The photo shows me and my father Zane, we returned from a music concert. My father combined participation in the group, studying at a medical university and working, despite his poor health. I respect him very much.

Me and Xeno, my best friend. That day he came to spend the night with us for the first time. We had fun together, watched the movie “Scream”, but he was distracted by the “scientific” books that he brought with him, I’m surprised how he was able to remember the movie in small details.

It's me and a close family friend, William Stoddard, a Navy officer. This photo was taken on my birthday, I was very happy because I had not seen William for a long time. He provided assistance in difficult times, became an authority for me and instilled in me an interest in military affairs.

In this photo I am 4 months old, my father is 22 years old. Our previous house burned down in a fire, we had to move, it was a difficult time.

Prompts were selected through careful analysis of all 137 submissions for similarities of theme, providing a variety of tones and moods, and things that could be either canon or AU without too much stretching.

Next time I am pulling them out of a hat.

Same as the last time we did this, prompts can be combined or not as the inspiration strikes you. A single work combining prompts from each day is fine, as are 16 individual drabbles keeping each prompt to itself. The point is to inspire more fanworks, and hype each other up about the pairing.

For the sake of making tracking things easier, we do ask that you post on the day of the relevant prompt, and tag the blog ( @kakayamaweek2025 ) the event, (kkym2025), and the prompt you used. An AO3 collection will be created closer to posting time, and linked in both a post here, and the links page on the blog itself.

AO3 has (with no exaggeration) kept me alive.

Fanfic is a free hobby.

It's one of the last few things we can have as a society that's free. You can engage, for free. People give you things (art, stories, etc), for free.

Don't buy into the consummerism just because it's everywhere else.

You don't have to consume everything you interact with. You don't have to use things, just because they exist.

You're allowed (still, for now), to have things that are enjoyable for free.

Do you realise how insane the world is? We don't have many places where we can just be, for free anymore, but ao3 is. Did you notice we don't have ads in ao3? We don't have pop ups? Where ELSE do we not have that?

Where else can you just go and not have to wait for a commercial to be over or for ads to be on the sidelines?

I don't think the younger people understand, but the whole of internet used to be like this. YouTubers would do Youtube for free, just because. You couldn't monetise your internet presence before.

Ao3 is like a little preserved corner of the internet where the old internet used to be, and it's being attacked by people who do not understand that free things are allowed to exist without judgment.

Please don't ruin this for us.
