snippet:

After 12 hours of traveling, you finally neared his palace. But the closer you get, the more uncomfortable you feel; not a soul is present in the streets, mountains casting dark shadows over the roads.

Felix sits glued to the window, for him, everything is just as new as it is to you. Although it is late, the vacant streets make you feel unwelcomed; memories of how other countries awaited you in the middle of the night, even just to see a glimpse of your face.

Uuu, the necklace!! Ima just say that it plays a significant role, ahem, khm, a bit hard to name it ‘courting’, but we’ll see the reasoning behind it in the next chapter

Hard to comment about marriage, as MC has very noticeably drawn boundaries between her and JK; she’s not interested in him romantically. This is a heavy subject, MC’s Kingdom is very cold to JK’s, it took years for them to even be okay with him. They fought a war with them for years, so many lives were lost, so a sudden marriage between both would definitely cause a backlash from her people (especially the older generation, wouldn’t be surprise if the younger generation were to idolise them into the ‘perfect love story’).

Also, MC’s father was very clear saying he wants MC as far away from JK, so he’d def disapprove of the marriage. In his eyes it would be a betrayal towards him and their Kingdom, so if MC were to go through with it, she’d have to abdicate the throne 🤷🏼‍♀️

TDMOE; yep, JK didn’t wash off the mark! For him it holds more significance than for MC, so in his eyes he’d be disrespecting her if he was to wash it off (that goes both ways, but if MC was to wash it off, he’d choose to believe she simply doesn’t know the meaning behind it or that it was accidental).

There’s not really a time frame for how long it’s supposed to be kept, but especially men are very proud to wear it if that makes sense, so they’d keep it for as long as possible

so being that TBV mc was with Tae for some time, how would jk react if she says taes name by accident. Like “tae pass me that cup” or they’re play fighting or something and she says “omg tae stop” or wait wait even worse .. she says taes name while her and jk are being intimate? How would jk react ?

Uufff, the way I physically cringed imagining this 😬

If it was either of the first two scenarios, I’d say he’d be too perplexed to even say anything, just send her the deadliest glare and let the shift in his energy be self-explanatory. Like sort of a warning to MC to watch herself, but aside from that, he’d def start over-thinking every single detail. Like, has she spoken to him? Has he tried to reach out? Is she still thinking about him? Why did she dress up a day ago? Where did she go? And so on~

But if it was the third scenario - oh boy—

This would be awful in a ‘normal’ couple relationship, but for TBV couple? Oh my god, no thank you. Homeboy is struggling as it is, and this would come close to pushing him over the edge.

He would freak. And he wouldn’t be able to bite it down. Confronting one-on-one, rage filled, voice straining as to not yell. If in the previous scenarios he’d be overthinking her every movement, now he’d straight up ask evidence. ‘Show me your phone’, ‘where were you then and then’, and so on.

This would be an immense blow to his ego, think I explained it previously how he wouldn’t be the ‘extremely controlling’ or jealous boyfriend/husband (although he does pressurise MC to go along with his ideas/wants) but this scenario would bring out the worst in him.

The whole ‘yandere’ started because his wife left him and chose someone else over him - this is bringing that side of him back. Not trusting MC’s words, going as far as to bug her phone, even as far as stalking Tae on social media - watching what he’s doing, and what JK is ‘lacking’/trying to figure out why she chose him over her.

This would not be pretty one bit; yeah, would not want to be part of this conversation 🫠

I don’t plan on writing a pt.2, but drabbles - yes! (Even though I’ve been saying that for months, it is coming!)

I’m not sure whether the drabbles will be about their life after where TBV ended, but if you’re interested, I’ve answered some asks on the topic, here’s some of ‘em:

I don’t think people expect this, but their relationship afterwards isn’t that bad, their biggest problem is that they both suffered trauma, and don’t know how to deal with it/refuse help. At the end of the story I tried to highlight MC’s inner turmoil, where she blames herself for not being able to hate JK; realistically, they didn’t divorce because they were on bad terms, they divorced because MC lost all hope that he’d wake up. And when he woke up she was very confused, she realised she loves both JK and Tae, but ultimately chose Tae because he was her husband, and also - loyalty.

She would not forget what happened, but the fact that her ‘husband’ is still unwell, would make her go into worry mode for a while, and she wouldn’t ignore him when he is so visibly ill. But on the same topic, JK is a smart fellow, if he deems it necessary, he would use it to his own advantage. For example, if MC brings up a topic he wishes to ignore, he will press on her guilt, and manipulate her into dropping it.

MC would be the caretaker of JK till he gets better, BUT!, JK would grow out of it real quick. He mentioned that he was the one who always cared for MC, and as gentle as his character is, he would not like MC babying him around. He wants to forget about the past 7/8 years, and her worrying about his every movement reminds him of how much has changed. ->

I have a perfect scenario in mind - MC would want to change their apartment a bit (a change that in her mind is absolutely necessary), and JK would try to help out, for example, relocate a bookcase. Now, his body is not well to do so, muscles spraining and body trembling, but he would not back down till he does it; hiding his pain from MC, showcasing a version of himself, that’s long gone, but in his mind - still present, and what MC needs. A version of himself, with whom MC fell in love with. Honestly, sad.

But in short, MC wouldn’t be home bound, even before the accident MC and JK were very outgoing, and most (if not all) of their everyday life was spent together. So, as long as MC doesn’t give JK a reason, he doesn’t care, because either ways they’ll be together most of the time 🤷🏼‍♀️

Knowing that TBV!Jungkooks mindset is still in his 20s while Mcs is nearing her 30th their priorities have probably changed a little bit. Say it’s been a little while and Jungkooks been recovering great but still playing catch up with his recovery and Mc has fallen in love with him again (stockholm syndrome? not what what to call it since he’s showed his power now) and since she’s getting older, she’s ready to be a mother. I read how they didn’t really try for children prior to the accident due to them being so young and just in love. Would Jungkook make Mc hold off on being a mother because he’s trying to live almost a decade of his life or will he be willing to have a child with her if it’s her number one wish? Knowing a having a baby is a massive step in a relationship and a lifelong commitment. If he didn’t want a baby yet when he was in his 20s would he be willing to provide her with a baby while his mind is in his 20s?

If I’m being honest, I don’t see TBV couple having a child in the near future; both of them are very lost of where they stand in life, and it’s not only JK who missed out on big portion of his twenties.

MC was tied to his bed in hospital as well, like, going in every day for yearssss. She didn’t get to enjoy her youth, even when she re-married, it wasn’t the carefree lifestyle one would enjoy at that age.

In one of the previous asks I explained how MC loved the lifestyle she and JK lived, whereas with Tae it was the opposite, a small village, farm - nothing new, basically every day on repeat.

Also have to remember she was married to Tae, and he’s very family oriented - if MC wanted to have children she would’ve had them with Tae. But honestly, I don’t think she’s ready for that

So, if JK has gotten back on his feet and they’re both able to experience what they both once lost - I’d say they enjoy it to the fullest 🤷🏼‍♀️

But if we were to look at the what-if scenario, I’d say it wouldn’t be MC that wants children, but the other way around;

JK is def looking around at what his friends are doing; I’d say that most of his friends already have children, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he thinks that’s the next step him and MC should take

And in that case scenario, MC would be the one against it. Their relationship is iffy as it is, add a child in the mix - that’s a disaster waiting to happen

If they are sensible, they’ll use this time to remember why they fell in love with each other, all the reasons they decided to marry so young, the little things that made them adore one another

Realistically if they had a child, little one would have the time of their life; I can imagine TBV JK teaching them surfing, running around the beach and travelling the world, because he would be a young dad with all the energy

But I don’t think MC’s and JK’s relationship would survive that. They’d have a lot more arguments, sleepless nights resulting in a easily agitated mood, child would also make them more home-bound.

Like, countless arguments that would result in MC loosing all love for JK. And he in return would become controlling, very much so ‘you do as I say’ husband

So, yeah, can’t imagine them having children in at least the next five years 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yeah, homeboy wanted things to go his way, and honestly - most of the times it worked. He works in law, so naturally he’s very gifted with the ability to present himself and also reason his actions/thoughts.

Now, he def wasn’t aggressive with it, it wasn’t like ‘if you don’t do what I say, I’ll blablabla’, he used logical reasonings to his advantage not force. In one of the asks I said how he pushed MC to get a job in his fams business; even then I can imagine him controlling the conversation by reasoning, like a) we’ll be together for most of the day, b) we’re offering you a secure contract, c) bigger pay, and so on.

Manipulation was his best friend, but he used it so seamlessly that one wouldn’t even notice and simply think he’s taking care of them or suggesting what’s best. 🤷🏼‍♀️

He was having a panic attack! The whole situation was too much for him (understandably), and everything was changing too quick. He hadn’t eaten in days at that point, completely cut-off his family and wasn’t drinking his medicine properly. His body was extremely weak, mental state was also crumbling. He was deemed to ‘break’ at some point

Hmm, the clothes; I think I wrote it as another element of his crumbling mental health (I don’t remember that well, I wrote it almost half a year ago 🫣). If I remember correctly, he was trying to find something to hold onto, like looking through her clothes, trying to find one that still smells of her. But of course smell dissipates and at that point years had passed and they were just clothes - a constant reminder of what’s lost.

That’s also why he slept in the living room - there was too much that reminded him of MC, yet nothing that still kept her essence within, because, well, the home was abandoned.

I know this goes against the plot but if TBV!MC didn’t meet Taehyung but still divorced Jungkook, say… due to his family becoming “possessive” (?) over Jungkook. Say they were scared that they was going to lose him; let alone everything that they had left of him. And obviously as his wife, MC would have gotten everything of his after his “death” (I have no idea how to form the imagine in my head into words 😭) However MC would have became terrified of the Jeons and power they hold to destroy her like she never existed because she no longer had Jungkook to keep her safe. Her fear of his family causing her to never want to be around them again. Meaning she would not want to marry Jungkook again and is completely certain she dose not want to live in the same city with them any longer. Would Jungkook have pulled the similar strings on MC as he did Taehyung? Getting her to lose her job, possibly kicked out of her apartment. Anything to get her back or would he have chosen her over his family and leave everything behind to be with her? This ask is soooo all over the place and I apologize for it 🥺🤍

We know that JK’s family is very protective in TBV, so I wouldn’t put it past them to go ‘after’ someone if they thought they caused some sort of ‘danger’ to him.

Now, I’m wondering whether I caught what you meant, because even though MC and JK are/were married, she didn’t get anything from him as he was technically still alive when he was in coma.

But her wanting to run away due to the power his family possesses and in general them being snarky towards her - definitely, it kind of even played out in the original TBV scenario. They posed a lot of pressure on her

But in general, it wouldn’t really change how both JK and MC felt - him feeling slighted and betrayed, MC - responsible and guilty. So, either ways they’d have some sort of contact

Biggest thing that would change, would definitely be JKs attitude to his family; he wouldn’t be as mad at MC, as he would be to his own family. In TBV we see him trying to find any external reasoning for the divorce; with his family pressurising and taunting MC , that’s all the reasoning he needs, he’d def unleash all his anger on them

He definitely wouldn’t be against manipulation, but that wouldn’t be his first choice. First and foremost, he would make his family apologise, then he’d play the victims role to gain some sympathy from MC.

We have to remember that MC holds a lot of love for him, and on top of that, she has an insane amount of guilt. If Tae wasn’t in the picture, she would willingly go back to JK, but that also, of course, depends on what his family has done in this scenario.

If the relationship between MC and his fams was unresolvable then he’d choose MC all the way; wouldn’t put it past him to try and ruin the family business as sort of a revenge.

He has a clear advantage even if he left everything to be with MC. All the connections and even a part of his wealth still stayed, even more so - he knows all the inner-workings of the business 🤷🏼‍♀️
