Just watched the first episode of TF Earthspark…. I get it now

How do you people in the fandom feel about this new fic idea I have:

It would basically be a retelling of Transformers Rescue Bots except canon would diverge at the very start. Cody would discover that the bots were aliens as usual, but this time he doesn't let anyone else know that he knows.

The rest of the Burns family find out as early as usual so their partnership progresses as usual, if not a bit rockier for a bit longer since Cody was essential in strengthening relations.

It would play out like this:

Cody funds out that the Bots are aliens and he familiarises himself with different things around Griffin Rock the help him sneak around.

Heatwave finds another reason to stay on Earth this time around (maybe either he's a bit less quick to anger? Sees some potential?)

The rest of the series plays out the same, with everyone in the places they're supposed to be (e.g Cody in the bunker when that volcano was erupting in s01 e02) but I'll find other ways for them to end up there.

Cody sneaks around and does his own things to help his family and the bots (at some point revealing that he knows to Optimus, maybe?)

Maybe when Frankie finds out about the bots she immediately goes to tell him (they're the best friends ever 🥺🥺🥺) and he convinces her to keep the fact that he knows secret and then Frankie joins in on the scheming

Comedic moments from then on and Cody being exasperated at how obvious the bots are being

Maybe some angst potential at the start since, in this AU, the Burns family doesn't tell Cody but he gives them the silent treatment for a while before deciding to get himself together and kick start his plans?

Huge dramatic confession from all the bots (including the others like Salvage, Blurr) and Cody just being like "oh wow no way I am shocked, this is me being shocked rn

Anyway, I feel like this would be in a series where I rewrite episodes (either important ones or ones I feel like I could have a nice little subplot)

This is a surprisingly alive fandom (I know you're here I can smell you) so if other people have any ideas feel free to lemme know. Idk when I'm gonna write this (when my motivation comes back probably) but I will write this eventually. Probably. Updates in my progress will probably pop up here as well. :)
