My favorite singer is Ramón Melendi Espina who was born in Oviedo on January 21, 1979, artistically known as Melendi, is a Spanish singer who has sold more than 3,500,000 CDs throughout his career. His specialties in music are rock, pop and, previously, the rumba when composing his lyrics. He is considered one of the best singers in Spain and has been the artist with the highest number of sales in Spain for 3 consecutive years (2015, 2016, 2017).

Stephen Hawking

Stephen Hawking was born in Oxford, on January 8, 1942 and died in Cabridge on March 14, 2018.

He was a theoretical physicist, astrophysicist, cosmologist and British scientific popularizer. His most important works consisted in contributing, along with Roger Penrose, theorems regarding spatiotemporal singularities within the framework of general relativity and the theoretical prediction that black holes would emit radiation.

He was the head of the Lucasiana Chair of mathematics at the University of Cambridge from 1979 until his retirement in 2009.

He received twelve honorary doctorates and was awarded the Order of the British Empire (CBE degree) in 1982, the Prince of Asturias Award for Concord in 1989, the Copley Medal in 2006, the Freedom Medal in 20097 and the BBVA Foundation Prize Frontiers of Knowledge in 2015.

Hawking suffered from a motor neuron disease related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis that was diagnosed at 21 years old and, over the years, almost completely paralyzed. He was married twice and had three children.

Kathrine Switzer

She was the first woman to run a marathon with dorsal, proof that it were intended exclusively for male athletes, when in the 1967 Boston Marathon she managed, registering as KV Switzer, starting from the finish line with number 261 and getting to cross the final line after 4 hours and 20 minutes.

In the course of the race, one of the commissioners, called Jock Semple, who was co-director of the race, detecting that Kathrine Switzer was, in effect, a woman, tried to stop her but the collaboration of her boyfriend and some runners, who escorted her to the finish, prevented the athlete from being withdrawn from the competition.

Switzer won the 1974 New York Marathon and finished second in the 1975 Boston Marathon, where he achieved his best mark with a time of 2 hours, 51 minutes and 37 seconds.
